Jesus Christ the npc cars are annoying.. me casually driving straight road with tractor + trailer, npc car rushes in the intersection with road rage speeds and rams me out of the road, because ofc the npc cars are immovable objects :D
@kimmokissa 😀yes, it happens to me too :D they stop with the front part in the intersection and push you with the nose away :D like some GIANT missile :D
@@SimUKReviews I think the gps is a good addition although very half arsed like there’s no custom ab lines or curves and the headland lines are awkward at best.
I agree, especially for console players. However, the AI are all over the place, worst I have ever seen & TBH if on PC there are much better mods (which I think you alluded to also?)
Things I don't agree with: 4:46 What? FS 25 has the most machinery at release compared to any of its predecessors. Am I missing something? 7:00 What exactly is pathetic about it? It does pretty much what you want it to do: deform the ground. 7:05 Useless? Maybe you're not setting them up properly according to their capabilities. 7:20 Bro, a cheap and easy addition is still... well, an addition. I'm happy with all the additions I can get. 10:00 PEGI 3, my friend. Don't get me wrong though; I agree with all the other points of criticism you bring up, but the negative tone of this video puts me off. Giants are (sadly) the only ones creating anything even close to a farming simulator, which I’ll always be grateful for -as well for allowing the arise of the modding community that has grown alongside the franchise. I’ll happily buy this game in a year or so when a good deal shows up. By then, all my favourite realism mods should be available. You have to accept that many Farming Simulator players (I’d even think more than 50%) don’t want a super-realistic simulator, and Giants knows this. This is why the game -sad as it is- feels like something between an arcade game and a simulator rather than a true simulator. I accepted this long ago, but I also recognize that FS would never have grown as big as it is now if it weren’t for this approach.
4:46 yes, basic vehicles that make the game playable such as the conveyor belt that can pick up carrots and other crops from the ground 7:00 doesn't work in multiplayer, doesn't stay after saving, doesn't stay after a while and it only moves the vertices up or down. You're never "in the mud", the tire is only always in a deep ridge 7:20 an addition worthy of the price increase? no 10:00 so was FS09 and it had crash sounds, however it's more on the manufacturers who pay for the development of the game and perhaps don't want anything even close to their tractor crashing PS: I agree with your take on FS and Giants. As for the negative tone of the video, perhaps its is, but in my opinion, this view is also needed as usually FS community shuns anyone who dares to criticise the game even slightly and this may be the stronger pushback until it levels out.
When there is no competition, there is no real push for invasion. It's a game of what's the least we can give them (playerbase), and the most we can charge them for it. The shader issue is an issue that they should have known about. Do they not test their game on the most used hardware components gamers are using. In all honesty, they should have just stayed updating fs22 but added more things to it. Like new crops, vehicle physics, animal interaction, etc. In my personal opinion they need to do two things. Go to the community and have a written (not tick box) questionnaire on what you want to be added. Secondly, they should ask the community what mods would enhance the game and look to help/encourage and/or implement them into the game. Even if that means outsourcing the manpower beyond their own company like even the original modders themselves. Have a good dialogue with them, so mod development for most download and used mods can be included on launch. One of my biggest gripes is with painting and terraforming. You can have a square, but you can't rotate it by degrees of, say, 5. If your field isn't directly 90 degrees compared to the map, then the square tool is useless for fields. Prebought the game played about 5 hrs just exploring the few changes and now I'm leaving it until the moders are fully in the swing of things. Currently, there are better graphics, more gameplay, and content in 22. So generally, there is no point in the game right now.
OMG, exactly what I’ve been screaming,, I’m sick of hearing privilege TH-camrs, who have been given this game, and much more, talk complete bull, trying to sell this Rubbish, One of them, who was playing on PS5, proving to his victims how bad the graphics is, but still trying to make it sound good, has now suddenly been given a PS5+, strange, trying to make it look better for Giants,, GTA5 is 10+ years old, that’s a game, not a sim, and all graphics, details, NPC’s/vehicles interactions look real, rain, snow, wind, fog, mist, trees, grass, flowers and illegal crops, as well as map size, and deformation, runs circles around FS25. I feel we have been robbed, and I’m utterly disgusted, Giants have gave us nothing, other than a bad attempt, to what modders had already given us, why do modders have to make this game worth the value that giants get all the profits for,,, I suggest that giants, don’t bother trying to launch another one in 2029, but spend the next 8 years improving this one, and make it worth the price tag..
I think the graphics and detail in this FS25 game look great but it needs improvements. But I don’t like the animation in this FS25 game when your harvesting corn with the John Deere header as the header is cutting the corn stalks the corn stalks just disappear instead of the corn stalks first being pulled into the header before there gone. I think FS22 does this animation better.
I think 19 /22 combined would make a great game. I loved 19... from 15 and 17 was great in the day but horses? The ability to strap down your vehicles.... nice. I live where tornados are tornados are real. So needing this from an European game is a bit lime flipping the bird. So good luck Giants.
You know that sealyp did a stream showing glitches he found and others that people were saying on the chat and recreating most of them. Also there is usually bugs in most games on release day coz they can just update them later on. It sure wasn't like that on the ps1. I miss those days.
@@NewKiwiJK agreed , I'm on ps5 and the draw distance is atrocious, half the fields not even rendering...fs22 is way better atm....still gonna play 25 but damn..
Same here. 25 is a bit more visually appealing, but otherwise disappointing. Riverbend Springs, IMHO, is cartoonish, and a case study in poor urban planning. It's as though the map designer went out of his/her way to make it is as difficult as possible to travel from any point A to any other point B. The list of complaints goes on...
@@ceterisparibus51 You maybe should know, it's the most accurate map they have made based on a real location. I grew up in that area of Arkansas/Missouri, and it's very much like being there. The map designer did a great job of making it like the real place. Small tight roads, cliffs and riverbanks...yeah. It's very accurate to the real place. Are you saying they shouldn't have made it accurate to the place it's supposed to be? Now, maybe that makes for a bad game experience, but that's not the statement you're making. Yeah, farming there is a challenge, but that is just how it is in real life too.
Yop! this is called a MVP Minimum Viable Product. The rest does the marketing. If some one could explain me how can it be posible that in 3 years of dev time they could not make the AI to do bailing? Modder will do it in 6 months 3-4th times in a row. I bought all FSs with pre order, next time i will vote with my money, and buy it on a discount. Their attitude is unacceptable!
I think GIANTS spent more time worrying about their bought and paid for influencers rather than developing a new game. When influencers like MrSealyP delete comments that they don't agree with, it's a sad state of affairs. To give up credibility so that you don't affect your partner status with GIANTS is a shame.
@@SooHooSamaSito MSP doesn't read or manage his comments he has an admin team for that. I found this out when confronting him about the hate comments being allowed towards modders in DMs on Facebook.
Was talking to a coworker today about FS25. I was starting to talk about the things they've added since I first got into the franchise with FS19 and it dawned on me that pretty much every "new feature" was just a mod from a previous title in the franchise. I found myself frustrated with the AI more often than not. A lot of things are not even remotely intuitive. Simple things, like getting rid of the trees on the farm in Riverbend, are just pure headache. I genuinely thought things like this would have been fixed, or at least not be as bad as they were in earlier titles, but it feels like some of them are worse.
It's funny because getting rid of trees that are in the way are hilariously easy because they don't do the hitbox collision correctly on them now. So you can cut the trees with a chainsaw into small enough pieces to pick them up by hand, and then literally crouch down and drop them under the map through the floor. It's so disappointing that certain parts of this engine are still so janky after all these years.
what really bugs me the most is that they still stick with the same angles for terrain. take the potato planting for example. 2 angles. its ridiculous. I mean, its not that hard to implement more ground angles. why do they stick with so few?
That has been annoying me for years. I don't know why they even include potatoes if they can't make the rows look right. Multi terrain angles have been around since 2011 in modded maps. I think they just rely on maps running north to south with square fields at right angles to each other.. A map has to be very good for me to play it without more terrain angles added.
@@mantrafiscus Yeah exactly. Same here, I am very picky when it comes to maps in FS, if theyre not including MT angle then its a no for me. Ruins the immersion when my plough furrows is not going the directiion im going
This rings true and needs way more views. Finally an honest review out there. From what I've seen(wont be buying FS25 for $50, EVER!) the AI has been improved from previous versions. Other than that, These were all good points.
Most brilliant and honest review about FS25 to date - literally the focus on accountability absolutely warrants more attention. Calling out the grifting simps who are in the magic Giants circle of content creators have the Kool-aid stains on their mouth is Karma. Their token to deleting comments stating facts they don't like or goes against their opinion just doubles down on the collective attitudes to the existing player base. Stop stealing mods and implementing them in the next release, stop playing eye-candy games like how a keychain rattled in front of an infant and instead develop REAL features that enhance gameplay. Listening to a grown person gush and simp on their Giant-partner channel over the graphics changes while ignoring the constant sky flickering and obvious discrepancies is testament to the 'sold my soul' contract they made.
100% the way the content creators were marched out of the gate with BS early access and not an honest word - do they think we can't tell the difference?
Finally someone dares to say that. Seeing every TH-camr praising this game, i really started to question myself. I am simply disapointed of what this game is and i could not agree more with what you said in the video. One sidenote though: A lot of tractors in real life (at least the ones i have driven) do not automatically return the blinker.
Finally, someone who actually speaks sense. I've been banging on about this sort of thing for years. As far as I am concerned the game is unplayable until both autodrive and courseplay come out at a minimum.
Now that I've watched the review in full, I couldn't agree more. Cattle and Crops started out as a decent competitor, but sadly it seems to be abandoned. If the game delivered on 50% of what it looks like in the trailer I'd be able to live with it, but it doesn't even come close to 10% The horrible 'saving' (aka loading) when I go to the map/menu, the ridiculous render circle, badly stolen mods... Why would anyone buy this game? The real and only hero's in this game are the modders, they have my respect and admiration 100%, but Giants can kiss my...
@@SimUKReviews The devs of C&C ran out of money. I played C&C a lot in early Acess and after release. It had some very good ideas, but as someone who sat over 1000h on different tractors in real life, I can tell you the physics behind the entire drivetrain was a real mess. The modders had no chance to fix this, because scripting wasn`t possible. I was quite buisy in the german forum, but the devs never answered my questions. FS25 is a good foundation for modders with a lot of possibilities. That`s how I see the game at this point.
Trying to harvest carrots on console for me is impossible because i have to use an ai worker to operate the harvester, which means constant collisions and the ai operated machine just refuses to move. Trying to second guess what direction the ai operated machine will try to move next is just hell and basically unplayable
More fundamentally, in my view: Why doesn't annual rainfall impact crop yields? The logic for this feature is fairly simple (although implementation might be a bit trickier). I'd also like to see a bit more random variation in prices across various sell points. As it stands, there is typically very little incentive to not always sell at the train station. I could on...
Best sim reviewer there is, thank you for the honesty and pointing out the blatent shills that have been running defense for this game, it so obvious to see.
A fair review. I'd give it a 6/10 on Series X, but that's largely down to a complete lack of any optimization which has once again resulted in poor performance and some pretty awful draw/render distances (crops, snow etc etc). I don't buy digital any more due to the general launch state of today's games in our wonderful 'no refunds' environment, so I'm safe in the knowledge that I can sell on a bad game and recoup some of my outlay....with the compromise for my loss being that developers will receive no income whatsoever from my resale and any subsequent resale thereafter. Farming Sim 25 being no exception to that rule....
Totally agree, just found your channel and subscribed, I tried saying this to sealyp in one of his streams he would not have it, as you say we will buy it we will play it and wait for the modders to make it into a good game, Gients have a good business model rebadge FS22 as FS25 with all the best mods then wait for the modders to keep inproving it while they make the money.
Whoaa now.. While I do agree with most of what you said.. Ai workers are hands down amazing now... Even in the pre release game they were amazing. And the ground defamation is pretty damn good too.

Thanks for your review. You gave all the answers I've been wondering about with FS25. I'll stick with FS19 with mods (graphics are still mostly the same anyway, just running more poorly).
Spot on in every respect. Would be great if they could, I don't know, maybe continually improve the performance of the game while also adding in more "Farming Simulator" elements.
As a new player of this franchise, which iteration of Farming Simulator would you suggest for a new player? I played a little bit of 15 and 22, but it's been a while now.
The Asian map, while having some minor similarities, isn't even close to japanese . It's a generic representation of the east Asian stereotype, and a bad one at that.
100% correct on almost all counts. Turn signals in tractors and semi trucks don't always auto cancel. Reason being, trucks often turn the opposite direction before making their turn, allowing them to turn wider, which would cancel the turn signal before they actually make their turn. Same with tractors. That being said, some straight trucks and some tractors do auto cancel. That's a VERY minor gripe and i honestly don't care at all about that. I don't have much to add to his review, it's honestly correct on all counts. The graphics improvements were 2 steps forward and 3 steps back with how poorly they did the upgrades. Ground deformation is done so poorly and unrealistic. I work on a farm as a second job, yeah, dirt doesn't work like that. The dirt mods from FS19 did more realistic representations. Still can't get "stuck" in the mud as you absolutely would if you were plowing in a downpour. As others have stated, until the mods come out to fix their game, i prefer my copy of FS19. I will give them ONE bit of credit. They did fix the game engine so that the game could run multithreaded. Welcome to 2024 Giants!!!!! You're almost 2 decades late to the party on that one!!!
You're right at the end. Probably will end up buying it, but much like 22, I'll wait at least a year until there's been more updates, and good mods have been released for it.
The problem is the put out a broken game. Fs22 had less than half of the problems this one does. I have only played like a hour of it because of the problems.
Unfortunately you've hit the nail so hard on the head that it could now be used as a wing on a light aircraft. Giants and their content creator puppets are the epitome of the access journalism epidemic we are now in. Giants drop the shit and the "influencers" feed it to the masses. The game, at a basic level, is worse than any that have gone before. Nothing but gimmicks and smoke & mirror crap. I hate to say it, but once a game goes cross platform it usually takes a turn for the worse, and that blame lies at the feet of Microsoft and their shitty Xbox S console. Thank you for the honest review.
Hit the nail on the head and pretty much why I will wait until it's in the Steam bargain bin before buying, I'll keep playing my FS22 with hundreds of vehicles and mods that improve many aspects of gameplay. Have often wondered why more can't be done with the animals, such as the horse for example. Have draught horses that you can then use to work the fields for those who love to play farm sim old school. Have cows that you have to actually put into their milking stalls etc and yes have bulls, stallions etc! And as for the new tornadoes, they could have done so much more with them. Have tornado sirens or EAS announcements on the radio and it actually damaging buildings and vehicles and you then having to repair damage etc.
I’m new to FS, been playing FS22 for a couple of months. I fell into the trap and bought 25, only to find bugs like the pressure washer won’t spray water no matter what and that the absence of available mods that I’ve come to love are not yet available. Having listened to your review, I agree 100%. I play Derail Valley, a train simulator game that has been in development for some time. They sell it and provide ongoing and free updates. I have no doubts that there will be DLC at some point, but for now they ‘listen’ to users, take feedback and are developing a fine and very realistic simulator. I’ve canned FS25 and continuing to play 22 and won’t go back until all of the bugs are ironed out. Why isn’t there a map like No Man’s Land available in the base game for many people who want to establish their own farm from scratch? I guess it’s because “the modders will do it”. I think Giants may have well and truly began resting on their laurels at this point. Thanks for the review.
Finally an honest review. I was so excited for this game as I really got hooked in fs22. I don’t understand how they can’t implant their own version of course play into the base game even for console. I understand on pc it uses “scripts” but while you work on a new game develop that or something very similar. To add on top of that, while the AI system in general got an overhaul the actual implementation is awful. The amount of unnecessary turns they take breaks the immersion. Fs22 wasn’t great but it didn’t look like this. How can AI workers not do every type of field work yet? That still blows my mind. These are the types of things that justify a new game. Lastly I have the best PC money can buy and the draw distance for buildings is unacceptable. Literally half the map disappears if you enter build mode and zoom out. I double checked this didn’t happen in FS 22 and it most certainly didn’t. Literally back up a bit and the entire town disappears not just becomes lower textures. Poor gone… move forward a little bit and it’s back. And the base maps are underwhelming. I didn’t think that about fs22 but they truly lack character. I quit the second day I played it.
@@SimUKReviews it certainly isn’t an upgrade from the previous engine. In fact I’d argue the graphics almost look worse overall. I feel like they did something with the color pallet to make it look more cartoonish. That aside, making a leap from one engine to the next I shouldn’t have to squint and really think if the graphics have improved to me that’s not a leap. Overall while I’m sure there could be a better engine out there… why can modders make very good use of the same engine giants can’t? That’s what makes me think the giants engine isn’t terrible but the ones using it are simply lazy.
Just wish someone would take some aspects of snow runner and or tell developers of snowrunner to make a farm sim. Maybe I like the idea of a underpowered tractor getting stuck in the mud while working a field
FINALLY thank you. You can feel in the other youtubers "reviews" that their trying to convince themselves just as much as us that its worth it. Its absolutely not. Especially as a xbox player, i got fs22 for free and most of the ad ons where on sale for 50-70% off. And they want you to pay 60-100 for tornados, fog, and ground decoration? How is fog a major selling point of this game..? I feel like the lack of competition in the nech has made Giants complanacent.
Moders keep this game alive ! And huge THANK YOU to all moders that keep me playing this game. As for the Giants , they did nothing new , They gave us 3 stupid maps, some new crops yeeey, 47 tractors in game that people play mostly because of tractors and harvesters. Equipment is poor, and for the realism HAHA ... One year bundle, don't be stupid as I was to buy it. And huge shout out and hats down for this review , people need to hear this, those guys from giants have to think about their next move and next game.
Non in particular, I've previously called out individuals but seemingly made no difference. I watched a few creators with early access, not a single critique from any one of them about the game.
Thank you for the review. I recently started playing FS22 and was wondering if I should get FS25, considering I’m still enjoying the previous version. I made progress and decided to try growing a different crop-beets. Imagine my surprise when I found out there’s no dedicated storage for beets in the game
You said that the game doesnt have gears, but it does have gears.. Only it is set on automatic by default. But you can change this by your self. But you are right with animal husbandry. They could do better on that. Pastures are also available in FS25.. That one of the new features.
I should have explained better. The gears mod in FS15 was considerably better & more realistic than Giants gear implementation. Whack it in highest gear, put something heavy on the back, and drive up a steep hill....the gears are not required.
Totally agree. I have been very disappointed in the lack of actual value in updates. I will say that if you were referring to “blinkers” as we call them in the US, those do not automatically turn off with commercial vehicles like semis. This is so that the driver must wait until the trailer is aligned straight before stopping the turn signal. If we could pick main let downs they would be: -base maps. They stink, plain and simple. Asia has some neat features but overall it’s just barely playable. I’ve found the others a waste of time. -equipment. All these things and yet it seems that there is a poor selection to farm with. It’s it not cutting edge at all. -animals. The baby animals are near but yes, you can’t interact at all. Let us pick up a goat or chicken and put them in the truck. And horses, they didn’t improve AT ALL. And are still worthless to have. My daughter won’t play because she is disappointed in the total dismissal of horses and my son won’t play because the maps and equipment are boring. I can tell you that unless some of these things are not improved, this will be the last farm sim we ever buy.
the criticisms are correct, but I'm still having tons of fun playing FS25. It's just amazing. game has been out for a week & I already have over 55hours in it. Ofc I've had tons of absolutely stupid bugs during those hours, and even contracts that are impossible to complete because the new "smarter" AI workers aren't really that smart. (avoid carrots)
FS25 is the last FS game I will buy. They have run out of ideas, and nothing they add could get me to buy another FS game again. I will buy the packs I want for 25 and not buy another FS. This last release could have been a DLC. However if it was a DLC they couldn’t remove all of the equipment from FS22 and resell it back to us.
as i agree my friend in everything you said. My frineds and believed that it was better NOT to create FS 25, but to do a big update in FS 22 and brings all this "futures" of 25 came as DLC for 22. FS 25 was a crap creation just they copy paste 22 and re-sale as 25. ❤❤ P.S. i will share this to the rest of the world he he :)
I hate a liar, I have no time or patience for them, one thing I admire is an honest person, you fella just changed my mind on buying this, even cheaper with one of those keys, I subscribed and liked your video, and thank you for saving me cash. Cheers fella
Well I was excited for '25 and purchased the Collectors edition through Amazon. Scheduled delivery is Nov '29. So in the meantime, I have been watching many videos and my expectations have sunk. I have set '22 up just perfectly and the maps are brilliant. Right now, I am very certain I will stick with '22 until the Modders fix what GIANT cannot. I do like the dynamic pastures, BUT they should have NO FENCES, so one can place them in an existing field!!!! GIANT WAKE UP!!!!!!!
It always amazed me that Giants could get away with coming out with a small update every two years, like Seasons in 22 and Ground Deformation in 25, wrap it in a new front cover and call it a release and take money for it when all other game manufacturers would call it a necessary update. I've been waiting so long for a TH-camr with enough influence to take up this topic - finally. I'm not going to buy 2025 and wouldn't have bought 2022 if it wasn't for Oxygen David's Maps. In itself, Farming Simulator is pretty basic and without mods it's mostly like something from Toy's r Us and very far from being anything close to realistic. Until the Giants come up with something groundbreaking, no more money is coming from here. Last but not least, I'm so tired of looking at the Giants graphics engine that I'd rather send money to ReShade and thank them for everything they've saved for the Giants. And Giant's AI should send a thank you to Balu AutoDrive and all the other Modders who have kept Giant and Farming Simulator artificially alive for several years.
I started in fs15. I have got every version since. For me, one of the biggest base game improvements was in fs17 with controller support. I mean, having some production outside is sort of cool but not main reason i play Really noticed the lack of choice of vehicles etc. Was like, if they still have the liscence, then they pretty much waiting to put out a bunch of docs to get more money. And/or models will do it. The "usa" map doesn't have many any real easy areas to make the fields into real big fields. Fs17 and 19 had that. I think goldcrest had better options for making larger fields base game. It's nice that they finally got some ground compression. It could be soooo much better though. Character doesn't have a good walking animation
I was not planning on buying Farming Simulator 25. The reason why I purchased Farming Simulator 25 was the simple version of GPS it helped me to use in-game plows because before I could never use them. In Farming Simulator 22 I would rely on moder plows. I do see a few bugs in the game. I do agree with you the graphics are probably a little better but I don't see a major overhaul of the game
I agree 100% with all you have said, I've been playing fs since fs 13 and a few things have gotten somewhat better but I am getting tired of waiting for them to catch up with the rest of the gaming industry. I've waited 12 years for all of it. I prefer survival games these days, I get more immersion and better game play. And I'm on console myself
Thank-you for this video, I was ban from 2 Giant partners stream for saying this. I have said since FS19 that modder saved giants game, with out the mods the game is just sad.
Your very correct on your thinking to be honest. I’ve been saying it since fs19, need animal husbandry. Not sure why they haven’t done that. Giants relies way too heavily on modders to make the game for them. Yea 400 pieces of equipment…. But where? Only 47 or so tractors in a farming game. They have done a few things right but still half of what the original mods was. Like seasons. That was a great mod. Lots of snow because I live in a place that gets lots. Fs22 nope hardly any. Little improvement on fs25 a little more but not much. Precision farming. Came as a dlc fs22. Where is it in fs25?
Complete agree with where your coming from, not so sure console players don't want a more realistic play but, they can't get the kind of results you get from a pc. That said the game had stayed the same pretty much its history and as long as we keep buying it always wil. I think the AI workers are an improvement but not as good as they could be or should be, the new crops completely agree, and what's more on the maps they yet again put none demolishable buildings and objects that force you into moving to another location as for the weather start of July, just started to harvest crop and the map get covered in snow, finished the harvest which I shouldn't have been able to do, progress time to Sept still got snow everywhere, which the ground deformation then deformed the asphalt with the snow so when using the salt spreader left it a mess had to restart the whole thing over. But still at least it's not Microsoft flight sim 2024 where you can't even get on the sim to play it
Fs22 does fine by me, when fs25 is less then half the price over 16 months from now and mods are available yes i will step over. Did this also with fs19 to fs22. Waited for the bugs to be fixed, more mods and a big discount
I have found two things about FS25 I don't like so far: the farm yards are too small to build on, and I wouldn't say I like the deep tyre tracks vehicles leave on the fields. It looks like a mess! I'm looking forward to creating better maps. Maps with flat farm yards with lots of room to build a large farm. One more thing. I hate that Guided Tour!
So not only did they put lipstick on this pig, they also bought it a new dress....I am done throwing money after Giants. The base maps they've released with the various iterations of the game the last 10 years at least have been pure and unadulterated garbage, with more emphasis on dolling up the place, than actually making a map you can farm on. Relying on modders to make the game enjoyable (and in many cases PLAYABLE) is nuts. Without mod support they wouldn't have made it past FS13. Thanks for the video, and take care.
All the modders should get together and build “Agriculture Simulator 28” so when Giants releases the next polished turd, we’ll be ready with a REAL simulator.
@@sQuEeZyMaN13 It's funny you say that but there was a game called Agricultural Simulator. Last game released was in 2013 and had almost all the features that FS has now
Honestly I love it, Its so great, all the issues and bugs have been stuff I can over look, The purple snow isn't that bad, yeah it could be better but it's alright
The way I look at it is, FS25 put out a really super base. A base the modders will be as always make into an epic simulator. As we all know it’s the modders that are the real developers, period!!!
I am enjoying it so far, but there should be a MASSIVE WARNING for the constant screen flashes. If you are remotely susceptible to these blinding flashes across your screen please do not play it. The woodcutting is still poor, logs now routinely dance in a circle for no reason, the cursed wood that is American Elm has changed, it's more manageable now, but hardly realistic.
It's like reinventing the wheel by making it square and then leaving modders to remove the corners. I don't know who is worse, Giants or those that try to sell the idea of the square wheel as being an improvement.
I stopped playing it for a while due to constant crashing on ps5, not sure of the tornado schedule but I went 1.5 years and not a single tornado. Hopefully they give it a big update soon
i mean , the interface of fs 25 is straight up coming from a mobile game , I was not watching too much FS 25 news and early reviews not to spoil too much , but when I launched fs 25 for the first time I was worried I have downloaded the wrong game :D the interface is so unintuitive , and it screams that I was designed with mobile phones in mind. And I totally agree that giants is making big shifts towards console audience , I mean FS 22 in itself was a big console DLC to FS 19, people tend to forgot how great and how big FS 19 was , I mean lots of online servers and I mean lots , online communities with drama and stuff :D and the amount of mods that changed the gameplay entirely was just bonkers, yes FS 22 sold better ,but at the same time FS 22 has lower online activity compared to fs 19 , ye ye someone might say that it's because of pandemic and stuff , but still , people were more willing to play , and to play hardcore in fs 19 compared to 22 , I mean the RM Seasons 19 was borderline 10x better than the cheap implementation of giants FS 22 one , that was actually the main reason I started to learn Lua and mod myself. I don't know , big disappointment in fs 22 and now 25 ,i think I'm going back to play my terralife save on fs 22 :D
I pre-ordered on November 10th through Amazon the collector's edition I am still waiting on it to be delivered to my house because they ran out. Then I wind up purchasing the Xbox series s version and have been playing that right now and yes it has lots of crashes but it's still a really good game but I have bought two copies just like I did 22 and I've been playing farming Sim ever since the very first one on the Xbox 360
I preordered from coolshop and that arrived late as well due to stocking issues. Not an entirely bad thing though because the bulk of reviews / youtube videos were already out, so at least it gave me the option as to whether or not I should return it unopened for a refund. On reflection though, I probably shouldn't have opened it🫤. It's ok but as SimUK pointed out, there isn't £45's worth of 'different' in the new game.
fs 25 I tried red beet harvesting with the biggest harvester i could buy and found had no crop hopper and you had to follow the worker while harvesting and the unloader would not fit over the large trailer sides. it was an absolute knight mare to control. i had a better result with the smaller beet harvester with its own hopper ???????? WHY
I am still in awe of how Giants was honestly lazy. They made FS19 and FS22 with new player mechanics, but honestly, it all felt like a continuation of FS17. And modding community made so much to improve physics, ground response, tractor behavior, add gearbox, crop destruction. Giants with hundreds of programers could do that, but it needed a group of dozen modders to implement it. And they were doing it since FS15, ten years ago! I believe Giants could've made FS25 technology in FS19 easily, but they wanted to milk two more games on the older tech, before revealing revolutionary FS25. And that is what bugs me, the sheer lazyness of Giants.
FS22: 6 million copies sold, plus millions of season passes / DLC 3 years of dev time 100% Self-published Received manufacturer funding for various parts of the game FS25: ????
I've got say I'm loving this game, i don't really care about the odd imperfection. Its a lot of fun and one the best simulator games I've ever played. I can't say how it compares to FS22 as i only played FS19. The graphics when it comes to the vehicles and machinery i think is excellent. There's definitely lots of positives about this game.
@@vespadoeliseu we're not stupid, of course it's the same concept and basic game with most things working in the same way. I feel there's more than enough improvements/new features to justify a new game. For me it's well worth the £50, especially coming from FS19 and the enjoyment I'm getting from it. People have different expectations I guess, fair enough.
Yeah, this. I’ve been lucky with few bugs or glitches. The game is a good improvement on FS22, but there is a lot of issues that carried over from that game. AI is still frustrating, though vastly improved. They still get hung up on things, especially traffic, and I’ve found they will take impassable routes and get stuck a lot. I’ve had my tractor drove into the river twice. Lately they will just bug out and stop working, and I have to reset them. They’re also really inefficient. Backing up across the field to start a new track, stopping a track midway through to start another. Animals are woefully underdeveloped. Contracts are buggy - lots of them will use incorrect equipment. I have some bug out and won’t complete, so I end up loosing a lot of money to cancel it. Twisters and hail were cool but I turned it off after the first one. Trees are annoying, I try my best not to mess with them, also terrain formation. GPS is great but it does occasionally not work. Productions are underdeveloped too, and a lot of them aren’t even worth the effort. Conversations are useless and sometimes glitch out and hijack my interact key, needing a game restart to fix. Overall, though, I am happy with the game for what it is, as I get what I want out of it, and I think it will get a lot better. But it is disappointing that there’s these issues still not fixed from the previous games. It just feels like they could’ve done better. I don’t see anything here that is so daunting or ambitious to do. It’s like with Mojang and Minecraft releasing the most boring, uninspired updates to a game that is so easy to mod and upgrade, children can do it. It’s a joke that professional game makers couldn’t make the game so much better than what we get.
I must say has much as I agree with you about 90% on your right I'm getting to the point that giants simply do not listen to the fan base at all I contacted giants software not so long ago with suggestions about what they needed to do to improve the game like introducing new crop types better weather conditions more animals etc but as you have pointed out it feels like everything falls on deaf ears now they have introduced more weather conditions even tornados etc and yes you can hear thunder in the game aswell but where is the lighting that goes with it ? Where is the realism there ? And as far has crop types go they have started adding new crop types but where are the rest of the crop types that as the potential to have made it in this game yet giants still ignore the fact of adding to the game aswell as adding fruits aswell I'm still waiting for onions leeks cauliflower Brussels sprouts pumpkins runner beans cabbages the list could go on and a important point you mentioned about the animals is spot on and I'm still puzzled that aswell as including a pet dog as companion on your farm why have cats been excluded don't giants seem to understand that you can get farm cats but to have not included them makes this so unrealistic and interactions so boring and dull unless the modding community can make drastic changes that are needed this game will die a slow agnasing death the weather in ets 2 and ats is far superior than in farming simulator and something giants and the modding community can learn from I was really excited for farming simulator 25 as I thought they were going to put proper thunderstorms into the game and with the addition of tornados as well sounded great at the time but with no lighting that goes hand in hand with theses storms but just the sound effects makes the game totally unrealistic so in all your not far wrong with your summoning up with this game giants really need to up there game if they are to continuing producing a worthy game of this magnitude for people to keep playing for generations to come.😊
Id give it a 7 out of 10, to me it seems like the economy is crippled, productions take many years to pay off as do animals. the investments are massive for only a small monthly roi, waterbuffo butter takes years to process a years worth of product in the diary production. The maps feel small but big at the same time however running productions at max efficency is incredibly hard. I occurs to me that giants intentionally nerfed them to get people to focus back on farming. This also was a partial issue with fs22 and wood productions where it takes longer to process the product then it takes to make it.
What POSITIVES are there?:
AI cars are faster and overtake realistically (mostly) .. BUT they turn unrealistically.
Things I don't agree with:
4:46 What?
4:46 yes, basic vehicles that make the game playable such as the conveyor belt that can pick up carrots and other crops from the ground
7:00 doesn't work in multiplayer, doesn't stay after saving, doesn't stay after a while and it only moves the vertices up or down. You're never "in the mud", the tire is only always in a deep ridge
7:20 an addition worthy of the price increase? no
10:00 so was FS09 and it had crash sounds, however it's more on the manufacturers who pay for the development of the game and perhaps don't want anything even close to their tractor crashing
PS: I agree with your take on FS and Giants. As for the negative tone of the video, perhaps its is, but in my opinion, this view is also needed as usually FS community shuns anyone who dares to criticise the game even slightly and this may be the stronger pushback until it levels out.
then they should be setting the standard, not half arsing it! stealing mods and DLCS
It is telling that he won't tell us who donated his PS5 Pro. (cough giants cough).
It’s amazing what getting flown out to Case Hq, and playing around on tractors will get you,
I think 19 /22 combined would make a great game.
You are right i did buy it i have played it and right now without the mods i much prefer fs22,what a sorry state of affairs
I went back to FS 22 as well cause it’s such a better game than FS 25 right now

There's no need to innovate when you can sell millions of copies of the same thing every couple of years. Edit: FS19 was the last version I bought
Unless your morals forbid such behaviour.
Yep. Sims 4 is another very similar example
EA ... Nuff said lol
Yop! this is called a MVP Minimum Viable Product.
Nail on the head chap! As always, a good honest review.
Thanks for being the guy to stand up and say what many others skirt around.
Much appreciated
Thank god for modders... Without them this game wouldn't be worth playing
100%
If it wasn’t for modders, this game would’ve died years ago
im NOT bagging modders BUT GIANTS should be the ones fixing their OWN stuff ups
I think GIANTS spent more time worrying about their bought and paid for influencers rather than developing a new game. When influencers like MrSealyP delete comments that they don't agree with, it's a sad state of affairs. To give up credibility so that you don't affect your partner status with GIANTS is a shame.
@@SooHooSamaSito MSP doesn't read or manage his comments he has an admin team for that. I found this out when confronting him about the hate comments being allowed towards modders in DMs on Facebook.

Well said! Glad someone caught that joke too 😉
Was talking to a coworker today about FS25.
I agree ive thought this myself but even when they add a mod as a basegame feature its never as good or just half finished
@@tev984well don't grab it then let go of the object whilst it's under the map lol.
what really bugs me the most is that they still stick with the same angles for terrain. take the potato planting for example. 2 angles. its ridiculous.
Pretty much exactly what I expected, lol

Best Farming Simulator 25 review by far. Well done sir you gained a new subscriber for your honest review.
Thanks and welcome
This rings true and needs way more views. Finally an honest review out there. From what I've seen(wont be buying FS25 for $50, EVER!) the AI has been improved from previous versions. Other than that, These were all good points.
Yes I agree, prob the first thing I mentioned positive in my First look video was the AI.
Interesting. I'll take that under advisory. Thanks.
Found a new bug for you just now... When you are mowing...you cant trim the grass while going in reverse. Ugh...why is this a thing!
Not spotted hat one unbelievable.
If the game delivered on 50% of what it looks like in the trailer I'd be able to live with it, but it doesn't even come close to 10%
The horrible 'saving' (aka loading) when I go to the map/menu, the ridiculous render circle, badly stolen mods...
Why would anyone buy this game?
The real and only hero's in this game are the modders, they have my respect and admiration 100%, but Giants can kiss my...
C&C just got stuck in a rutt.
Miss that game so much.
And they always say to us that the AI was improved :D I was harvesting carrot too, what the AI is doing on corners is very very wretched.
You need multiplay to do those jobs..
I wish Cattle and Crops didn't quit production on their game.
100% I offered to join as project manager, because I could see they had got themselves in a rutt.
Such a massive shame.
DJ go ham over there acting like it's the best thing he's ever seen. Corporate shill if I've ever seen one. Farmer Cop too.
When your boss says do this or I take away your wages and privileges. It has a powerful control over some...Personally, I'd punch my boss in the face.
I think everything is a massive improvement

Thanks for your review. You gave all the answers I've been wondering about with FS25. I'll stick with FS19 with mods (graphics are still mostly the same anyway, just running more poorly).
Unfortunately, I can only like this video once.
Amazing video! And you’re 100% correct!
Much appreciated! I liked your comment, so that should help a bit :-)
Spot on in every respect. Would be great if they could, I don't know, maybe continually improve the performance of the game while also adding in more "Farming Simulator" elements.
What a novel idea 💡 if only they would listen to you. 👍
As a new player of this franchise, which iteration of Farming Simulator would you suggest for a new player? I played a little bit of 15 and 22, but it's been a while now.
My advice is to wait. For either a sale, or see how much the modding community can do with 25.
22 has a great mod ecosystem, and it will take a year or two for 25 to catch up. 25 is longer lasting if 22 doesn't go for cheap.
Thanks for the comment.
I always thought really Old tractors and Trucks might have that indicator limitation only; perhaps not?
You're right at the end. Probably will end up buying it, but much like 22, I'll wait at least a year until there's been more updates, and good mods have been released for it.
I agree. Without mods, why leave 22?
@@SimUKReviews No reason to, and even then, how much will mods improve it when they've done so much for 22?
I can't really tell. How many times will modders want to rehash their same mods, just because the base game isn't good enough?
Cheers from Wisconsin
Nailed it my friend !!!
FS series been built by modding community, 100% agree with every point made in this video❤ , great work bud 🍻
Much appreciated
Ultimately, I think their engine is weak?
@@SimUKReviews it certainly isn’t an upgrade from the previous engine. In fact I’d argue the graphics almost look worse overall. I feel like they did something with the color pallet to make it look more cartoonish. That aside, making a leap from one engine to the next I shouldn’t have to squint and really think if the graphics have improved to me that’s not a leap. Overall while I’m sure there could be a better engine out there… why can modders make very good use of the same engine giants can’t?
That’s what makes me think the giants engine isn’t terrible but the ones using it are simply lazy.
I believe (don't quote me) they may have changed their engine to be multi threaded (should in time be better for performance - but clearly isn't yet).
Just wish someone would take some aspects of snow runner and or tell developers of snowrunner to make a farm sim. Maybe I like the idea of a underpowered tractor getting stuck in the mud while working a field
Seasons 8 and 14 of Snowrunner are exactly what you described lol.
@sherithnoorey1419 stopped paying attention to what they where doing after the first 2 or 3 seasons. I will have to check it out! Thanks
Can’t disagree with anything you said. I feel very ripped off having paid for pre order, never again.
Which TH-camr were you referring to?
Non in particular, I've previously called out individuals but seemingly made no difference.
I watched a few creators with early access, not a single critique from any one of them about the game.
Thank you for the review. I recently started playing FS22 and was wondering if I should get FS25, considering I’m still enjoying the previous version. I made progress and decided to try growing a different crop-beets. Imagine my surprise when I found out there’s no dedicated storage for beets in the game
If we could pick main let downs they would be:
-base maps.
Absolutely spot on review. Nice to see someone saying what is true and honest.
the criticisms are correct, but I'm still having tons of fun playing FS25. It's just amazing. game has been out for a week & I already have over 55hours in it. Ofc I've had tons of absolutely stupid bugs during those hours, and even contracts that are impossible to complete because the new "smarter" AI workers aren't really that smart. (avoid carrots)
Honest review! Thank you for that!
Always! Glad to be of service.
P.S. i will share this to the rest of the world he he :)
I hate a liar, I have no time or patience for them, one thing I admire is an honest person, you fella just changed my mind on buying this, even cheaper with one of those keys, I subscribed and liked your video, and thank you for saving me cash. Cheers fella
You are most welcome.
To me FS25 is just a bad update.
I mean, having some production outside is sort of cool but not main reason i play
Really noticed the lack of choice of vehicles etc.
Who else was watching the grandpa's lips moving in sync with Sim's words toward the end?
I was not planning on buying Farming Simulator 25. The reason why I purchased Farming Simulator 25 was the simple version of GPS it helped me to use in-game plows because before I could never use them. In Farming Simulator 22 I would rely on moder plows. I do see a few bugs in the game. I do agree with you the graphics are probably a little better but I don't see a major overhaul of the game
Give it a year when the key mods come out and the game will get better with time. I'm still playing on FS22 and I will pick up FS25 maybe next year
I agree 100% with all you have said, I've been playing fs since fs 13 and a few things have gotten somewhat better but I am getting tired of waiting for them to catch up with the rest of the gaming industry.
Good on ya for saying what we all wish we could. Bring on the Mods and just think, it could be worse. You could have brought MSFS24 also...
Most honest reviewer on youtube. Thank you 👍.
Well said, I bought two previous and never to buy another, good luck with the fund raiser
Thanks 👍
The game is awesome lol
I have found two things about FS25 I don't like so far: the farm yards are too small to build on, and I wouldn't say I like the deep tyre tracks vehicles leave on the fields. It looks like a mess! I'm looking forward to creating better maps. Maps with flat farm yards with lots of room to build a large farm. One more thing. I hate that Guided Tour!
Do you make maps?
@@SimUKReviews No, sorry. I don't know how.
Ahh no worries, was going to ask for some help with mine :-)
@@SimUKReviews Good luck with your work on your map.
Very well said mate was going to buy this but will get farm sim 22
So not only did they put lipstick on this pig, they also bought it a new dress....I am done throwing money after Giants. The base maps they've released with the various iterations of the game the last 10 years at least have been pure and unadulterated garbage, with more emphasis on dolling up the place, than actually making a map you can farm on. Relying on modders to make the game enjoyable (and in many cases PLAYABLE) is nuts. Without mod support they wouldn't have made it past FS13. Thanks for the video, and take care.
Nov. 20, 2024 Thank you for being what everyone else is not.....BRUTALLY HONEST. Finally, someone I can agree with. Take care.
Thank you for your honesty
This is the first title from the series since 17 I am NOT buying at least at release
harsh as it is but it is true, farming simulation desperately need competition in game development to begin develop better product
All the modders should get together and build “Agriculture Simulator 28” so when Giants releases the next polished turd, we’ll be ready with a REAL simulator.
That would be excellent. Kick-start.
Hope they don't cause seizures....?
THANK YOU SO MUCH !!! FINALLY, SOMEONE SAID IT !!!!
You are NOT alone :-)
Thank you for your honesty
🙏
Finally!!!! Somebody who is saying this loud. ❤
It's like reinventing the wheel by making it square and then leaving modders to remove the corners. I don't know who is worse, Giants or those that try to sell the idea of the square wheel as being an improvement.
From what ive seem not enough changes to warrant buying for that price, will be sticking with fs22 and mods
I stopped playing it for a while due to constant crashing on ps5, not sure of the tornado schedule but I went 1.5 years and not a single tornado. Hopefully they give it a big update soon
Certainly needs patching.
i mean , the interface of fs 25 is straight up coming from a mobile game , I was not watching too much FS 25 news and early reviews not to spoil too much , but when I launched fs 25 for the first time I was worried I have downloaded the wrong game :D the interface is so unintuitive , and it screams that I was designed with mobile phones in mind.
It feels like a mobile game because almost every interaction in the game has a blocking popup
Where are the birds? they are in the release video!
FS22:
6 million copies sold, plus millions of season passes / DLC
3 years of dev time
100% Self-published
Received manufacturer funding for various parts of the game
FS25:
????
I've got say I'm loving this game, i don't really care about the odd imperfection. Its a lot of fun and one the best simulator games I've ever played. I can't say how it compares to FS22 as i only played FS19. The graphics when it comes to the vehicles and machinery i think is excellent. There's definitely lots of positives about this game.
Exactly this. I've had some absolutely stupid & broken bugs but I just can't stop playing this game.
@@rafbuelens4908 Well Giants thanks you guys and will continue to take your money for the same game they do every 3/4 years.
I love this game. Giants done a solid job with 25.
And as far has crop types go they have started adding new crop types but where are the rest of the crop types that as the potential to have made it in this game yet giants still ignore the fact of adding to the game aswell as adding fruits aswell I'm still waiting for onions leeks cauliflower Brussels sprouts pumpkins runner beans cabbages the list could go on and a important point you mentioned about the animals is spot on and I'm still puzzled that aswell as including a pet dog as companion on your farm why have cats been excluded don't giants seem to understand that you can get farm cats but to have not included them makes this so unrealistic and interactions so boring and dull unless the modding community can make drastic changes that are needed this game will die a slow agnasing death the weather in ets 2 and ats is far superior than in farming simulator and something giants and the modding community can learn from I was really excited for farming simulator 25 as I thought they were going to put proper thunderstorms into the game and with the addition of tornados as well sounded great at the time but with no lighting that goes hand in hand with theses storms but just the sound effects makes the game totally unrealistic so in all your not far wrong with your summoning up with this game giants really need to up there game if they are to continuing producing a worthy game of this magnitude for people to keep playing for generations to come.😊
Honestly the only reason id imagine people buying this game isnt because of what giants had added, but instead what the modders will add
