I'm very envious of whoever manages to scoop this one up at such a steal. This is still something that is within grasp for many young americans who are willing to sacrifice the benefits of urban or suburban life. This type of property is the last breath of the American dream, I hope things like this are still around in Northern New England in 10 years when I plan to buy.

He was. Checking out the hummingbird feeder. They love anything sweet. Looking for a jelly filled donut like Yogi bear. Moose eating leave close to same spot. They wander by!

Yes you could. For a property septic, a concrete tank and leachfield, a soil site evaluator would design one. For building another home, setting a modular, just reach out to town of Hodgdon and not seeing any issue with 41.6 acres of land. Just make well and septic 100' apart. No neighbors on this one to worry about. Just Bambi, Mr Moose, Yogi black bear.

Outside all four seasons and love them all. Live on a lake in summer, hike Mt Katahdin, other trails in fall, ski local slopes and Sugarloaf, Sunday River or snowmobile winters. Hate to say it but that tired door at 9:22 is squeaky because he put that overbuilt Z brace in backwards. As in the Z should be backwards. The diagonal ought to go from the unsupported top corner to the hinged bottom corner like "\" instead of "/", making that door both designed to fail and built to last... Maybe he wanted a door that would last forever yet loudly alert him when it opened? Actually not the worst idea if so.

Did I hear 4000 watts of solar PV? I don't think that's accurate with only 6 panels on the roof. Perhaps there's more somewhere else we didn't see. 2K would seem more likely. The building is fantastic and overall a great deal to my eyes. What is the status of the road/trails for access. Any risk of being cut off/landlocked?
Batteries, capacities... total load power wise and there are gas lights, gas for cooking, gas for on demand heating your shower and dish washing water. Road is right of way in ... no problem with access, no gates, fences, problems with access. 1.1 miles in like video says. 😀
