With the system off, look on the board for a bank of 4 dip switches. Turn the fourth one "on". Turn on the system and it will be in operator mode. From there the first fire button can toggle menu options, the second fire buttons moves you to the next menu and the third fire button moves you to the previous menu. After making ANY changes, push the 1-player-start to save the option to the card or you will lose any changes you made.
Thanks for the rundown of the games. I just picked up a 60n1 from a place that was closing down. Cabinet is in pretty good shape. I appreciate the run down on each of the games and their sounds. Also, especially, explaining why we had duplicate games of like PacMan and others. But on ours, the Ms. PacMan, for example on the first page is actually the sped up version...whereas the one on the last page appears to be more normal even though it has a ‘2’ on the title. Odd. But now I know why there are two. Thanks!
Nice review of the games Marcus, I found your likes and dislikes similar to mine. One thing for sure I will enjoy the Arcade machine alot more now I have this instead of the PC hooked up. Less games but the ones I mostly enjoy are on the board. $85AUD which is pretty good. I bought a power supply but discovered the power supply for the original Jamma boards powers it up so that was $11.50AUD I could have not spent. Now I wouldn't mind a landscape monitor setup for the Williams game board.
Thank you for the thorough review. I agree with everything you said given that I just picked one of these up for my birthday. For anyone else here, the Dig Dug sound is a little off - most notably on when you pick up the bonus vegetables. Not the worst issue but a little annoying given that Dig Dug sounds are so nostalgic. Also a question. My regular PAC Man is set to play in fast mode at default. Is anyone else seeing this and is it able to be tweaked to play normal? Thanks!
Great video. I'm thinking about installing a 60 in 1 next week. Not crazy about the menu on the 60 in 1 and how it jumps right into the gameplay and doesn't really show the home screen of each game. Game selection is meh too. But way too explain each game. Very helpful. Maybe I'll go with the 412 in 1 for a few dollars more
As for the sound problems, the biggest issue with this board is MASSIVE distortion as the volume of the emulated sound chips is set WAY too high. Also, I don't know if this affects all 60-in-1s, but a lot of those I've seen are missing an audio channel through the JAMMA connector. Gyruss is the only game on this board with Stereo sound and when I playtested a 60-in-1 in a pre-made cabinet at a local arcade shop, several sounds were completely missing. The 3.5mm jack has Stereo sound, though.
Back in the day I remember when Pinball Action during gameplay crashed and reset my 39-in-1 twice (and before that, it crashed in another location). I'm hoping they patched it or did something so it's not an issue in this newer board.
Great review. Love Shaolins Road too! For me as it happens, most of the games that suffer with emulation sound issues are ones that I don't play as much anyway, even if there was not an issue - the exceptions to this are possibly Gyruss, Timepilot, Scramble (shame). You would think by now that they would rectify this issue, seeing as everyone is saying the same thing.
The horizontal adjustment is a coil and you will need allen wrench to adjust it. Do it with the monitor off since that coil will get HOT and melt/burn you or your tool.
The roll problem with your cabinet is your monitor. My 60-in-1(a supposed C board which is smaller than other 60-in-1s, yet works as well as an A board from what I can see on my board) doesn't have this problem(on the VGA output, at least. I need to test it on my Commodore 1084S using the RGB/Sync out of the JAMMA connector to see if the roll problem affects the RGB/Sync output).
Mine works fine. And save fine. Make sure you have it set up for saves. My only draw back is the menu system. could look a lot better. But like the board itself. Mr. Do's castle is awesome. Wouldn't have known anything about this game if not for this board. Worth the $54 I paid. I own an original ms. Pacman so that gets the attention for pacman games. But galaga is perfect, all donkey Kong's are as well. Like to see a better attract mode. Or constant attract mode option.
Cool video. I have a really stupid question if i use a pc power supply apart from the joystick and buttons do i need to connect any other of the ground wires from the harness anywhere
I'm putting together a 60 in 1 board with a correct sized vertical monitor and a 2 inch trackball. I hope it works well .... If not I will probably jut end up buying a real centipede board and wire a switch of some sort.
The difference between the A and the B board is not how it plays, but how long it lasts. The B board is known to fail quickly because it is made with inferior parts. That is why the B board cab be bought for $35 where the A board is $100.
On mine, it's jumper (switch) 4. Or you can hold the test/service button down while you power up. Unfortunately, I don't (yet) have a test/service switch.
Not a fan of the dig dug 2 and I personally don't play the 60 in 1 dig dug. But Mame has a version that has two players at the same time support and really brings that game to life. One of my 6 year old and my favorite on my PC. We have beat it straight through together many times. It might be under the namco collection 1 or 2. I would suggest if you have this board definitely giving Mr. Do's castle a try.I own hydrothunder,mk3,area 51,Raiden,ms.pacman, and play Mr. Do's just as much.
I’ve actually seen a few systems that replaced some of the lesser know ones (like Van-Van Car, Hustler, Tank Battalion & Space Panic) were replaced by Kangaroo & Kickman. 😎😎😎😎
Quick add: would have loved ❤️ to see them include Q*Bert, Elevator Action & Zookeeper as they were all classic vertical games & would have been more familiar than some of those lesser known ones that I mentioned earlier. I mean how are you going to leave our Q*Bert for something like Juno-First?!?!?
I just instaled this in my cab but for some reason the controlls wont work for some reason and i dont know why do you have any ideas why that might be?
The walking sound in DK and DK Jr on this board sounds like a single sample, repeating over and over. On an original machine, this sound varies on each step. Not to open up a can of worms, but these sounds on the latest version of MAME are not 100% accurate either.
We have a defender with 16-1 game. Try to install the 60-1 jamma, but the monitor then alway turn horizontal. What's wrong? I have tried to turn SW3 switch 2 on and off, but it just turns it 180 degress.
Hi I'm getting ready to order the 60 in 1 card with power supply joystick and buttons what joystick should I get the 2 4 or 8 position joystick I'm going to get the one with the ball but what size short medium or long do you think I should get it's just going to be just a regular game like yours and a cabinet thank you
Is there a fix to the roll you had mentioned on the left of the screen? Mine was fine one minute then i had noticed the screen had shifted to the left.
I don't think so, but I think you can set this to one game (turn all others off) and it'll not have the selection switch mode. Can anyone reading this verify?
Yep! None of the wiring was changed when I put this board into the machine. It was later resorted to a collector in Indiana with the original Dragon Spirit PCB.
I'm considering one of these boards. The thing that annoyed me immediately in your video is how the thing goes back to menu automatically after losing your game. If you put multiple credits in the game before starting does it still do that? Is there a dip switch to stop it doing that? Because that is a deal breaker for me. Also Is there a way to quit to menu quickly without losing an entire game? Like in Mame you just hit Escape.
Can anyone tell me for complete play what controls are needed i know it needs a joystick trackball and at least one button but i believe that i might be missing something passable more buttons or an extra joystick i don't know please help thanks
hi there bcgameguide just wondering about if they are compatible with all types of vga monitors? I was thinking about getting the LG 24M45VQ-B 24" LED Monitor for my 60 in 1. If you or anyone else has any recommendations please do reply.
donkey kong has an issue where when jumping barrels sometimes they dont score. can someone tell me if this happens on an original donkey kong machine? also mario can not change directions mid air in a jump, does this happen on the original? thanks
Personally, I can't stand playing 1943 on the 60-in-1. It's just REALLY badly distorted. Another thing I've noticed is every game sounds like the audio out of the emulated sound chips(from what I can tell, this board uses a mixture of software-emulation and reverse-engineered hardware replicated in an FPGA) is pretty badly downsampled. Any game using the Yamaha YM2203 sound chip makes this downsampling VERY noticeable(1943, Gun.Smoke and 1943 Kai all use this chip).
bought it to play Galaxian, missing the iconic missile sound FAIL,, tried Centipede plyr 2 score is backwards when you kill the spider FAIL, the only bigger FAIL than this board is the "Collectors that cannibalize dedicated cabinets and fill them with this crap to sell to fools with too much money that think they are getting an arcade experience", I suspect like this board alot of this 60 in 1 crap converted cabs will end up at the dump. FAIL FAIL FAIL
Can someone help me? I purchased a 60-1 Blee and i seem to have wired it correctly as the lights flash solid green after power up and blinking green on the second light but the games never seem to start up. It always boots to service screen and I have verified that the dip switch #4 is off and not in service mode. I have two of these boards and it seems to be doing it with both boards. I also have multiple harnesses. One player and two player harnesses. Please Help, thanks!!!

1942 has become my favourite arcade game.

That is weird. On my game, the original PAC Man is super fast AND the fast mode is fast.

I play 1942 most of the time.
I can't figure out how to adjust the monitor size ..the game screens show up to low on my vertical monitor..
I think I'm having the same issue. The bottom is cut off and my newer cheap lcd monitor doesn't have any options to adjust screen position.
Enjoyed the video...thanks!
I’ve actually seen a few systems that replaced some of the lesser know ones (like Van-Van Car, Hustler, Tank Battalion & Space Panic) were replaced by Kangaroo & Kickman. 😎😎😎😎

game was mean't to play on a 20" Not sure if it can be resized.
Thankyou for doing this video.
It WAS my monitor, not all users experienced the same thing.
Where is tron?

This board is using old MAME code.hence why some of the games have emulation problems.

pretty sure its your monitor that makes centipede off the screen
Yep! Monitor roll was causing this problem.
Swapped my game board for icade 60in 1 but original CRT monitor just gets lots of coloured dots on it, any ideas how to fix?
Hi ! I have one of those too but I'm using the vga , I tried using the crt but I could figure out , how did you wire yours?
My question is if you only have say 3 games turned on does it put them all on one page?
Hi I'm getting ready to order the 60 in 1 card with power supply joystick and buttons what joystick should I get the 2 4 or 8 position joystick I'm going to get the one with the ball but what size short medium or long do you think I should get it's just going to be just a regular game like yours and a cabinet thank you
Is there a fix to the roll you had mentioned on the left of the screen? Mine was fine one minute then i had noticed the screen had shifted to the left.
Do these games have all of the levels?
I've heard that they don't.
I am looking at building a 60 in 1 soon, going to use a 24" LCD VGA monitor. Do I need to find a 4:3 monitor, or will it work alright with a 16:9?
Can you avoid the home screen by adding more credits?
I don't think so, but I think you can set this to one game (turn all others off) and it'll not have the selection switch mode. Can anyone reading this verify?
Any idea why my centipede fires by itself..???
I hope you put the Dragon Spirit PCB back in this awesome collector cabinet instead of this emulation crap.
Yep! None of the wiring was changed when I put this board into the machine. It was later resorted to a collector in Indiana with the original Dragon Spirit PCB.
How did you disable the menu music? Also how do disable games you don't want to play?
Mine comes on like that but screen is green why is that
I own an original and yes, it does happen occasionally.
Just got into 60 in1 board... how do i set it to free play?
Love Dig Dug 2 and Super Pac Man
I see this board has an FPGA chip on it. Are these games really all running in FPGA or are they being Software Emulated?
Did you get the monitor roll problem solved? Having the same issue .
No. Some of these 60in1s don't play as well with CRT monitors. LCDs work perfectly, but the CRT is so much nicer!
I'm considering one of these boards. The thing that annoyed me immediately in your video is how the thing goes back to menu automatically after losing your game. Also Is there a way to quit to menu quickly without losing an entire game? Like in Mame you just hit Escape.
doesn't appear to be any way to prevent this. On 1943 games, you have an option to continue or throw more coins in or use existing credits.
Cool review keep up the good work :-)
Can anyone tell me for complete play what controls are needed i know it needs a joystick trackball and at least one button but i believe that i might be missing something passable more buttons or an extra joystick i don't know please help thanks

hi, is it possibile to update rom games? like to change donkey kong with crazy kong?
Nope. No way to upgrade...
What size monitor should I get? I'm not a purist, I just want a cheap LCD monitor that fits.
20” corner to corner is what I have.
donkey kong has an issue where when jumping barrels sometimes they dont score. can someone tell me if this happens on an original donkey kong machine? also mario can not change directions mid air in a jump, does this happen on the original? thanks
yes it happens on the original arcade as well
Wait.....no Q*bert?
Agree Q*Bert would have been nice, but I guess we need a reason to go back to the arcade right?
Can u show us how to install it to the arcade 1up
Which cabinet are you trying to do it in?
dose it take pc power supply?
thankyou
Does this not have Mario ?
+Adam Nelson
No, Mario Bros was a horizontal game.
Donkey kong
Personally, I can't stand playing 1943 on the 60-in-1. It's just REALLY badly distorted.

MY TH-cam GOT JUNYA-CORRUPTED!!
Antstream Arcade For Switch
Do Not Call GUNSMOKE Obnoxious!!
He means the sound.
You ruined a dragon spirit for this? Are you crazy?
Um
Galaxian has terrible sound.
Agree. Galaxian is not good on this board.
get someone els to film while you talk/explain
Why would anybody buy this when the sounds suck?
Sounds like this thing isn't worth it.
The boards blow. Totally not legit. Not the actual games. Stop doing this to old games.
They are the real arcade roms, seems to be running them under an old version of MAME. For 2004 standards, it's alright. There's better though.
bought it to play Galaxian, missing the iconic missile sound FAIL,, tried Centipede plyr 2 score is backwards when you kill the spider FAIL, the only bigger FAIL than this board is the "Collectors that cannibalize dedicated cabinets and fill them with this crap to sell to fools with too much money that think they are getting an arcade experience",

FAIL FAIL FAIL
i know it's 2 years later but it's still true even worse now that a 60 in 1 costs only $50 (and same isues)
Stop talking shit who ever you are.
