Our players are NOT stars. Vlad and Bo are just above avg guys, the media propaganda made them into super stars to drum up more views for $$$ from the gullible. They are who they are.
I had to laugh as this guy Mike Wilner was talking about how balls are not flying out like they used to in the stadium up there in Toronto after the renovation. O's just hit 4 homers, including two by Austin Hays who had NO homer this season before tonight. They were both no-doubters.
Wilner is the dumbest sports reporter in the U.S/Canada. How does he even have a job? Knows nothing but, acts like a know-it-all expert. "I'm not sure what it is, maybe the wind?" Then O's hit 4 hrs. Ya Mike, it's the wind.
Today’s blue jays fans have forgotten the trades that made the blue jays WS champions. Fernandez and Magriff for Alomar and Carter. Although These 4 players played the same positions the comparison ends there. Fernandez was a better hitter and way, WAY better shortstop than Bichete and Magriff a much better power hitter than Guerrero. This same type trade could go down again although the return would not get many more wins let alone a WS. That being said it could possibly turn the Jays around and put them on a better path to a WS. Really , what have the jays got to lose by trying , besides losing games that should be won
Bo will be fine, Vlad is already fine just gotta find ways to get the ball out more but Springer I agree but since they moved him down he’s starting to hit more at least it’s a start with him
I hope they sign Bo Bichette and Vladdy long-term contracts with Toronto Blue Jay's

Seeing Baltimore crush the Jays we see how far the Jays have dropped off. Aikens knew over the winter we needed hitting Turner not good enough. Whether players did not want to come here no one knows. Aikens needs to be fired.
I see you are joining the legion of podcasters and youtubers that speculate, and guess on moves the Jays might or might not make. I am tired of it! Stuff the darn betting site ads!!
Nothing confusing at all if you know Atkins & Jays history lol. Was NEVER getting Ohtani & it isn't as much about paying anymore as it is Atkins incompetence & arrogance not accepting the OBVIOUS FOR YEARS FACT his approach is a total failure so not addressing obvious needs 😉
Mike Wilner is the most embarrassing thing I see affiliated with the Jays every time I try and just catch up on updates. Sucks up any single place he can, snaps back at any constructive comments that talks against the Jays. There definitely are some cringy fans out there that aren't worth replying to, but I see plenty of people just show a very sensible list of failures under Atkins' tenure, and they get treated by Mike like they're idiots. I still refuse to believe Wilner is this plain dumb about what's wrong, so I'm gonna lean that he's another blissfully blind one under the Rogers payroll. He talks about the "humidor at the Rogers Centre" keeping them from hitting bombs? So that's why they don't homer much away from home too? And that's why visiting teams crank 3 or 4 homers per game against them in the same stadium? I'll say this, I've watched this team for a while now under the Atkins era. He's made a few great signings like Springer, Gausman, Bassitt, Berrios, but has also botched heavy pickups like Mitch White, not extended any core players, let offense support like Belt stay gone for nothing, traded Teo, Lourdes and Moreno for what is turning out to be a very on par to sub par return, and he takes an awful offensive season in 2023 and takes a weaker team into 2024 without addressing what was sorely needed, real power bats. Worst off though, the thing that very few talk about, is his management of the core staffing he puts in. People love to blame Guillermo Martinez, but he's been there in the years they absolutely terrorized the league in power. Instead, you should look at Dave Hudgens and Don Mattingly, an ex-cheater from the infamous Astros team who only coached via cheating, and a guy who shows no emotion and takes interviews saying the Jays aren't power hitters so they should just give up on that approach altogether. THAT is who was and still is handling the offensive strategy for this team. Schneider is also not a great manager, but firing him solves nothing, he's just mediocre and a yes man, and he'll be replaced with another similar guy who has no real major league experience if gone. Atkins has been here long enough. He's lead a near-decade legacy of 0 playoff wins, around 5 good signings at best (mostly all pitching), several mediocre trades, several ultimately bad pickups, horrible staffing decisions, 0 core player extensions, and has absolutely tanked the farm system into one of the worst rated in the league. All on a budget that other teams would absolutely beg to have, in the top 5-10 every year in payroll. That is an atrocious decade of chances that Rogers, the city of Toronto, and the Blue Jays players have given him. He's failed, and suck-ups like Mike continue to grip onto his tailcoats hoping he produces results and proves their loyalty to be true. Just admit it's time for a big change. Say "I was wrong, I tried to be positive, it didn't work. We have to change." The biggest thing Wilner is wrong about in finding a GM offseason versus during, is that Atkins now has a potentially final pool of talent that walks this year or next, and in his last possible hurrah, could possibly make even more bad trades in a selloff and really ruin this team's future. They likely won't win at all this year, but getting a competent GM into the seat before the deadline could help move assets for actually smart returns that will invest in the club's future. They can start to rebuild and work towards what the Orioles have now. Right now, it almost sounds like Ross is ready to give one last buying heave at the deadline beating this dead horse, and I'm scared he'll deal any talent left in the pool like Ricky, Orelvis and Horwitz to get back a minimal return and lose. We're absolutely screwed then for the next 7-10 years.
@@kidpoker9408 Exactly, there’s no way they’re purposely sandbagging down to 20 mil. Bo putting up a 500 ops season is gonna get him Nick Castellanos money 💀
Springer in getting old, this year is worse than last year and Springer was basically an average hitter but can still play defense and steal bases so it is weird that his bat swing has slowed a lot.
How the hell can you get Turner going when he sits every other day? They use him like a platoon player. The other day a lefty comes in and they immediately bring JT in off the bench. These are one of the many dumb decisions of this organization right now. The guys numbers tailed off when he got sick and he sat for like 4 games and now they use him sporadically. It’s fucking ridiculous
Click click BOOM. As in James Click. Definetly not the Asian chick; we'd never hear the end of Jays media congratulating themselves for being uber progressive.
It's not entirely Atkins fault as there's a lot of blame to go around but the future for the jays is bleak. The hitting sucks, the farm is bottom tier and the team is old and on expiring contracts. Its time to fire Atkins and start the rebuild. Jays cant even hold a candle to teams like the Orioles and I dont want Atkins doing anymore trades.

How many people are watching this with a "blocked by Wilner" shirt? 😂
"I only reply on Blue Sky!!"
lol guilty as charged
I'm wearing my 'never believe a word this front office & ownership apologist says'
Me
From toronto, can't stand wilner
Fire Mark Shapiro, he has done nothing for the team.
Shapiro unlikely to happen as he doesn't do roster construction. The ballpark renos have been a success.
other teams have no problem hitting home runs at the rogers center our guys are just not the great players they make them out to be
Our players are NOT stars. Vlad and Bo are just above avg guys, the media propaganda made them into super stars to drum up more views for $$$ from the gullible. They are who they are.
Fire Atkins and Shapiro
Atkins totally. Shapiro probably not going to happen
Fire atkins and shapiro

Yup - my thoughts exactly! Blue Jays I was counting on to beat the Orioles today. No dice. Not even close. I looked at the batting stats
Exactly man other teams are hitting the ball out at the dome
@@robs6372They actually aren't lol
And Vladdy hit one BUT before reno's it would have been double for both teams 😉
@@etamommyWhy on earth would you think there was going to be anything other than an O's sweep ffs.... & I'm a Jays fan lol
Bichette can't throw a ball 100+ feet in the air. Guerrero is constantly having to dig it out of the dirt.

Vladdy will be okay I think. What is going on with Springer and Bichette? I looked at their averages and they are terrible for them anyway.

Wilner is the worst baseball "anaylyst" out there. Guy doesn't have a single clue
I'm still confused about not getting Ohtani and then not adding a a lot after that. Quite a few big market teams chilling these days

We need Canadian content again
It's Mattingly, Schneider and Shatkins vision has failed 2 years in a row.
I agree they need to get rid of Mattingly
Who replaces Shapiro & Atkins.
Laurel and Hardy.
Blue Jays miss Teoscar Hernandez. He’s a great mentor for Andy Pages and Miguel Vargas.
Hated
Give up everybody for a big name to join vlad and bo and retool
The stadium renovations are done now renovate the team.
Have been absolutely enjoying FT.
However, now long ads throughout... goodbye
Had the blue Jays front office tried to improve the team in the offseason this wouldn't have to be a discussion
Orioles haven't had any trouble hitting the ball out of that park the last couple of games lol
Why would the guys wanna try their hardest for a team that sounds likebthey dont want to keep them there
Because putting up a season this bad will significantly hurt their next contract. The players aren’t trying to be this bad, it wouldn’t make sense.
Nah bo and vlad will make 20 mill per minimum
