Me too. That's why we need to look at it like we have a job we have to keep! already set for us .draw way back and look at how automatic it is when you must be at work. You dont have TIME TO THINK. you just get up and go! So no matter how long it takes to find the sweet spots for YOU in morning routine, to develope a schedual, it's an investment in a new LIFE. and no matter how long it takes for these steps to become a habit, they may change but you are launched. Up and OUT. I have lifelong avoidance of the good I know i should do, but i pray and ask for grace. This channel is so hopeful and practical. Think about how YOU are wired! Start connecting with those pathways. Doesnt have to be exactly like his.

I tried this today in the morning and I feel like it is really helping me out so far. I think what helped me the most was right when I woke up to immediately make the mindset shift before getting out of bed. It's so easy to be a victim within 5 minutes of waking up by checking your symptoms and running through what ifs about the day, I found that taking on the warrior mindset before even getting out of bed was a great boost to the day. The most challenging part for me is being good at the visualizations. I've never really been much of an imaginer so I will need to work on that.

Thankful I have found your channel!! Your videos have been super helpful & I’m writing down ✍️ your tips. What’s been helping me is positive, relaxing music, meditation 🧘🏻‍♀️ (listening to your positive affirmations), [also spraying scents such as lavender, & other scents I have for meditation], yoga/ stretching, journaling, reading, coloring a Color Me Calm Book, & talking with others. Sometimes it helps relieve what you are holding in. Walking & running helps too just to get moving & feel like your doing something healthy for your body. Also taking advantage of when you feel well enough/ have a better appetite go eat & just being less easier with myself. :) The key is positivity. I have relapsed, but know I have to keep going. It’s all just in your mind

Its currently winter and the lack of sun creates anxiety for me.
When I wake I drink 4 cups of water, I bought a Verilux light and I watch your videos for 20 min while the light is on. Then I take a B complex and D3 vitamin (with my breakfast). I have seen a big difference with me. This routine has helped me so much. Winter still sucks, but I am coping much better, I actually smile and laugh a lot more at work now.

Probably not ideal that I have sat in bed doing this... this morning. Ahh the irony?
But for people who want a list of the components and 5 habits.
I made a list... and thought it might help to share?
Necessary Components Of The Morning Routine
    A. Mental/Emotional Component
    B. Physical Component
    C. Energetic Component
    Habit/Step 1.Mindset Shift:
Thinking in a way that is going to help my progress throughout the day - help me to gain the most out of that day.
Start your day thinking in a way that will promote more progress & move you in the right direction.
    Question 1.
How am I going to prove my old self wrong?
Today’s the day I prove my old self wrong
If you get some doubt showing up in your mind... today is the day you show it wrong.
    Set Tone in morning.
Prepare to deal with it when it shows up!
    Question 2.
What am I excited about today?

    a.) Personally

    b.) Professionally/Job Hunt
Habit/Step 2. Water Up - Give back to the body:
Drink ¾ to 1 Litre of Water every single morning before you take on your day.
Habit/Step 3. Implement Mindfulness Cycling Meditation:
    Find Zen area.
Cycle through 8-12 images that are in line with what I want to create in my life.
8-12 images every single morning cycle forward and then backward.
Image 1 Knee Better - Image of me running well on knee
    Image
Image 2 Vitality - Images of me being strong, funny and charismatic
    Image
Image 3 Career - Images of me working and being successful
    Image
4 Relationship - Images of me laughing with X
Image 5 Wedding - Image of X coming down the aisle with Father... family and friends in attendance
    Habit/Step 4. Energising Stretching 5-7 minutes:
Stretch, downward dog... whatever feels good. Not prescriptive.
    Habit/Step 5. Engage In 5 Senses:
Engage and be present with all 5 senses.
Shower hot-cold - feel water dripping off of the body
    .
Breakfast - really taste and smell the food

I don't know why I say this in the comments section. But first, thanks for tips you share with us.
First, I start with my fear of COVID-19. Saturday I was at work (week starts on Saturdays in my region) and I still am fearful. Although I got another type of Coronavirus about a year ago and due to researches, I'm more immune to this new virus. I have some sort of dizziness and headache, I know it's because I work a lot with computers but you were here. You know how bad health anxiety can get. Anyway. There were 4 deaths in my mother's family in past 2 months and it scared the hell out of me. I'm really fearful of dying before my time. I'm only 25 years old and there are two reasons why I'm this scared. One of those 4 deaths were 21 years old, and I lost one of my cousins 9 years ago and he was 25 years old when he passed away.
So, I don't know what can I do. I really want to be part of a therapy program, but I couldn't find the right therapist. But your content really helped me. I'm thankful to you.

I just started my own routine 2 days ago.
I've made a poster with my morning ritual on it.
It's on the back of my front door..which is the best place for me.
I do cold water therapy first off in the bathroom sink. It's very good for me, my counsellor recommended this.
Then I put on Justin Timberlake live performance of Jacksons Lets dance let's shout.
    It goes for 4mins 30.
I free dance also do bits from his performance and just have fun.
Whatever song makes you want to move.
Then I do mindfulness breathing along with whatever it I want to manifest in my life at the moment I picture it in my head and also part of time I use the breathing mantra
    Breathe in say WISE
    Breathe Out say MIND
Relaxing all body parts at same time.
I ground myself by removing my shoes too.
I like doing things outside on the grass. Grounding is really good for you.
Thank you. Im also going to try incorporating water and engage in 5 senses. :)

Your specific examples of visualization (like running on the beach), are helpful because it is difficult to come up with my own images at first.

So happy I found you. I have morning anxiety. Need your help. I’m 61 and have been dealing with anxiety and depression most of my life
With skills I’ve picked up to cope and medication. I would like to know how to start relieving the anxiety in the morning. Have you ever felt fear of the symptoms? Thanks so much

    • @TheAnxietyGuy1

Joanne Dionne Thanks Joanne and welcome to the channel. There are many different ways to begin the process of relieving morning anxiety but we must understand that it’s not just doing the exercise it’s understanding what you’re doing, why and how. I’d suggest a cbt based program such as this one to move you towards deeper clarity and holding you accountable for the new habits: anxietyexit.com/my-program/ ❤️ much love.

Meditate or even introduce the whole family to meditation, it will improve sleep quality and quality of life by a ton, should reduce stress and help you navigate through the tough morning. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Also, let go of labels! Don’t feel the need to label tasks or you will actually end up making them harder than they actually are

Deano Buzz you need to make time FOR YOURSELF. Maybe go to bed and get up 30 minutes earlier so you can mediate before you get your kids out of bed.

Hi Dennis, first of all thank you for the information you provide. In your video you mention drinking plenty of water and you mention eating a good meal and enjoying that meal. My anxiety is so bad in the morning-afternoon that i cannot eat and can barely drink until late night. Do you have any suggestions?

    • @TheAnxietyGuy1

Isaac Zavala What is the leading concerns causing the anxiety in the first place, and what experiences brought it to this level should be the first questions to answer.
