It's a very small shop but I've been coming here for over a decade and they treat me and my kids like family. I have to say though, if you did come, I've already bought most of the good stuff ;)
+Vinnk I've played つっぱり大相撲 立身出世 for SFC and it felt more like an enhanced remake than an actual sequel. But still it was fun to play. Most of my matches didn't last more than 30 seconds, just like in real sumo.
hey Vinnk, specking of square-button Famicom's I own one in it's original box and it is in excellent condition. (just a few scratches on the RF switch sign) My box even came with Famicom & Disc System posters.
Wait, Famicom Dojo is also a store? It's really cool that the owner is an elderly woman, just goes to show you're never too old to learn new skills! Also, I've just realized that I can read the kanji for "dojo"! It's "道" meaning "road/way of" and "場" meaning "place". A place where you do "way of" things, makes sense!
+Vinnk no way! Thanks! I fell in love with the famicom because of famicom dojo! The next episode of my show is pretty much all about the famicom! If you have time you could check out my terrible show :P
I bought the game for 5 bucks and it is really funny, especially with two players. thank you, without your video I would never heard about this game :) so why pile of shame ?
@1:58 I'm learning Japanese. I'm using an app called duolingo. I was trying to figure out what you were saying here. At first I thought you were saying" kore gai shimasu. I used google translate to confirm what I thought you were saying. After a bit of time I figured out you were saying: kore kai shimasu (これ買いします).
It's not in the lists of Kunio-Kun games I have seen but I agree the art style is very similar. This game is made by Tecmo and not Technos (Kunio Series) but the influence is unmistakable.
+Larry Bundy Jr They aren't actually. But it's confusing since their names are so alike. Technos closed in 1996 and a company called Million bought their IP (Arc System Works licensed a Kunio update). Tecmo on the other hand is now Tecmo Koei (or is it the other way around? Koei Tecmo?) and they have no stake in the Kunio series.
If you don't mind me asking, how much did the boxed Famicom set you back? Id like to know the comparison compared to the ebay price over here... Love this channel keep up the good work :)
Hey Vink how long is this game? I've been at it for 5 hrs lol. Also any idea when Pretty Sammy for Sega Saturn will make it state side. I ordered it around Easter time :)
Not sure how long the game is. I haven’t beat it yet. As for your order it’s hard to say. Early March orders have just started arriving at their destinations. I’m guessing your game is in the states right now but held up in processing. I’m sorry that you have to wait so long.
At this time, with the newborn, probably impossible. But down the line, I would love to do something like that. Though I do worry I would run out of things to say.
Actually I think it was "kyosukette" (a warning to "be careful") but I'm not sure the context. She was in the other room coloring with Nibu-San and eating cookies. I am not sure what would lead to the warning except for maybe for the calories.
I actually bought this game just to use the shell for something, turns out the shell is totally useless because the inside is different from Nintendo's shells game. At least it's a fun little game that I got for really cheap.
Yeah, I had seen it on shelves for years without giving it much notice but I am really enjoying it now. I wonder how many other great games I have been ignoring...
BTW, Vinnk, have you actually been to one of the honbasho (I think the one closest to you would be the Kyushu Basho in Fukuoka, which is held every November)?
I went to the Nagoya Basho waaaay back in 2003. I really want to go the the Fukuoka/Hakata Basho but I haven't yet. Maybe next year. Sumo is super fun to watch.
Nagoya 2003? That was when Asashoryu was disqualified for pulling on fellow Mongolian Kyokushuzan's topknot, becoming the first yokozuna to be DQ'd in a bout.
I love Famicom Dojo footage, it looks so cozy. One of the reasons I wanna go on a shopping spree in Japan someday. Preferably in Famicom Dojo.
It's a very small shop but I've been coming here for over a decade and they treat me and my kids like family. I have to say though, if you did come, I've already bought most of the good stuff ;)
You have some more time to catch all the rarities, I'm coming in 2025 or a bit later :P
DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND????!!!!! IT'S REEEEAAAALLLL!!!!!!!!
And I have one
Awesome video Vinnk! That ending too!
Yeah, that is part of a much longer clip. I thought it was cute.
That crocodile game is my childhood!

You really get a sense of true happiness from your kids, you're such ab awesome dad Vinnk ^-^
Great to see another video! I would sooooo love to visit there and pick up some FC and SFC games!
Well if there is anything you are looking for, send me a message, maybe I can help you.
I had a copy of this game back in my childhood days. Oh, sweet memories) Thanks a lot for this video!
Cool! Did you play any of the sequels? I'm thinking of picking up the PC engine and SFami installments.
+Vinnk I've played つっぱり大相撲 立身出世 for SFC and it felt more like an enhanced remake than an actual sequel. But still it was fun to play. Most of my matches didn't last more than 30 seconds, just like in real sumo.
I am going to try to pick that game up this weekend.
I love these games. I just recent discovered Terao No Dosukui Oozumou
Finally another gaijin who likes Tsuppari Oozumou
love your show! finally a new video! please make a new season! pleeeeaaase.....
Working on it right now. In the meantime there should be weekly smaller videos all this month.
Also thanks for liking the show!
you are welcome. the show is very funny and informative at the same time :)
cool, so I will watch the small videos till then.
Thanks. We will try to make them as entertaining as possible.

Yeah, we named the show after the store (with permission) because we liked the name so much.
That's really cool! Though I think the name works better as a web series than a store! You should do an episode about the store and it's history!
+fireaza I really should. It's been around for like 30+ years.
The owner is Hiro's mother, i read it in the video.
this mascot of game tecmo
Tsuppari Ōzumō Is For The Nintendo Family Computer.
Dang! That shops looks awesome! Wish I could look through it and grab some games :(
Well, just let mw know what you are looking for, maybe I can help you out. :)
+Vinnk no way! Thanks! I fell in love with the famicom because of famicom dojo! The next episode of my show is pretty much all about the famicom! If you have time you could check out my terrible show :P
+Derek S I though you were just being self-aggrandizing, but nope it's actually called "Stupid Show"! It's part of the schtick!
Subbed.
+Derek S I'll check it out tonight.
+That's Orange thanks!
Kevin Tamborino, You Have The Square-Buttoned Nintendo Family Computer?
I still have tsuppari oozumou, but my cartridge is red. Great game once you know the moves. Especially 2 players.
I bought the game for 5 bucks and it is really funny, especially with two players. thank you, without your video I would never heard about this game :)
so why pile of shame ?

You are welcome!
released on my birthday...............................
Happy birthday!
Do you know if its part of the Kunio-Kun series? It has that look/design to it.
It's not in the lists of Kunio-Kun games I have seen but I agree the art style is very similar. This game is made by Tecmo and not Technos (Kunio Series) but the influence is unmistakable.
Vinnk
Aren't Tecmo and Technos the same company?
+Larry Bundy Jr They aren't actually. But it's confusing since their names are so alike. I'll just say significantly less. But they gave me a big discount since I buy stuff from there almost every week.
Square button Famicom
You Gonna Take The Tsuppari Ōzumō Made By Tecmo And Tenka No Goikenban - Mito Koumon Made By SunSoft Home?
Hey Vink how long is this game? I've been at it for 5 hrs lol. Also any idea when Pretty Sammy for Sega Saturn will make it state side. I ordered it around Easter time :)

@@FamicomVinnk thanks for the reply! I'll keep an eye out for it. This game gets pretty hard lol.
I really want to fire my mini up now. Wish the controllers were bigger though.
3:41 I think the ref is a cameo by the Tecmo Rabbit, their mascot at the time?
It's very possible. I'll look into it more.
is an mascot about a character on tecmo
Wait, you have a store?
Thank you very much, You just gave me a blast from my past. Used to love playing this game when I was a kid! lol
Esta bonito el zumo.
would a daily vlog be out of the realm of reality?
At this time, with the newborn, probably impossible. But down the line, I would love to do something like that. Though I do worry I would run out of things to say.
I think the kids could help with the nothing to say. Congrats on the newborn!
Thanks a lot! Yeah, in a few years they could probably host it themselves.
I love this game on Famicom mini!!
Is this a licensed game? The characters seem oddly familiar.
As fare as I know it;s not connected to another IP. But it does looks a lot like the Kunio-Kun games (River City, Super Dodgeball, etc)
Was she saying 'tasukete'?
Actually I think it was "kyosukette" (a warning to "be careful") but I'm not sure the context. She was in the other room coloring with Nibu-San and eating cookies. I am not sure what would lead to the warning except for maybe for the calories.
Vinnk
Ah. Cookies are always something you need to be careful with.
Wait, the store is called Famicom Dojo as well?
EDIT: You have 3 kids now?
Our show is named after this store. And yeah I am up to 3 kids as of last month.
Congrats on the 3rd bundle. Are you going for the full Koopa Kid set or is 3 the limit?
+theimporter Ha ha ha. We'll see. I'm pretty happy with my triforce right now.
Best to keep it at 3. I hear the price of giant flying ships has gone up due to the high demand from a Mr.B Owser.
This shop looks awesome! I would love to stock up my 13 game Famicom collection here.
I think your sumo name reads more like "Oyama" (or "Ooyama").
Yeah, in that context that would probably be the reading.
