- Decided to put together a quick video of some footage from SIRUI's 50mm f/1.8 1.33x on a Sony FX30.
Quick thoughts:
1) The lens is A LOT smaller than I originally anticipated it to be. I don't know why I was expecting this monster of a lens.
2) The lens has a really good weight to it (not too heavy) and feels very well constructed.
3) Lowlight performance is very good!
4) It can be challenging in some situations without a monitor attached (most monitors can De-Squeeze the image).
Overall, fantastic lens at an even better price. Also, most shots were within the base ISO (800 and 2500). Enjoy!
Great work!
Did you add any filter? Pro mist or cinebloom? How did you colour grade the footage?
I love it!
Great work!! Where did you shoot it?
Thank you! This was actually shot in Downtown Riverside, California.
Did you get the Super35 or APS-C version of this lens?
Hi, did you use noise reduction in post processing?
I did not!
@@ByPeterJames At the second base ISO (2500) the shadows in the S-LOG are very noisy. Did you shoot at 800 and below?
@@AlekseyMakeev No, I think I was pretty much 2500 ISO the whole time (minus a few shots).
@@ByPeterJames It's like everyone has a different version of the FX30 :) I can clearly see color noise on futages with ISO above 800-1250. And you have a very clean picture!
@@AlekseyMakeev Have you ran the pixel remapping? I have zero color noise. Ofc, there is noise but it looks quite filmic. It almost feels like the OG BMPCC but sharper and better in every measurable way :P
Gimbal ?
No gimbal.
@@ByPeterJames absolutely Stunning footage 👍👍👍
@@JoodyunicornThank you so much! That means a lot.
