Hey mate, your film is absolutely stunning! I've been creating 3D short films for a while and am now eager to start shooting live-action. I've been researching this lens for some time and watched thousands of videos made with it, but your film blew my mind. My conclusion is that while the lens is fantastic, your talent in lighting and color grading takes it to another level. Would you mind sharing your post-process? Thanks, and amazing work!
Yes, you have listed several films that used lenses with this focal length. However, many Hollywood movies were shot with a camera that has a super 35 sensor, which means that they had to use a lens with a different focal length to get a similar look. I want to say that this is an excellent lens, but the look of a Hollywood movies can be achieved with other lenses, and of course it is an advantage if they are anamorphic.
Thanks for watching, bud. I think the three films I mentioned ( 1917, The Witch, and Call me by Your Name ) were shot on full frame cameras with 35mm lenses.
Hi Ermia! Came across this video, it is awesome! Love the shots specially the colors. Do you mind sharing what picture profile settings you used and luts?pls? Thanks Ermia!
Very beautiful. I would love to know how you have build your rig and how you do focus. I assume you don't have a dedicated focus puller as an assistance.
Beautifully shot, edited and graded. I have the same combination, A7IV and the 35 saturn. I get a lot of screen wobble in the edges handheld. How do you deal with this?
Great review! this lens is a most have! I also have to tell you that the rolling shutter of the sony a7IV is very notorious but apart from that, the composition of the shots and color correction are really nice!
I have the same dslr A7IV but didn't know it can capture so great shots. Thanks for the motivation. Can you please suggest some budget lens to get great cinematic shots with Sony A7IV. ? Lots of love from India. Happy to subscribe your channel.
no, actually i never tried Nightwalker series, but they are completely diffrent. nightwalkers are spherical cinema lenses for APS-C sensors, but Venus and Saturn series are anamorphic lenses for FULL FRAME sensors. Their greatest advantage over these anamorphic lenses is their speed, T1.2 is excellent for low light conditions. T2.9 is not that great
Im super excited about this movie cause I can clearly see the super magnificent difference in the quality and visual beauty , you're the most talented person I know and super proud of you❤
