    Thank you so much! My sweet grandmother never had much money; she worked at a factory. But she loved collecting coins and I just found them! She left a 1945 and a 1945S in amazing condition, with full split bands! Also a 1945D in decent condition. Woo hoo! Thank you for your informative video!! 🙏🏼💗

    ive been watching your videos getting myself up to speed with the coins i have and you've helped out tremendously thank you.
    You mention that youd like feed back on the channel so heres my input.
    very informative and not a lot of extra dead space no need talk.
    What i do recommend is giving the audio a little love if you haven't already. i work with audio which tends to make my ears sensitive to certain frequencies and im sure the majority of people are as well. A quick and easy improvement is to tame the frequency in the 5000hz area. that is where the S's in the voice cut through. there area cheap if not free apps that work. cut the eq around 5000hz just until you dont hear the ssssss anymore or get a compressor to process that. the name of plugins that handle it for you is called a Dsser.
    thanks again.

    Hey there. After watching this video a week or so back, I went to a coin show and bought a roll of mercury dimes for $50. Surprisingly all but 5 in the tube are in AU condition. The only wear on them is of course the middle band on the back. Would any of these be worth anything without FSB? If so, could you let me know years and mint marks to look for?

    Only coins from mint sets grade high because they are struck with higher pressures and the dies are cleaned and replaced more often. Regular circulation strikes are generally ms 60. I just don't want people to be mislead into thinking if they buy a roll or bag of mercury dimes, especially if they have been circulated will ever grade better than ms60. Thanks enjoyed your video.

    What do I do with my error dimes? I stack silver. I was thinking about getting coins graded. I have errors on years not noted, does that increase the value. I believe 1 is going to be worth stupid $$$. I found a year with errors no1 is noticing. I guess I'll keep buying them up.

    I have a 1936 mercury dome with a die crack on obverse and also has full bands , on the reverse it looks like there is some doubling on the m and c of America. Looks like it should grade out about a 65, can you tell me if you have found any errors on this year.

    Dear BlueRidgeSilverhound!
    I have some actually a few 1958 Lincoln- same of probably 68+ or better and the way I see it is definitely a double die...what should I do to not loose it or
    some people - who knows - take advantage of the opportunity and I could separated from the real opportunity! Tanks if you have some time to this and make your opinion
    Sincerely

    I have a 1942d Mercury Dime and on the reverse side. It has a circular double ring that is engraved into the coin which is in the upper part in the facees which encircles around the middle split band. I have searched and searched trying to find a similar one but with no success. It appears it was etched during the dieing process. I does not appear that it was done after it was in circulation. Have you ever heard or seen a dime with this error?

    my name is Brandon and I have been collecting coins for about two years now and my wife came home from work from her restaurant and gave me 2 rolls of mercury dimes, and I didn't have any clue what they were worth, or any of my coins for that matter because I was not looking them up and I don't know whether or not to believe anyone on u-tube cause I know that some people are saying stuff about them that is not true, I am not sure what or who to believe, and I have been watching your videos for a few days now and I have caught myself writing things down to see if I have the stuff that you are talking about! me and my family are not wealthy and living in a 45year old trailer home that is falling apart on us every day and I dream about getting us out of hear, but I have lost my job and my son just broke his arm recently so it just seems more and more far fetched these days! anyway I'm sorry for carrying on but just wanted to thank you for your videos and asking you to keep it up and if I could support you on your site at all I would just let me know! Thanks again for your time and consideration!

    Going through my late Dad's stash of old Morgans. Some are nice and almost mint. The 2017 red book says some have the right mint marks and (could be) worth 5-figures. Where do I start? Get them graded? Coin shops here scoff and offer $35 bucks a piece. Mom's in an alzheimer's unit and need all the cash we can get for her.

    • @Maxemillion23
      @Maxemillion23 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well there are grades to coins. Your coin may be worth thousands if it is in great condition. Try using a reddit to get an idea if you are sitting on gold. You can send your coins to be typed and graded meaning they will tell you the coins year, mint mark, variant, and the quality of the coin. This can cost 20-30 dollars so you may want to assure that your coins are worth or could be worth thousands before investing. The cost of buying a silver dollar is cheaper then grading it in some circumstances.

    • @Maxemillion23
      @Maxemillion23 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also given he is willing to give you 35$ you have a coin of some value. Try searching your coin on ebay and search the already sold listings for that coin.

    • @Maxemillion23
      @Maxemillion23 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well is the coin in good quality and what is the mint mark on the coin. You also need to decide if there are errors, like when the coin press messes up. Also you need to assure the variant of the coin you have.

  • @camman6912

    Thank you for the video! I enjoyed the information. I checked out the red book on mercury dimes and it did not list any values for full split bands. I use to collect buffalo nickels and had a nice collection of key dates and semi-key dates all graded by either PCGS or NGC in high grades except for the 18/17 was in Vf-20 and I did not own the double-die16 unfortunately. Sold the collection to buy a second home. Home went down in value and coins doubled in value oh well know better next te!

    I've collected for years. I agree with Ethan. even with split bands it wouldn't be worth thousands of dollars.

    I have a coworker who claims to have a 1944 dime with the "full bands" .. would this be worth anything? He also has quite a few wheat pennies, .. one is a 1918, I believe

      Yes!!! But to determine a solid estimate 1st a photo then I can tell you what to do, to get what's is really worth.. you might be surprised & have a Superb Gem or Perhaps A error specimen: (Unknown!!!) Will be over 5 figures. Hope that helps.. 'n Good luck.

    Hi BlueRidgeSilverhound.
    I would appreciate your input.
    I know what I should know about it already.
    But watching your video I think you may have some good info: I own a 1968 NO S mint mark Roosevelt DIME (yep. That one you probably are thinking of). so.....any "observations" you may give me? Thanks in advance. see you around ; ) .
    PS: good Channel!
