    Awesome! I think my brother must have put that air filter in backwards. This is the owner by the way. Great to see it in a video!

    When I was younger. I remember my cousin wiring down a throttle on his snowmobile. Because it wouldn't start. He chased it across the field. It didn't end well for that sled. 💥😂

    Those engines are bullet proof from my experience. I had an arctic cat 400 running that motor I sold it with about 24,000-25,000km on it. Then the next guy used it and then sold it still running. Original top end still had enough compression it just about ripped my arm off😂

    I had carb issues with the same model. I cleaned the carb and thought about the china carb. But I ended up using the carb rebuild kit and the original carb. It runs so nice now its hard to believe that it ran so bad with rich black smoke and rough idle and no top end not long before the rebuild.

    Got a 2003 Eiger with a gazzilion km,'s on it. The speedo quite working at 6666km lol.
    It is my work horse, its got tracks and a plow for it. Its been abused but its in better shape than the two in your video.
    Im thinking i need to adjust the valves on it, getting hard to start and a little back firing going on and most likely a carb clean.
    Thanks for the vid!

    I think when you adjusted the throttle at the carburetor end, the valve opens only 90-95% percent. At first, when you adjusted the screw at the throttle body end, the valve opened up fully and touched the wall in the throttle body. But later, when you adjusted the plastic throttle thingy on the handlebar end, the throttle no longer pulls the cable to 100%. Can you please check the video I might be mistaken.
    timestamp 8:06 it was better, than 10:38. What do you guys think?
    It might be limiting the power for the customer :) I hope I'm right.

      Cable and the rod in that moves in the diff could be stuck

    • @Trx700life
      @Trx700life 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If youve already adjusted the cable. Pull the end of the cable out of the diff. We had one that had the same issue. It had rusted in the diff. If cable is stretched it won't allow it to disengage.

    Hey rock. Great show. So I'm the process of buying a polaris ace 575. I was looking for a 900 but it's too much for me. I was hospitalized last April with a stroke I had two but the got me in late for the 2nd. I couldn't walk and barely talk. I need a foot throttle instead of a thumb. I only 46 so take care of yourself rock. I also have a near mint 325 magnum 4x4 that my uncle left me in his will. He new how much I loved riding so I need a different machine. So any reviews would be awesome. PS... so I bought a snowmobile November last year. A very nice. Arctic cat 600 electric start. Reverse and all the cold gear I needed and you stole my snow😊. So I would love to visit Vermont next season and ride. So any advice on where to stay would be great. Thanks rock....travis

    • @rockspowersports
      @rockspowersports  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Oh wow sorry that happened to you Travis! As far as the Polaris ace 570 goes I think it will be plenty for you. I’ve ridden many sportsman 570’s and had a couple ace 570’s.. they have more than enough power to get through anything, they’ll do around 60mph. Those magnum 325’s are good little machines but the power isn’t comparable at all.
      They are reliable engines as long as you keep up with the oil changes.
      As far as Snowmobiling in Vermont, there is a small motel right in island pond that a lot of snowmobilers stay at.

    • @TravisVermilyea
      @TravisVermilyea 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Are they know for a bottom end sound. It sounds kinda like list pin. Maybe crank? If I remember rite all my polaris made a noise I cant remember. I could try and send audio.

      @rockspowersports that's what they all say mister. The fact that you do repairs and you tube, says you are in it to win it, yet dont do what it takes to be among the best, says it all. WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE AFTER THE EASY LAZY MONEY.

      @@rockspowersports yet again, that's what they all say. Just shut up, get to work, pump out the work. Then tell us stuff, after you have done each job. Your local customers have given your lazy ass tactics away, mister. You can no longer hide from, less than adequate service.
