Awesome! I think my brother must have put that air filter in backwards. This is the owner by the way. Great to see it in a video!
Hey! And It happens, machine should be done soon.
Sweet, thanks!
@@touchgo-rc7729 Do you still have it? Do you have extra side covers for sale?
What a relief to find a smoking gun like that! I rode a Eiger 400 once, I remember it feeling pretty quick!
Owm a 2002 Eiger. Found your vids a huge help. Thank you and keep it up
After finding your videos on TickTock this channel is my new favorite.
Glad to hear that! I guess that’s good for something if it brought you here!
Thanks for the video rock- the shop is looking awesome with your upgrades
Yay, finally you are using both hands. Nice
My neighbour had a 2004 . It was a great machine. I remember when the 400 cc machines were the biggest available .
Right, a 500 use to be considered a big bore quad.. not anymore!
When I was younger. I remember my cousin wiring down a throttle on his snowmobile. Because it wouldn't start. He chased it across the field. It didn't end well for that sled. 💥😂
Pretty neat!! The ole 400 sounds like my KQ 750 did.
Usually the 750’s are much quieter engine compared to the ticky 400’s
Great video as always, i love your content! Also, really funny to see that the weather and snow condition is almost exactly like it is here in the mid of Sweden, every video is like looking out the window here
Thanks! I’m glad you like the videos. That is pretty funny that we are so far away from each other and have about the same weather.
Those engines are bullet proof from my experience. I had an arctic cat 400 running that motor I sold it with about 24,000-25,000km on it. Then the next guy used it and then sold it still running. Original top end still had enough compression it just about ripped my arm off😂
That’s awesome!
Good video mannnnn. Ready for the next 😃
I had carb issues with the same model. I cleaned the carb and thought about the china carb. But I ended up using the carb rebuild kit and the original carb. It runs so nice now its hard to believe that it ran so bad with rich black smoke and rough idle and no top end not long before the rebuild.
That snow went fast.
Sure did! Been in the 50’s all week and hit 60 degrees today with lots of rain..
Love Suzuki atvs. Can’t wait for the next video. I like the new shop look. Buddy your videos are the best on TH-cam. Hope you keep up with all the different type of content. Like fix ,test ride and what you been up to videos. Thank you for doing them.
Glad to hear that Joe! I’ll keep the videos coming.
I used to have one up until about 2 weeks ago but the thing was a work horse, fun little machine and the motor always ran like a top
Man i love you’re video .. its pretty nice if you are able to fix and run 0nly 50% what you owned.
Just recently subscribed to the channel and really do enjoy your videos. Great content - keep up the good work and thanks.
Looks like Rocks studio now instead of shed. Not that I care but it really cleaned it up.
I’ll keep doing a little at a time to improve it.
Got a 2003 Eiger with a gazzilion km,'s on it. The speedo quite working at 6666km lol.
It is my work horse, its got tracks and a plow for it. Its been abused but its in better shape than the two in your video.
Im thinking i need to adjust the valves on it, getting hard to start and a little back firing going on and most likely a carb clean.
Thanks for the vid!
Smart repair on the cable. That would've had the dealership scratching their heads.
ive got a 2016 suzuki kingquad 500 great machine love suziki they make good machines
I saw the jenky black tape at the carb slide side.
I do like the video
Rock that’s my old 400 I sold to you would like to see why it seized up if it was the oil
I think when you adjusted the throttle at the carburetor end, the valve opens only 90-95% percent. At first, when you adjusted the screw at the throttle body end, the valve opened up fully and touched the wall in the throttle body. But later, when you adjusted the plastic throttle thingy on the handlebar end, the throttle no longer pulls the cable to 100%. Can you please check the video I might be mistaken.
timestamp 8:06 it was better, than 10:38. What do you guys think?
It might be limiting the power for the customer :) I hope I'm right.
Howdy duty from Indiana
I had a 2008 king quad 400. Bought with under 1600km on it. Didn’t have good luck with it at all unfortunately
What issues did you run into?
My dad has one identical to these he bought new. It’s stuck in 4wd, the lever moves normally.. any tip to check?
Cable and the rod in that moves in the diff could be stuck
If youve already adjusted the cable. Pull the end of the cable out of the diff. We had one that had the same issue. It had rusted in the diff. If cable is stretched it won't allow it to disengage.
I have an 04 arctic cat with same motor
Arkansas Wavin
Love the videos. I’ve got an old big wheel 80 u can work on. located in Maine let me know.
Hey rock. Great show. So I'm the process of buying a polaris ace 575. I was looking for a 900 but it's too much for me. I was hospitalized last April with a stroke I had two but the got me in late for the 2nd. I couldn't walk and barely talk. I need a foot throttle instead of a thumb. I only 46 so take care of yourself rock. I also have a near mint 325 magnum 4x4 that my uncle left me in his will. He new how much I loved riding so I need a different machine. So any reviews would be awesome. PS... so I bought a snowmobile November last year. A very nice. Arctic cat 600 electric start. Reverse and all the cold gear I needed and you stole my snow😊. So I would love to visit Vermont next season and ride. So any advice on where to stay would be great. Thanks rock....travis
Oh wow sorry that happened to you Travis! As far as the Polaris ace 570 goes I think it will be plenty for you. I’ve ridden many sportsman 570’s and had a couple ace 570’s.. they have more than enough power to get through anything, they’ll do around 60mph. Those magnum 325’s are good little machines but the power isn’t comparable at all.
They are reliable engines as long as you keep up with the oil changes.
As far as Snowmobiling in Vermont, there is a small motel right in island pond that a lot of snowmobilers stay at.
Are they know for a bottom end sound. It sounds kinda like list pin. Maybe crank? If I remember rite all my polaris made a noise I cant remember. I could try and send audio.
Closest I have been was a couple years ago we went to a usable caverns
Tires are still in great shape 😂
I mean they still hold air so that’s a plus…haha
I break axles on my Artic cat 500 all the damn time 😭 😝
You have oversized tires on it?
@@rockspowersports no I don’t actually but the 2nd one was my dumbass spinning on a mud hole
Oh gotcha!
Can I get some big bear 350/400 content
This is a customer machine, its been here for a little bit. No wonder i steal your work bro!!! You got to shit and git those jobs out NOW!!! ITS SO EASY TO TAKE JOBS FROM THE AVERAGE MECHANIC!!!
You can take as many jobs away as you please.. I never asked for customers, I’d rather be working on my own machines. I take some customers to help them out..
@rockspowersports that's what they all say mister. The fact that you do repairs and you tube, says you are in it to win it, yet dont do what it takes to be among the best, says it all. WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE AFTER THE EASY LAZY MONEY.
I do these videos on TH-cam so maybe the owners of these machines can see how the repair goes and they can tackle it on their own if they feel inclined.
@@rockspowersports yet again, that's what they all say. Just shut up, get to work, pump out the work. Then tell us stuff, after you have done each job. Your local customers have given your lazy ass tactics away, mister. You can no longer hide from, less than adequate service.
