I'm new to making gadgets in RecRoom, and I've been trying to find ways to create cool gadgets but no one will teach me, but I'm glad this video helped me a lot, I just now need to find ways to get costume music and cool color fonts.
You can put custom music using samples V1 and your microphone. It's a very tricky method, but that's what players have been using. There's also sample V2 or something, but I have no clue how to use it :p
I think that instead of using a projectile launcher you should use something like a dispenser. I don't really know how it works, (nor do I know its name lol), I will try to dive deeper into it and maybe make a tutorial on it someday.

Probably. The only way I know of is making an invisible collision grabable and attaching it to the front. The problem is I don't quite know how, since you can attach only one thing to the gizmo's base at a time. There probably is some other way around it.
I have been have a small hard time getting the gun into the model I made for it. If you could help with that like make a video on it. I also do not have a vr headset.

Yup, there is, but you don't use the projectile launcher in this case. You have to use a collection of other CV2 gadgets that unfortunately, not only do I know how to use, but I don't even know their names... :p
@@ciastek1292 Oh no, using subtraction and linked integer variables you can make a trigger pull subtract ammo from one variable and fire the projectile, then you can use some other way to set the ammo back to full like a button or an interaction volume. You can make the weapon stop firing if ammo is less than 1 with an if and a greater than chip.
uh, I guess it's impossible? The skin has to be decorational so that the projectile launcher, as well as the trigger handle, had an easier time when used. But who knows, you can try experimenting and maybe put the skin from decorational to physical or sticky.

It's shown in the video. You can either make a prop yourself or spawn one of rec room's. In both cases, you use a gizmo to connect them together. I recommend making a prop yourself and setting it on "decoration".
I'm not really sure, but it has to do something with either the ai spawner or this big game chip I keep forgetting the name of. I believe it's called "Game Rule" or something. I might make a separate tutorial on it when I dive deeper into that muself.
It doesn't work during games? Dang, I dunno then. Maybe you can play around with health config in the game chip (I believe that's how it's called), otherwise I have no clue.
you edit the game board and add a event receiver into it. Configure the event receiver to something along the lines of PlayerDamage and then it should work
@@nolongerbill Drop your makerpen. if not the delete that one and spawn a new projectile launcher. if that doesn't work too, then that´s probably a bug. I don´t remember if there are any configurations specific to its visibility, but I doubt there are.
Hey, so a weird problem thats happening, I am making a minigun right now for a game, and whenever I hold it down, it plays the noise once, and only fires 3 paintballs. Do you know any way of fixing this? Its been happening for a couple days now, and im not sure what to do.
Great question. About the sound, you should make it so that the chip gets activated repeatedly until the trigger is released. Also make sure that it has "interrupt current sound" checked in the configuration. Now about the firing, does your minigun fire multiple paintballs a tick?
@@MrNimbleBear Yes, it does. Also, is there any way to make it play the whole sound, but another one overlaps it, so you could have multiple of it playing at the same time?
@@Icy_noob5 Yes, and the easiest solution for that is copying these chips and have a delay chip between every single one of them that matches the length of the sound, (no clue how to stop the sound when the trigger is released, though). And about paintballs... yeah it's a rec room issue. The game might struggle comprehending how many projectiles there are. I'd recommend experimenting with reducing the projectile amount or tuning it down to one completely.
Try practicing it more and take your time learning about what's happening in the video. I've remade the gun exactly from the video and can assure you that it isn't broken. (Unless rec room wants to change something one day).
@@dantemikhail417 Now I see what you mean. Well, since this video is pretty old and rr has changed a few things here and there, instead of a button, all these rr objects have a list of possible configs. In that list you can find "detached" config.
You can possibly connect the trigger handle and its "automatic firing" mechanism to multiple projectile launchers, yes. I'm not 100% sure, but most likely you can do that.

You connect the trigger handle to the base of the gizmo, not the yellow part of it. Anything else you want to connect to the gun goes on the yellow part of the gizmo.
No clue. I was only going through basics. Everyone in this comment section is saying to use gun handle instead, but as far as I know it has been removed for some reason.
I'm not a big circuit guy, but I do know that you have to tweak some parameters in the delay chip. Although there's a problem; if you spam the trigger, the delay will be deemed useless. I don't know how to get around that, but there definitely is a way. Again, don't know circuits much, sorry.

You can also make it a paint ball or a cork. It's in the projectile settings. I think I showcased that, but can't recall correctly.

Because you need to connect them all in 1 line. For example connect to sfx input first, and then from sfx output to emitter

You'll have to setup a game mode with specific rules and start it up.
You can also use a piston V2
If to connect these together, then yes. Pretty much anything that is invisible and connects certain things works.

No, there isn't. You can only tweak a little the spread and amount of projectiles to make an illusion of a big projectile.

Yes. In a simple way, you can do that via samples by using your mic. Otherwise, there's a CV2 version, which I unfortunately don't know how to use.

That's probably impossible, unless you're talking about hitscan. I briefly covered it in my other video about custom melee weapons.

You connect the trigger handle to the base of the gizmo, not the yellow part of it. Anything else you want to connect to the gun goes on the yellow part of the gizmo.
