This rec room circuits tutorial will show you how to set up life bars, damage, and respawning for almost any item in the game. *ATTENTION* rec room changed the projectile hit even, now it outputs collision data instead of hit player, just use a COLLISION DATA GET PLAYER chip, this will output a player and the rest is the same

I was doing stuff in the rec center when I found out that the bin is literally the glitchiest thing ever, so I thought "Hmmm, I should make a bin PVP!"

For the projectile launcher, I followed every step correctly but when I got to the part of the even sender and clicked the event tab thingy, there was nothing listed under it unlike how there was do damage listed under yours
Its a custom event you have to make with the event definition

I think you mean the reapawning bit, you need to set position of the player who was hit

Hook the top one to the game hub conatant amd the power on to the player who was hit

when you go in the player object board it tells you who the hit player is,you just have to make ports to get that info our of the player board

I'm sorry I lost you on the target on the set game hud value. Can you tell me where you hooked up up way over there. It's not joking up to the player connection.
At the end of the video when you said connect the second game HUD element to value, I try to connect to target to the other set game HUD element value, and I didn’t Have to go to work

yes this should work with the standard in game guns

You could kinda do it but it would be more like invisible health and then the car like stopa working or something

ohhh good question, idk if htere is a head roatation chip, you might have to use a player gaze chip, then split the vector and just get the y component, hmmmm but even then i think you would need trigonometry

there are 2 ways that i know of sequence chip, and using a 0 second delay and hooking one thing to the run out put and one to the after delay

Do you have go over player rotation, like if you want to randomize the teams each turn
So like one player against a team, every time player dies a new player takes that spot, the player that died is returned back to the other team and replaced by new person of that makes sense
i think you could add roles to players, like get a list of all players then cycle through the index, add role to one remove when they die, use my other pvp this all damage, when thye dies swithc the roles
There’s a issue where if me and the other person die at the same time only one of us will get removed by the role is there a fix to it?
hmmm never incountered before, im not quite sure how to fix that, i wonder did the event send locally, i would imagine if its local on each player system that should be it
Hi RCL, I've been wondering lately, could we make a trigger volume that sends a constant signal, in which that signal is the Dps send to an Ai like a golbin
Sorta like u could hook an if to a 30hz then a bool to the trigger, if enter make bool true, if leave make bool false
@@theRCLman, ok I so I was not clear enough but, it’s all good now, I’ve figured it out. 👍 Just for retrospect, I’ve learned that the 30hz is to much for the damage output ( to much lag) and for the the goblin to receive the damage all I had to do is to use a ray cast. In consequence, when the game detects a (Rec room object | AI | Player) it will send the damage to the detected object. If it’s not a goblin it won’t work, but when the opposite happens. Well I think you can guess what happens next. Though, I would of wish that the goblin actually explodes, just like when you hit it with a sword. Thanks for the help!

I have a small issue where the first shot does double damage, do you know why this could be?

its like what ever number you subtract the damage from make sure to base all other readings off of that,
the issue i had was that i was subtracting damage but then it was like subtracting again which sounds similar to what you are have, but it was like the game updated so fast that it does double damage

it is possible but a bit compilicated, ill have to make a vid, with the projectile laucher its baked intot the projectile hit player but I'll have to go back in and try to figure out the other methods
@@theRCLmanI expiremented and found out how. You have to make a 3rd event on the event definition that's a player and attach player that fired to the that event on the sender
Whenever I set the event receiver to projectile hit player I don’t see the hit player part any advice?
So they recently changed it, you see where is says collision data hook up a collisiob to player right there, it ahould output a player which you can then continue on as normal
Lil question here if, i don't know i have a bunch of the same object such as a sword and i want them all to do damage, what should i do?
each trigger volume hooked to the sword needs it own row of chips just like the ones in the video and they all send that same do damage event but beyond that everything should be the same

So basically if someone is dead and they are waiting to be respawned the next player that took damage BEFORE the dead player gets respawned basically gets respawned instead of the dead person. Is there a way to fix this

Hey it me Ahmed mahmoud look I wanted to know how to fix the spawner gadget v1 , when I spawn any AI my rec room game lags and the guns I shoot shoot slow and stop shooting at all how do I fix this
???? v1 should have no problems as long as the nave mesh is down, idk about the guns maybe just out of ammo, i know the big guns run out till they respawn
how do i make it so you can’t go to the next level till all enemies are dead for a quest map and how do i make it so you keep the weapons in ur hand when entering door for next level
I think there is an execution on the spawner component that goes off when all objects are destroyed at the bottom

i suppose instead of player join givvign health you could have when player enters zone give health, that would be simplist however i imagine ppl would just leave and enter again for 100 health

Hey, I have a very specific request. I want to know how to make explosive projectiles using the projectile launcher. It's been bugging me for weeks. How i think you do it is that you get the collision data from the projectile, somehow get the coords from the collision, teleport a explosion emitter to said coords, and make it explode. I dont know how to do any of that and I would really appreciate it if you could do a tutorial on that.

There’s a 76% chance you won’t know what I’m talking about but since we have 2 hands which is equal to 2, therefore, we need the left hand and right hand data for the punching system, each spherecast has a player port resembling the player that received the punch, in your circuit board, you only have one player port, I need to combine the player ports to work the damage circuits, to deal damage to the player that was punched. How do I do that?

So in the circuit board when ever a player is hit with left hand it records the player hit onto a player variable, i cloned that variable and do the same thing on the right hand circuits, player gets hit record player hit onto player variable, that player variable is hooked to the port, so regardless of which side hits the player variable is changed and is output

i attached a trigger volume to the pointy sword part the when a person enters the trigger zone the circuits check if the person who was hit does not equal the person currently holding the sword, and it checks to see if the sword is being held by someone

Hey RCL please make a video on how to make the projectile launcher kick someone I believe you must first edit it's circuit board and add a new function and put a port(exec) there then you edit the actual circuit board, place a projectile launcher hit player event receiver and connect its output to the new port(exec) oh yeah and make that port(exec) as an output I think am pretty sure that's the first step but I don't know the rest
