      My guess is the dams cutting off the flow from 40 tributaries are really the problem.

      @ Sage, it does mention the dams, but minimizes their impact. The piece says the actual cause of the lack of water is climate change as indicated by the title.

    Bruh saddam would’ve crushed turkey if they did that

    The main culprit is Turkey.. Turkey built 635 mega-dam projects within its borders. The Turkish government continues to strongly promote the construction of dams particularly along the Euphrates and Tigris.

    2:16 the building behind is built using reeds from the marshes. One of the first construction techniques humans ever used. People of Mesopotamia used that same construction technique more than 5000 years ago and still being used today by current inhabitants. The shape and design of that reed hut has also remained the same. Mesopotamia is one of the cradles of civilization and these marshes played a big role in establishing society. Saddam did a terrible thing by draining the marshes at one point.

      Of course prayer work if you combine it with determination and pursuit. Prayers are not magic! You don’t get what you want doing nothing but prayers. You take steps towards what you want along with prayers. This combination of having a strong belief in the “source of all creation” and initiating steps, is the way for the prayers to be answered.

    • @Aliiii1276
      @Aliiii1276 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No he threatened turkey and neighbouring country to not build a damm so nobody did and everything was fine until he was gone and we lost everything when saddam fell

    • @Stewie-Griffin
      @Stewie-Griffin 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes he drained them before but they returned back after his fall in 2003 and now because Turkey is building 600 dams they are drying up
