  • "The Living Bridges" of Meghalaya are the product of human ingenuity in the face of nature. Hundreds of years ago, when monsoons swelled the streams in the mountain jungle and turned them into raging torrents, the surrounding villages built living bridges out of tree roots. It's a tradition still alive today.

    Mr. Haali has grown old . He is the same person from the BBC Human Planet meghalaya episode, where he was teaching his neice Julianna to attend the bridge

    The Double Decker Bridges are in a beautiful location, but I can understand why the locals do not want the tourists down there 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

    It's good that the village makes money from the tourists, but too many will easily overwhelm their culture and end the peaceful life.
