Antique Dayton Toy Train Restoration

- This is a 1930's Dayton Friction Drive Toy Train with Tender. I found this train online and paid $80. Being this old I figured the paint would be lead and it was, which required using a paint stripper. Overall the body was in pretty good shape but the tender part of the train had some issues with the flooring that took quite a bit of work to get figured out. This is truly a magnificent restoration, marvelous.

Agreed. Dayton makes some really solid and old toys. I am currently working on a Dayton ship from the 1930's. Hopefully you will check it out.
