I've never heard this game before, but I instantly fell in love with it. Thanks for making this video!

Hey! Found your video on the SoME voting page. My process didn't allow me to write official feedback, but I liked your video and wanted to give you my thoughts anyway :)
This is my favorite video that I've seen in the competition so far. I wouldn't call myself a big Threes-like player (although of course I did get caught up in the 2048 craze) but your enthusiasm for the genre and for this game in particular was inspiring. I haven't caught your previous videos, in particular I wasn't really active during SoME2, but I definitely hope to see more from you!
Your explanation for the construction of seeds did a great job at breaking down an admittedly tricky part of the problem. I also really appreciated the way you discussed your data- it seems like you have strong sense for the ethical responsibilities of a statistician, even if the stakes here are obviously pretty low.
If I must find a critique, it would only be that the video felt slightly long. For me that was mostly a positive because you really drew me into the topic, but I can imagine folks who would have gotten more from this if it were split into two videos, with some of the more data-heavy stuff separated out.
That said. At the end, you mentioned your goal was to come to this space with a genuine "idea" that you wanted to explore, and to inspire others to think about math outside the "series of exercises" paradigm. To that end, I'd say you were spot on.

This video clearly explains so many interesting concepts of DIVE that I never would’ve thought of, but are actually pretty useful information. The fact that the different colors of tiles all have those “magic number” probability constants associated with them is really cool (I will absolutely be memorizing them lol), and it also means 1008 was “SUPPOSED” to take you 1.742e15 games to unlock, which is just astonishing and yet not all that surprising xD Great video, it was a real joy to watch and I’m always amazed to think of how far the DIVE community (particularly you) has taken the game! ^w^

      Thank you!
I will say that the number you got for x in "1008 was supposed to take you x many games" comes from reading into the oversimplifications here. The fuzzy-stick logic (aka cunningham chains and things like them), mean that 1007 can be reached quickly from 41, so the task of unlocking 1008 is significantly easier than unlocking 1002, for a player who knows deeper dive strategy. It's one of the notable exceptions that I'll have to cover in my blog post.
