I was at the game… (1) run defense screwed us (2) Lombardi ran it raider 25 in OT which killed drive. Herbert was cooking!! Why run?! Then FG on 4th&1 in OT. (3) This loss is not on Herbert. Herbert balled out. Herbert had zero time to throw. NEXT YEAR⚡️⚡️
This was insane. A game where two teams.... who only needed a tie.... decided to duke it out until overtime.... where it ALMOST ended in a tie anyway 🤯
The raiders wanted to kneel down the play before the FG. But the chargers timeout changed the plan lol

The Raiders had a better defense and offensive line...But Herbert is the bomb and he played lights outs, too bad it did not end in a tie so both teams went to the playoffs.

This guy has so much heart and pride and determination and never gives up and seems so good under pressure. This was truly one of the craziest games I’ve ever witnessed. Herbert converting 4th down 6 TIMES? Absolutely unreal. As a Steelers fan, very happy with no tie- though both teams played out of their minds. Either team was deserving. By far the best game of the year- what a great game to end the regular season.

Herbert had the greatest drive I’ve ever witnessed. Three 4th and long conversions and threw a dot for the TD to send it to OT. He didn’t win but helluva game 10 respect for not folding 💯

Learn GEMATRIA and you be able to see for yourself how they script every game or choose to live fairytale land. What a game. When you here someone talk about, "mental toughness". This Raiders bunch gave the world a new definition of it in football. A mental slugfest the likes we only see in Super Bowls. Herbert's 4th stats have got to be the best we've ever seen as well. Then you throw in the last 19 play drive to send it into overtime. Just incredible effort and mental toughness for both team's. I'm even more proud to be a AFC west fan now. Patrick and the Kingdom our my dude's. This game was on a different level it made me cheer for both teams at many points during the game. This rivalry just got reignited. Big time.
The Raiders have had one of the most impressive seasons especially if you consider the context. They lost their coach, had tragedies and distractions just rock their team. They lost a legend in John Madden. Yet despite all that adversity they managed to make the playoffs. They’ve got the most heart of any team in the playoffs

Raider fan since i was a kid in the 90's...I cannot wrap my head around this season, and maybe I never will. I will say this: There has never been a Raider team in my lifetime that I am more proud of, and the 2021 Raiders are now immortalized among Raider fans as a damn special team with the most incredible heart and resilience. What a ride.

Herbert came alive at the end of this game under huge pressure and he did really well
I’ve been watching football since the late sixties and that final drive to tie the game has to be the best ever. The receivers were gassed and Herbert was under constant duress for every throw, but came through over and over again on 4th and long. Has to be the most plays to get a touchdown on a final drive or most forth down conversions on a final drive. Just incredible. Steelers fans must’ve pooped a few twinkies to the very end.
The pressure put on Herbert is tremendous.

18:56 was the key play nobody is talking about. With 3rd and 8...if that pass is incomplete the Raiders would of had to punt. Zay Jones with an incredible catch to put Raiders in the playoffs

@@sthelensson fair point. Herbert converting 5/6 4th and 10 was stellar. In my opinion, resilience was demonstrated when the Raiders almost gave away the game after having a commanding lead. Resilience to me is not "not choking" it is choking but not giving up. Thoughts?
As a raiders fan man I’ll tell you that Herbert is gonna be a huge star. He’s a great quarterback. This game came down to stupid mistakes on both sides and two beat up quarterbacks duking it out until the very last second. Best game I’ve ever seen

Herbert is going to be something crazy, one of my favorite newer quarterbacks to watch. Have seen him run some crazy plays and comes in clutch almost everytime they need him to.

An underrated fact about this Raiders season is that they have FOUR overtime wins and two more game winning FG's. They have been clutch all season. Incredibly well-deserved playoff spot after the tremendous adversity they've faced this season. And there couldn't be a more perfect ending than choosing their own playoff opponent with a walk off FG! 😅

@@pedrofrancochau2643 actually looking back at it, the Charger's TO made sense with the Raiders 3rd and 4. if Jacobs got stuffed for little or no gain, then the Chargers with their last TO stop it at say 32 seconds, then the Raiders don't chance a missed 55+ FG and giving the Chargers the ball on their 40 with 25 seconds. they punt it.

Now that was a game of football. The determination both teams had, and the 4th down clutch ups were insane. Herbert's calmness and cool to stay in the pocket and take hits for how young he is, is just amazing. He's going to be one of the elites in the league the next 6-7 years with no injuries. What a great game. Games that mean something are always the best.

On the contrary, the receivers were clutch on 4th down. If anything, this game will give Telesco incentive to spend his $75 million in Cap Space on Defensive Lineman and Depth. I'm hoping the Chargers bring in Vic Fangio as Defensive Coordinator, as Head Coaches who go back to being DCs tend to do very well. The right side of the O-line was exposed too

While I initially thought this was the first 18 week NFL season, 1993 which had 2 bye weeks and 2001 which postponed games because off the 911 attack, also had 18 week seasons. So I'll have to compare this season with those two seasons before agreeing.

Chargers need to get some run defense. The Chargers have a good, almost great match quarters pass defense however they chose to not invest in the run d at all. The experiment of such a funnel has failed.
I have and had zero investment in the fates of the Raiders, Chargers, and Steelers, but despite that, this game is one of the greatest I've ever seen. The final 5 or so minutes of the 4th quarter and all of OT were such an engrossing spectacle.
So, unique with the "Tie and both get in" scenario. Along with a serious hard fought game from both sides. Classic!

As a Chargers fan, congratulations to our rivals. Hope you guys show out in the playoffs. The atmosphere of Las Vegas this night was shaped up to be a Raiders win. But I have never been so proud of my team in a losing effort. I love our quarterback. The kid is a stud. He shows so much heart and adversity, and has the potential to be something truly great. These last 2 seasons haven't been playoff worthy, but I have never been so anxious to see them in the playoffs. The excitement I get when Herbert takes the field. I remember watching interviews of him and Tua, and was hoping we picked him. Can't wait till next year. ⚡

Ok I think Herbert officially became a NFL star in front of our eyes on Sunday Night Football. I've never EVER EVER seen so many 4th down conversions on a single drive ever in my life. Statistically, that just doesn't happen in any level of football.
