    Love the 2 pencil/SA hack!! Now I can dive into my Fibre Mood patterns. Recently made the Lois dress from Tessuti & the darts were cut out. It was scary but worked perfectly. You insert a zip into one of the darts, which was a little bit if magic I thought. Amazing the little things that make a big difference. Thanks for sharing your hacks. 👌

      Yes it’s such a simple think isn’t it but such a difference! I hope the seam allowance hack works I need to try that properly I think! Thank you for watching xx

    Hi Sally I really enjoyed your vlog I just watched😀 My favorite make you chose is your Carolyn pajamas. The fabric is so cheerful and pretty🤩🤩 and the pink piping is perfect!! Can't wait to see how they look, very pretty I'm sure😊 I have to tell you how pleasantly surprised it was to see you pull out your new Montana midi dress pattern because I just bought that same one a week ago and look forward to making it. It's simplicity caught my eye😃 I'm sure your summer dress will be just as lovely as all your makes. You're a great seamstress ....you can make anything!😊

    Hi Sally, I feel the same about using up my knit fabrics before I start doing some Spring and Summer sewing😊 Love the PJ plans and fabrics. The Toaster sweater is one of my favorite patterns but I think I still prefer the Jarrah for me😉

    • @SecretLifeOfASeamstress
      @SecretLifeOfASeamstress  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m definitely excited for spring sewing now :) I agree the Jarrah is my favourite pattern too, I’m hoping the neck of the Toaster won’t annoy me. Thanks for watching xx

    Great choices! the Style Arc dress looks so comfy for summer... would definitely luv to see a sew along the the Style Arc Schacket... this would make a good summer evening jacket for around the campfire.. or in my case.. beachfire :)

    I like your pyjama projects, especially the Carolyn pyjamas with pink piping would look wonderful. I've just made myself pyjamas out of silk fabric . Now that we're getting into spring I find my winter pjs too warm and at my age I need something cool so silk was the right choice as it feels both cool and wonderful to the skin.

    • @SecretLifeOfASeamstress

      I bet your silk pyjamas are lovely and very luxurious. I’m making the Carolyn pyjamas at the moment And I’m really enjoying how they are coming together xx

    Hi Sally, I too am a fan of Style Arc patterns and have made the Nova dress quite recently which was an easy and successful sew.
    I am what is termed " a confident beginner " and found the pattern instructions though minimal ,easy to follow. The choice of patterns available from Style Arc are great, makes me want to try them all !!! Good luck with all your plans for March.

    • @SecretLifeOfASeamstress

      I like the look of the Nova Dress - well done I think confidence in sewing counts for a lot! Yes I agree there are so many that I'd like to try too, great selection and very size inclusive too. Thanks for watching xx

    Super video, thanks. I have the Montana pattern, I made it in a woven fabric, it was, as you said, a super easy pattern to make. Mine turned out rather large, so be careful which size you choose to make. I think it would be very good in a stretch fabric, in fact you have inspired me to try just that - I have several jersey fabrics waiting for me to get round to using. I shall try a smaller size this time, though. I recently bought five Style Arc patterns from Style Arc in Australia, and they came faster than lots of British ones do. The postage cost is high, but if you just work on the overall cost divided by the number of patterns, the cost per pattern is still very reasonable. I'm sure you know this, but some subscribers may not!

    • @SecretLifeOfASeamstress
      @SecretLifeOfASeamstress  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I am a little worried about the sizing of the dress I think I’ll probably size down when I make it. Thank you for the explanation about postage and cost too that’s very helpful :) x

    Oh my goodness, that petrol coloured fleece back fabric is spectacularly beautiful! I would happily be clothed in that from head to toe 😍 And I agree, the simplicity of that dress pattern is what makes it so appealing. Looking forward to seeing your garments made up.

    All those look stunning. I've just made the lennox skirt from stylearc and about to make my second version. They are sketchy instructions but like you said the pattern drafting makes up for the lack of instructions. The shacket will be lovely in that check fabric.

    • @SecretLifeOfASeamstress
      @SecretLifeOfASeamstress  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes they are just a different type of pattern aren’t they. I think a lot of indie patterns have very detailed instructions so that’s what we’re used to. Thank you for watching I’ll have a look at that SA pattern too 😊 x
