It's disturbing that so many commenters in YT hate on the Malibu! I don't hate. On the contrary...I find it to be competent and maybe a good groove to drive. I speak for myself and I'm sure many will criticize what I say here, but I don't care. Great review by the way! Peace...🙏🏹♐
@@robertriley1569 What I don't understand is, if these people hate the Malibu so much then why do they even watch these reviews? I think they secretly admire the Malibu but are too ashamed to admit it. Mostly all the hate come from the Toyota fanboys who think every other car has the reliability of a Land Rover. BTW, I have a 2022 Malibu too that has over 20K miles on it. It never gave me any problem and still runs like new.
@@joro7304 It's true there is alot of hate for the Malibu, but I don't know how people can not like the looks of it.The big chrome grille the nods to the Corvette and the Camaro in the shape of the hood/fascia it's just a handsome car. The slit headlamps, the beak front end door mounted side view mirrors on the new 2025 Camry just don't do it for me and the fact that all the new Camrys are Hybrid now.I bought my Ls in Sept. 2022 in just a few short years later there almost out of production too bad.
because they want it to have 500 hp, so they can tear out, thinking it's a Charger. It's not that kind of sedan, it's a gas saving sedan, thus the turbo 1.5 L. Otherwise, it seems like a fine overall sedan.
Just bought a 2025 RS in gray. Even after rolling in 4500 in negative equity and putting zero down they were able to keep my payments the same. Mid 400s. That's how much they will discount these cars. They took o er 4000 from msrp. I M very happy with it.
You keep saying "pretty basic" but heck... my first car had a manual transmission, heat, and an AM/FM radio. That was it. Had to physically roll the windows up/down... My son has the 2025 RS and it is a pretty sweet little car.
Luv the blacked out RS look, but no digital dash and no heated seats or steering wheel for $28,000 is no good for a 2025 ride...C'mon GM, need those extra touches🤷🏻♂🤷🏻♂🤷🏻♂
Great review, Joshua! My daily is one of the launch editions of this body style, a 2016 Premier 2.0T and it’s still holding strong with zero issues!
The 2.0T is a great motor!

I have a 2022 only a little above 5,000 miles still feels like new. I've noticed in many Malibu videos people love to s..t on them.

@@jackson5116 They are good on gas.The the car is not a rocket at passing/merging but once your up to speed it's plenty fast.

It is nice! I’m just desensitized from jumping in and out of new cars all day haha
Does it need a refresh? It's nice to see a new car that actually looks like car.
I feel the same way.
True, Function over form. I know Hyundai and Kia have plenty bells and whistles....just not reliable.
Bowtie!!!!
GM's gone down in quality for a long time now. Especially going into the early-mid 2000's (better than GM today but still had quality control issues.)
Forgot to mention: I'd definitely go for the panoramic sunroof! 👏👍
Good choice!
@@YTJoshuaMcDonald Thanks, friend! 😁🙏🏹♐
It sad that such a stylish car be discounted. I regularly see someone driving one of them in my area.
Rented both a malibu and a maxima. Other than power the Malibu was far better
Wheel size is “going to be” 18 inches? It IS 18 inches
Sorry English is hard
Geez no heated seats or steering wheel on that trim? Got to go up to the 1LT or 2LT to get that. Not cool in 2024 or 2025🤷🏻♂🤷🏻♂🤷🏻♂
I hav a 2016 Malibu LT not much difference
Discontinued
My 2020 looks better than that one
