    I was a student in this beautiful city. I have traveled to many countries in the world. I did not see the same beauty and cleanliness. This city, people and residents are beautiful and respectful. Honestly, I miss Vancouver.🙏❤️

    Interesting meditative video to play in background while working on assignment/ or around home relaxing ... exceptional visual definition , surreal with the slow plodding pace, & muffled background sound of people, traffic & activities ...
    Jeff Speck, “The Walkable City”,* would appreciate/approve 🏆 Vancouver, truly a great walkable -cycling city, has the longest inner-city route system with continuous uninterrupted flow, without any traffic control, lights nor interference in North America. It’s completely car free & carefree. || See, it’s its almost 100 year-old seawall system - a continuous waterfront pedestrian-cycling promenade - which makes living in city centre such a joy. One can walk all day with friends or loved one, or become über-fit athletic by running-cycling, on other days. [ video features a large portion of coverage along the False Creek -Coal Harbour seawalls.
    ||>>
    Kinda like a modern day equivalent of 19th Century’s Parisienne Boulevards (without traffic noise) .... perfect in all seasons/weather & great for kids ... so much wildlife spotting (many have returned to the city’s inner harbours, with much of the previous century’s heavy industry relocated, stricter pollution control standards, along with enormous ongoing environmental protection, habitat restoration reclamation & cleanup of adjacent water.
    Of course, none of this happened overnight; instead it’s multigenerational longterm visioning for Vancouver evolved over many generations of urban planners, city staff, citizens’ groups, etc. ... yet focused on the human being & public good as a benchmark to keep consistent.
    By definition, this is “Vancouverism” ... simply put, it’s about a collective mindset of “city beautiful”, gorgeous, generously provided public spaces, parks/gardens, greenways & accessible amenities for all ... of all ages.
    Vancouver 🇨🇦 City has made a name for itself in urban design-planning profession/ circles ..
    Vancouver has taught, inspirated many other North American cities, and many globally with how to urban redevelopment / adaptive reuse, with focus on lifestyle & alternative healthy balanced life for its citizens.
    All this being said, the only drawbacks being how Van-City’s success at getting so much right can create unforeseen consequences. Vancouver ranks so high on the desirability factor ... unfortunately, in a free market/ capitalism society, the greed of real-estate speculators have driven prices sky high for entry level in property market (hence its reputation for being so expensive).
    Still, one can live a good life here and be happy without entering Vancouver’s volatile speculative realty market. By renting, one can simply enjoy less overhead & mortgage stress . One can live somewhere conveniently nearby, and enjoy all the city has to offer.
    Inner city living can perfectly carefree & car free especially with all that’s offered for free here. ...
    There’s so many multimodal transit- transportation choices / options ... in the long run, being carefree cuts a lot of extra expenses. (Something most don’t consider when criticizing/ complaining about “affordability”).
    Whether one is visiting as tourist, or work visa/ contract or arriving as full time resident ... Vancouver has enough variety in recreational activities & multicultural diverse choices, to win most people over.

    I'm so sorry for Canada. Most things about a good Canada are not true, Including clean cities - beaches, and forests. It's a big lie. The first time I arrived in Vancouver in 2018, I was shocked. As soon as I left the airport door, I saw tissue, disposable glasses, and other garbage left in the city. The further I went, the more I saw them. Before I moved to Canada, I lived in Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, Serbia, The United States, and for a short time in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Netherland, Germany, and England, but I have never seen the amount of garbage that people leave in different Canadian cities. Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec are no less than Vancouver. I'm so sorry for Canada. Canadian and Canadian Governments don't care about this tragedy. I think everything that says about Canada as a clean and powerful culture is not true. You don't need to travel to Canada to see this. Just watch some videos about walking in downtown Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec. You will find the truth. Impossible for you to walk in a Canadian city and you don't see the dark side of that. Everywhere you will see garbage. You will never see this in Europe or the United States. This amount of waste is not even seen in Malaysian-Indonesian or Thailand cities. It is impossible for you to use public transport and not see a lot of garbage at stations or on the route. You will be surprised to find a lot of garbage even in the woods - by the rivers and on the beach. I wish the Canadians woke up and had no enmity with their country. I wish the respectable people of Canada would wake up

      Seattle is so dirty and ugly. Just because it's in the US then it sounds better? lol

    • @luuchoo93
      @luuchoo93 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Vancbenson No, the architecture is actually a lot better. Vancouver buildings are literally all the same, and they pop up randomly here and there. Seattle is also richer than Vancouver by a lot, having a huge economy

    • @Vancbenson
      @Vancbenson 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@luuchoo93 I agree Seattle has all those big names, but it doesn't mean Seattle is a better city, I've been to Seattle at least a hundred times and took all my friends and relatives there, none of them would agree with you. Vancouver is a more and better city for living, how come Vancouver is always on the top 5 for living in the world, where is Seattle? Architecture wise, I don't see any Seattle buildings attractive, I'm originally from Shanghai, I know what unique architectures are. Vancouver's coal harbour and yaletown, the seawall, you can't find anything like those in Seattle. Seattle has richer economy for sure, but Vancouver has free medication and way better Asian cuisine :)
