    Australian press need to clean up their act.ive been absolutely disgusted by the behavior, honestly, they are known as the worst of the worst, and it's been bad for sometime,but they need to do something about it now.this is a sporting event, and these guys are professional athletes.     Just weird. You have guys like Courier and McEnroe asking great questions, then you have people just asking non sense. I am just curious how they come up with questions, as I assume they come somewhat prepared.

      Last year I was hearing a lot of McInroe being disrespectful. No one stopped him and he kept it up for the whole match regarding one of the players. I can't remember which match but it was a grand slam.
      Some of what was said by these commentators said things that aren't insulting, just the way Aussies talk. There's a lot of sarcasm in the culture. I understand what and how they're saying it and to an Aussie, it's not insulting. Having said that, Ben is spot on.

    I mean Tien's interview just shows how the young men is not known how to handle these kind of questions.
    It wasn't that serious or deep, the one where they disrespected the hell out of Novak was EXTREMELY RUDE!
    I am surprised Novak actually did an on-court interview after the QF match against Alcaraz, seeing as the "apology" was so fake and insincere.

    I'm glad more players are speaking out! Broadcasters need to understand that mocking players does not entertain the audience and instead turns everyone off after a great game. It generates no profit and harms viewership.

    So glad he spoke up. The way some of these journalists and commentators speak to or even about some of the players is awful! Not just in Australia, but Wimbledon journalists, in particular, can be really rude!

    Good for Shelton on calling out the disrespectful behavior of the on and off court interviews.
    Jim Courier interviewed Sinner and kept insisting over and over again for Sinner to give his comments on who will win the Novak vs Alexander match.
    Sinner stated clearly he didn't feel comfortable making such a prediction and also avoided discussing his game plan against whomever the winner would be.
    Eventually, Sinner cut off and walked away and good for him.

    Having visited Australia, I'd say that Aussies are straight to the point,, they'll say and ask you stuff that might make you feel uncomfortable,,, either take it with a pinch of salt or give them a clap back... Overall they're genuine, warm, friendly and a welcoming people 👍😂

    Yes the interviews have been rather cringe at times. But I’ll also say that match commentaries in general have also been rather lame, vapid, and useless as far as contributing anything worthwhile (usually stating the obvious). If you can’t get the likes of John McEnroe, then save some💰and don’t bother.

    I love how the project says the players are being too sensitive when they all get so upset about the smallest little things. None of the interviewing towards Ben was constructive or relevant in any way. These players have just played a 3-4 hours + match in hot weather, they shoudn't have any rude or stupid comments made towards them.

      Tien wasn't shy or awkward. The interview didn't know how to ask good questions after a grueling 5-set match that ended at 3:00am local time. It's bad interviewing practice to expect thoughtful responses from poorly articulated questions and comments.

      Aussie humour is very unique, and I think sometimes we can be a little hurtful or disrespectful without meaning to be. I think some of the comments made were just supposed to be lighthearted banter or comedic, but they were either poorly executed or just taken the wrong way. However, I do think TJ’s chant took it too far.
