The same issue using Win 10 Mail App. However, there's no X on the right side to cancel out. I tried highlighting and using the delete key which did nothing. Same problem on my Android Phone with Outlook app.
If the version of Outlook you have doesn't show an 'x' beside the incorrect email address, don't worry, just make sure the email address you want to delete is highlighted (mine was blue) and press the delete key on your keyboard.... That worked for me anyway... Hope that helps...
What version of Outlook are you using here? I have windows 10 outlook and the interface is completely different. The dropdown automatic suggestion box does not have a delete "x" after the addresses. And I cannot delete wrong addresses.I

Sorry, what? Do you mean delete the contact information? You can go to Contacts and do that! Or do you mean delete the email itself? Just delete the email.
It did not work for me. Some how the address I put in has Parentheses on each end of the address. How that happened is beyond me. Frustrating. I have to send emails to this person in about ten days.

exactly. this video example is good but does not address the issue of having only ONE wrong e-mail address as opposed to one right and one wrong.
