@@candyjaned.pineda6903 ah, i guess we found the person who isnt a Les Mis fan. Gabriela They really didn't give his talent enough acknowledgment. I mean, he sang better than 70 percent of the cast and he didn't even really get a full solo.
So true! I was so dissapointed because he was cast so well yet didn't get much screen time or any solo time, expecially in Drink With Me. Grantaire is one of my favourite characters in the book and stage musical so this was disaapointing to see. I had to practically search for Graintaire in every frame.
Gabriela That verse gave his character so much depth!
Love of mine one day you will die but I'll be close behind- I'll follow you into the dark
Me: Oh, nice cover

I think the main reason he ships them so hard is because his whole script must have gone something like " Grantaire stares longingly and lovingly at Enjolras"
"RED"
"BLACK"
"Grantaire stared longingly and lovingly at Enjolras"
But the fact that R was supposed to appear to hate E in the original script and this man corrects it.
@@mimichou777 fr he read the script, went "absolutely not, that's not like the book," and FED US
Can we please get a cover with Aaron Tveit now? Pretty please? :)
oh my gosh that would be amazing
I need that
I GOT MY FEELINGS BRUISED BY THE LEADER IN RED
DID YOU JUST...
Yes he did 😌
I wonder how many times through the years I have watched this? Must be a hundred times at least. And every. damn. time. I just... loose it? This is too precious and fantastic and George is so gorgeous and his voice is so beautiful and... I just think this is the most magical thing I've seen. No joke. I was 21 when this came and I'm turning 30 this year and I still remember the day he posted this. And I'll probably return to this until the day I die.
real; it was posted a day after my birthday and i always come back to it as a little treat every year

THAT FUCKING LIL SMILE AT THE END AS IF HE KNOWS EXACTLY HOW MUCH HE HURT US
he also does a tiny smile before he starts the part with the changed lyrics and I want to die
Who's here 2020 blowing away the pandemic gloomy mood? God I love this singing of yours, it's like waves, ocean and wind! Thank you!
Does he know how much he's hurting us? I think he knows. That smirk... HE KNOWS. But seriously, I love him so much. He's the perfect Grantaire.
He knows perfectly well how much he's hurting us. Look at his Instagram. He has E/R on there. He knows, man.
He won't tell us his tumblr. Just look for the page that's 392.5% E/R. He knows. Frost Whisker
Frost Whisker does he really have e/g on his instagram??? :o
(Gblagden) and yes. You have to scroll down, but he has it.
Wait he has a Tumblr wtf

FIRST THING I THOUGHT
This is still the best thing to ever happen to a fandom, ever.
"i got my feelings bruised" god same
I want this goddamn cover played at my funeral. Or my wedding. Or every day always for the rest of my life.
Here I was thinking "I feel like having my heart broken a bit" and went back to this, only to see the 10 year anniversary? I guess my soul knows. Thank you, George, please never take this down.
petition for george to cover barricade by stars
YES YES
toOmoide YES
YES. The first time I heard that song I was like omg it's enroljas/grantaire and then was so excited that the comments said the same thing!
George: this is wonderful! I loved how you changed the lyrics to fit the Grantaire/Enjolras relationship. Really makes me wish they'd put more of it in the movie. You and Aaron Tviet are awesome as Grand R and Enjolras. Thanks for posting this! If only you guys still had the costumes and sets, you could do a music video...
I also like your kitchen. :-) Aren't Command Hooks great???
It's spelled Tveit I believe
homeslice it has been 8 GODDAMN years and i still come back to this and YEARN on the regular.
Louis XIV can sing!

george: our hands clasps so tight....

george: i got my feelings bruised by the leader in red.....
me: *cries*
george: I heard every word he said....
me: *in between sobs* I'm just so sad...

AND NOW I'M IN THE FANDOM AND I'M STILL CRYING!!!!!!!
+Maniac Finn accurate
my life
+Harry Potter same lmao
this comment is beautiful XD
I feel like the whole Les Miserables fandom regards this cover as canon to the story... even more than some actually canon events... 😂
The best thing about this will always be that it's proof that George Blagdan will always ship ExR harder than the rest of us.
10 years of this.... thank you for making us all lose our heads ❤️💚
every once in a while I find my way back here for this legendary performance from our lord and savior of Enjoltaire 🙏
"happy" barricade day !!
The little tiny smirk before he starts the second verse....
I hope you know how loved you are for what you gave us ten years ago
8 years since the movie and still waiting for your duet with Aaron Tveit T-T
Your R is unforgetable ❤
Which movie are you guys talking about, I came after watching Vikings and became a big fan of his
@@deconstjohn1136 les misérables!
I love this so much and how much he ships Enjoltaire
It would be great if George Blagden published his version of "Drink with me" considering that it was cut in the movie.
8 years and a Grantaire tattoo later, this firmly still fucks me up. I s2g Grantaire actors just have a gift for giving Good Enjoltaire Content
happy barricade day lets cry all together
+yaylifeyay There is a life about to start when tomorrow comes!
Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise!
Will you join in our crusade, who will be strong and stand with me?
We need to start a Barricade Day.
I'm probably blind because i just now realized
'are you good for nothing fool'
'R YOU GOOD FOR NOTHING FOOL'
wahhh
I'm probably the only person who hadn't realized this up until now
Seven years later and I still absolutely love this! I feel like crying it's amazing
George you are so into the character...I mean, it's obvious that you have stopped to sink deep into R's personality... I don't know, you do it too well. I'd like to see you again as him in the BBC's series, but...that won't happen....Everytime I hear this I get too emotional. Thank you for doing this, seriously, and god bless E/R
okay so like this was so fucking iconic and lives in my head rent free
he really said fuck it im in in a motion picture movie ima use that influence to validate a couple thousand gay teenagers like literal icon
Happy 10 years, thanks for destroying my emotional state in the best way you possibly could ❤💚
