Taking the live action format, a full-fledged soundtrack that has real meaningful implementation into the game and marrying all those things together into this work of passion is astounding. Came to say the same thing. Cross-media is nothing new in games, we have had expanded universe stories for years. What's unique about Remedy is that they smash their cross-media together, into one experience. There is SO MUCH in Alan Wake 2. So much character, so much story, so many ways of telling said story. They are an amazing studio

Its confirmed they're making new old gods of Asgard songs. From what they showed in one video, they filmed some stuff as them, so maybe either a music video will be released later, or maybe that stuff will be in the game itself in a way.

Notice how her voice changes when she sings - anxious designs of the darkest kind. It sounds like darkness possesses her. Brilliant idea to implement it into this song.
took me 6 minutes to realise i had to press continue for the cutscene to go away after this song. It felt like a second though, this song had completely mesmerized me

Oh wow I love this! The chapter ending songs were such an iconic part of the original and I can’t wait to see how the sequel handles them and music in general.
God the original alan wake saved my life when i was kid; I got it at a time in my life where I was just a mess and I remember spending weeks upon weeks playing it over and over again because of how strongly I related to the Dark // Light elements and how much I wanted to learn and know every bit of story; and it was so important to me that ive spent every year since replaying it- every october i boot up alan wake and replay it because its such a special and important game to me. i've been waiting 13 years for the remake; and im so excited and proud to see how good it looks and this song really sets such a wonderful mood, i truly can not wait for the 27th to be able to play through more of alans story and have another game thats so special in my heart

Sam Lake is a fucking genius Period, he made my dreams bigger and more complex, he taught me how to embrace darkness and what a good narrative really is, wow wow, masterpiece.
One of my favorite things in the first game was just sitting in my room in the dark listening to the songs after an episode ended and just taking in the vibes and processing what happened. Glad to see that will be coming back better than ever. Just another sign that this game has everything that made the first one good.

Man what a game. Got 23 hours playtime and I know I still have a lot left. Been taking my time exploring every nook and cranny, and just enjoying the heck out of it. One of those game you start playing and completely loose track of time you're enjoying it so much.

Just bought this absolute masterpiece of a game (yes I am more than confident it is a masterpiece after only a few hours into it) and had this playing. My jaw dropped onto the table. I think I need a new jaw because this happened a few times now after pressing "start a new game". The symbiosis between book, film and game is incredible and all of it is interconnected between Remedy's franchises. I'm blown away.
