Definetely this is an excellent art. Ypu have to have a knowledge about a structure of a huge tree. It should be draw in your mind and make the branches and the trunk grow accrordingly. You have to cut, bind and bend the parts according to that drawing. Its a kind of a meditation since you have to concentrate and your mind will be then at a one point as we experiencing ekaggatha. As per in Abhidhamma, you can observe well the cetasika "manasikara" works out.
His explanations can be accepted as true. Once I bought a Bodhi finished by him long ago (about 10 years old tree at his collection) to be donated to a very small "aramaya" where there is no space to grow a normal Bodhi Tree. The "silmatha" who has that still meditate under that tree and also a Nuga tree to a temple where there's no space to grow such plant. Banyan tree reminds us certain instances of 'Life of Buddha'.
HE IS DOING AN AMAZING WORK WHICH HAS NOT RECOGNIZED BY THE SOCIETY MUCH, AS YET.......
