Hey Tom, first off I hope all is well. Great comparison between the two devices. The DJI pocket is a great run and gun device alright where a lot people can use it. The Sony is a beautiful camera and the fact you can change out the lens is great. P.s thanks for the lens choices you told me about. Have a good Christmas to you and your family. Michael from Emerald Isle . Also have you changed any settings in either photos/ shooting video from version 1 and the mark 2 ?
The image of the a6400 and the zve10 are very similar as far as I’m aware, except the a6400 has ibis and a view finder, the zve10 has the newer color science and better autofocus (i think that’s the main difference) The zve10ii is a whole different sensor and has a lot more features and benifits. Mainly 10bit video, 4k60, new menus, better colors, larger battery etc. But they may not be the kind of upgrades you’d need based on the price difference. Depends on what you need
@@thomasjmcclureSony a6400 does not have IBIS. I would pick up the ZV-E10II if mechanical shutter is not needed. a6400 is thought very option and has better build quality compared to ZV line up cameras.
@@thomasjmcclure the a6400 doesn’t have ibis, it’s only on a6600 and a6700 The other big difference between the a6400 and the zv series is the user experience (a6400 has a more « professional » layout)
I have a video planned discussing this coming out soon. The main thing is I wasn’t contracted to make it, not obligated to. If i didn’t think it was worth making, I wouldn’t have. (Which has happened a lot with equipment sent to me. I’ve either returned it or just not made a video if i don’t recommend it. Video coming soon)
I just got a new lens for wide shots on the sony ZVE10. I love the look but I'm now interested in a Pocket camera like that one when I don't feel like taking a backpack with me.
We have a little getaway coming up soon, and I really don’t wanna lug around camera gear, I find that’s where this thing is perfect! Plus I wanna see if it’s possible to get a “cinematic” sequence using it lol
I had the OP3 and I’m selling it now. I’m now very interested in the Sony, but I’m not sure because the gimbal, the pocket size, and the microphones are so incredible. 😢😢😢
Do think the osmo pocket 3 could be used to get cinematic shots that are "hard" to achieve? Say inside a car, or a bike POV shot or getting the camera in small places. Would I be able to match one image taken from the pocket 3 with one taken from the zve10?
You can get great shots with it for sure! But it’s definitely limited, but yeah I think Cam Mackie has done some cool stuff with it rigged to a car recently

@@APB9002 Thats right! forgot about that lol, been so long since ive used those ones
I’ve also seen the pocket 3 used a lot with car video content. Easy to mount and such
Yeah I really wanna get a car mount for it, there’s some pretty cool ones out there!
They sent you the product, and asked you to make the comparison video. How is that not sponsored?

Do it, the sony is on a whole another level with picture quality. Especially when using fast aperture lenses

Smallrig just released a new Cage for a6700, a HawkLock, would you compare it with the F38? No one I'm YT has compared both ecosystems
If I can get my hands on them then yeah sure! Probably not something I can sink my own money into at the moment for a video though
Did I win the free camera giveaway?
