I cry every time I hear this song, whether it's the Trent Reznor original, the Johnny Cash remake, or this beautiful cello rendition.. It's such an emotional, rather personal song written by someone who knows there's a lot of turmoil on the inside.. Everyone wants to be loved, but some of us feel we're unlovable. I guess I just really miss my dead girlfriend, who took every part of me to the grave with her and this song speaks to me on so many levels, even without the lyrics.
These guys are amazing. I am so happy that instruments like these are being noticed for their beauty. Most people in our generation have forgotten how real music sounds.... This put me to tears. Just Amazing.

This has always been one of my favorite NIN tracks. This actually hits me much harder emotionally than the original, though I understand that the distortion effects and grittiness of the original were intentional to capture the emotional state Reznor was going for... This picks out the purity of the melody underneath and funnels it directly where it hurts... It's a good Hurt though.
