The Ancient Secrets Of A Yogi's Mind

  • Freeing the mind of all support one should not allow any thought to arise. Then O gazelle-eyed Goddess, the state of Bhairava will be attained when the (individual) self has merged in the Absolute Self.
    Vijñāna Bhairava Tantra - 108
Introduction - The Sphere of Reality
Reality in its simplest form can be seen as a sphere or as an egg. This spherical model can be conceptually divided into two halves: the upper hemisphere and the lower hemisphere. The upper hemisphere is the most subtle. It contains the consciousness, the being, the Supersoul. And the lower hemisphere is the most visible - the physical body, along with prana. The two hemispheres are interconnected by a plane, which is the mind.
    What is Mind
What is mind? It is a complex and multifaceted concept that has been the subject of study and debate among philosophers, scientists, and spiritual thinkers for centuries. One way to understand the mind is to consider it a part which has been given to you. It is not yours. The mind is an accumulation, borrowed from various sources - from the parents, from the neighbors, from the teachers, from the society, from the social media, from the libraries. Its hunger is insatiable, continuously absorbing all kinds of information, even contradictory ones, which may lead to tensions and internal conflicts. For instance, if one is born into a Christian family, they might believe from childhood that the Earth is 6000 years old as stated in the Bible. However, upon learning in school that the Earth is actually 4.5 billion years old, both pieces of information are stored in the mind, causing conflict and anxiety and inner turmoil. And it is impossible for one to decide which way to go; one is pulled apart in all directions. If somehow he can maintain his balance, this is normal insanity. Insanity is there, but it is just the same as everybody else’s.
    Sane and Insane
Carl Gustav Jung, the father of analytical psychology remarks, “show me a sane man and I will cure him for you”. Whenever somebody goes beyond the boundary of normal humanity, he is considered insane. If an individual manages to contain their inner turmoil without causing societal disruption or distress to others, they are deemed sane.
In contrast, Eastern psychology asserts that only a yogi can be considered truly sane. Insanity, whether expressed or unexpressed, is still insanity. How, then, does the mind of a yogi operate?

I love videos like this. I’m at 15 months SR. I practice yoga, meditation, and pranayama daily. Once you begin on this path you can never turn back. Nothing in the world satisfies you the same. Pleasures seem cheap and temporary and leave you feeling hollow. There’s nothing like the bliss of the soul it’s pure ecstasy:)

@@mu.108Yes that’s what the “SR” stands for in my comment. For meditation with eyes closed I focus only on the third eye and let my thoughts gradually disappear. I then try to stay in the space of pure awareness no thoughts. That’s where the magic happens.

Okay for instance I've been on a streak just a couple hours ago before I relepsed it was a 1 day and 8 hour streak but I relapsed a couple hours ago, I wasn't like. Disappointed and feel guilty , ofc I do if you know what I mean, but I didn't let it get to my head and feel down, like right now I'm cooling, I told my self it's time to be serious again, I feel happy right now, I made all my decisions and I dealt with the outcome, anyways....since I relapsed, did I lose all my Energy? I only jacked off twice, one without porn, and one with, did I close my third eye? Will I no longer be able to manifest? Of course I'm not at my peak but did I lose everything in my Semen? Or do I still have Energy left and it's all in my head.

But what about savikalpa samadhi, where your object is not the atman? Mind has to be there to perceive it, a single pointed mind, but definitely not no mind. In my experience if you exist and you are aware about it, its because you have a functioning mind. You cannot exist if your mind cease to exist, example death.

If the observer and the observed become one, what is there to perceive? It’s non-dual.
If there is perception, then it’s dual, there is a perceiver and an object of perception, but that cannot be the case in your definition of Samadhi.
