  • We were lucky enough to get a private tour of a gentlemen's personal classic car motorcycle collection. I see him as the Jay Leno of Lithuania! We then went to Silvija's home town airport where they take people skydiving from an Antonov aircraft which is the largest biplane aircraft in the world.
Then we went to Grūtas Park where we saw a brown bear and soviet union statues.

Thank you Jonas and Silvji for the insight regarding the people and past history of Lithuania. I had friends from Lithuania.. As an old barnstormer, commercial pilot, skydiving instructor, parachute rigger with lots of taildragger time etc. etc., you brought back a lot of memories. I am enjoying your adventures. It seems I ran a parallel life style like you two are living now, back in the 50'and 60's. Congratulations on finding your life partnership and enjoy every minute. Richard in Az.

Thanks for the tour, Jonas & Silvija - both videos were great! Loved the drone footage at the end - first time I've really got a good look at the city. The hills there are alot like Worcester, MA, where my great-grandmother lived for many years after leaving Lithuania. Wish we had TH-cam back when she, and my grandmother were still alive. They both would have loved it! I have my great-grandmother's wedding picture on the wall here, dated the summer of 1915. 😎

Cool stuff, Jonas! Would love a slowed down interview ep with Silvija about the current state of Lithuanian-Russian relations and internal politics with Russian residents. Find a nice old-town café and turn on the cam. Oh, and the island castle you showed us from the drone -- Trakai -- go there!
How's your Lithuanian coming along? Just read up about it on Wikipedia -- fascinating because it's the closest to proto-Indo-European -- the language from which most western languages come. You're going back to the roots! Tip: A significant other can help you practice a language, but relationships generally can't survive the teacher-student relationship of language instruction. Have someone else do the heavy lifting of teaching you Lithuanian, then practice with S. You got this.

Jonas, this is now one of my favorite videos.
Convey to Silvia that I do hope that the Lithuanian's will continue to preserve the statues of the dark ages of Communist history to continuously remind future generations of the atrocities committed by these villains.
Our citizens of the United States must also retain reminders of the dark ages of our country's history, and continue to display statues and monuments of our past, with placards denoting their deeds, be it positive or negative.
    Just my 2¢ worth.
Blue skies and fair winds to you brother.

If you are ever in the Hood River Oregon area you must go see the WAAAM museum, 100s of planes and cars. Incredible collection of so many planes. Google it.

I second that, and almost all the cars, planes, motorcycles, are operational, and still get regular exercise. That place, and the Henry ford Museum in Michigan, two of the best museums ever for gearheads.

Cool man. When we're in Eastern Europe visiting my wife's family, sometimes she forgets she's translating and tells me what someone just said in her language. Anyway my wife was watching your VLOG with me, looking at those cars saying, "my dad had one of those and one of those,.." etc.

Hi, I am a subscriber from Argentina. Very good and varied posts, especially bush pilots and environments. Please try to have the camera more stable because traveling is too fast and dizzy. The shots made with the drone are magnificent in general. Thanks for everything

I recognize that motorcycle. Later 50’s Austrian PUCH. Got one in my stable! Unheard of over here in Canada (and U.S.) albeit you could buy them from Sears Roebuck in the day by catalogue, lol!
