Mine is around 9 years old now. Just bought a new battery from eBay, replaced the fan (which has pretty much been faulty since new) and upgraded the RAM from 8GB, to 16GB. Cost wise, it's around £34. Absolute bargain. It's given it a new lease of life for peanuts. Can't argue with that!
thanks for the video. i was trying to open mine and I was stuck! Turns out there are two screws covered by that rubber bit near the hinges. Thanks to your video for showing that part!
Thanks, good help. Had vibrations/noise from fan. Did not manage to totally remove noise. Suspects bad fan bearings. This on a new laptop. Cheap stuff, you get what you pay for.
@@NotebookCenterTV it's okay. I found out I ripped the ribbon off the connection for the power button board. Just bought a new one recently to replace it and it now works again! :)

I had same problem
Use oil to lubricate the fan's bearing. Any car engine oil will do.
Thank you for this video. Fan started making an awful noise: disassembled, sprayed some WD40, now it’s as silent as new
thank you.
Thx

What is the name of this tool
Which is in blue colour
It is called a Spudger. You can buy them on Amazon. It is basically a plastic pry tool. Here is an amazon link. amzn.to/3fbOayS
@SlimyKlerburt You probably can. What are you trying to pry apart? Sometimes after the seal is broken, you can simply use your fingernails.
Good video but no sound. The no sound sucks.
This laptop is ridiculous to disassemble. They had to hide two screws by the screen. Now my laptop wont boot
Sorry to hear that :(
