the "im in love with my best friend" post actually has a few more updates that the dates went really well and their families were really happy for them
Sandi Toksvig of British TV: "What's the difference between a c******s and a golf ball? Most men would happily spend 20 minutes looking for a golf ball." I was reminded of this joke as soon as Courtney said that.
53:48 This sounds like a nonconsensual humiliation kink. I've heard of similar encounters. I heard one where the guy would go to a bar and try to hook up with a random girl while his girlfriend sat across the bar and watched. Once they started hitting it off the girlfriend would walk over and confront the girl and even rough her up a little while reclaiming her man. He would watch and enjoy his girlfriend humiliating the poor girl he had just been flirting with. Then they would leave and go have sex, having been turned on by the power dynamic and humiliating the girl. It's truly disgusting. OP said she didn't even know this other girl existed, yet she was there eating dinner with him. And OP wasn't invited to dinner, just after dinner...because she wasn't the date, she was the entertainment. It could have started with the girl reading over his shoulder while they were messaging online. Maybe playing games like, "How long can you keep her in the conversation while I'm distracting you without her figuring it out?" Yuck. It seems like meeting face to face was just the next level of this little game. They started out talking normally with her to pull her in, but then started doing inappropriate things in front of her to see how long they could get away with it without her leaving. If he hadn't been throwing things at her I might just think they were inconsiderate and not self aware, but throwing things seems like a deliberate way of oddly involving her to keep her from leaving. Then, they go to the girl's place, where it continued on an even higher level. The goal was to see how long they could keep her from leaving while working each other up over humiliating her. They may have even hoped she would stay while they had sex in front of her? Humiliation kinks are very common and totally fine as long as it's consensual. Unfortunately, some people find it more exciting if the humiliated party is confused and helpless. They think that it's not real humiliation if it's consented to. These people are predators as far as I'm concerned. I'm completely disgusted. This experience sounds traumatizing. I hope OP is able to talk to someone irl and work thru it. No one deserves to be treated this way.
i wouldnt have been able to think up a way to explain that story so this seems like a pretty plausible explanation. its just so disgusting to take advantage of someone like that and use them as your little plaything while they are none the wiser. sick people.
This was unexpectedly disgusting, but it makes complete sense. It sounds terrifying, honestly. A great reminder to always he sure of someone's intentions before entering their home.
In the spirit if that last story, I think I'd really love an entire episode dedicated to unreliable narrators that get called out. Read the posts, then try and figure out what's missing or what detail was left out-- like a detective game
Honestly if I were that person and they told me they were going to upgrade anyways I'd be like ok then I'm not gonna reimburse you for it because you were already planning on spending the $2700 for a new one so you didn't really lose anything
i think he wasnt worried bc the laptop ended up fine and also anthony seems like the type to be pretty chill and understanding. his reaction was more shocked than upset
Well its different because its not like a super corporate transactional relationship between employee and boss, everyone seems to know each other well on this channel so even if it did break I don't think Padilla would've had a huge reaction
Picturing serious side convo w two pumpkins passive aggressive whisper yelling in the back room of a house that a party is happening in the living room
The pumpkin story is so sad to me because she literally had friends that knew and didnt tell her. Imagine realizing your friends actively watching you be betrayed, this hurts.
Also didnt she say they were like 19 and 20?? I thought at first that the best friend and other friends were being immature but this is way more serious
The only person that actually told her without telling her was the “girl best friend” She basically said “your bf is a communal munch and the town knows” without explicitly saying that.
I love that Courtney and Shayne don't need to censor themselves anymore about their relationship when talking about relationships, friendships, living together with partner etc, like all those topics.

That was fucking hilarious. Just when you think you're sorted here comes Courtney or Angelina from freeken left field and bam, out at the plate. Love it.
i love how at 15:12 courtney is able to just causally bring up that they’re a couple 😭 i’m glad they’re comfortable enough to do that without it needed to be a big thing
People like this are the reason they didn’t want to let people know. These parasocial comments on every video with one or both of them in it, are getting out of control. Can we just enjoy the content?
@@evantroymusici’m just glad they’re able to bring it up causally without it needing to be a big deal. they both expressed they wanted this in their recent podcast. it’s not parasocial when it’s something they both expressed they wanted publicly. if you have a problem you can ignore it and move on.
So we all agree, the million dollar idea here is SmoshPit Theater: Reddit Stories, right? Where the cast dramatically acts out these stories? That last one would be PERFECT
That story of the girl flying out to a city to see her friend literally sounded like a stress dream. I can't believe that actually happened to someone, I feel like I'd wake up like halfway into that and be relieved it was only a dream
Had a platonic friend (who had asked for more and been told no pretty firmly) insist on being my date to senior ball. He had been my date to my junior prom so I finally gave in and thought it would be ok. Huge mistake. He was completely obnoxious during dinner-you could tell nobody was enjoying his company-he spilled his drink and then claimed mine for himself, and then he threw a dinner role across the room. It was awful and a definite friendship killer. I told him how humiliated I was by his behavior and he blamed me for “hinting” that I wanted to ask him when I told him I was planning to go stag. I didn’t speak to him for over ten years when he suddenly friended me on Facebook. I accepted out of curiosity. First thing he says to me is that if I get upset with him again I should just ghost him. Seriously, dude? You think we’re picking up where we left off? You think that’s the best way to reconnect? Delusional.
There's a point in the story about the man who wasn't good at sex that really caught me. He kept saying, "especially Kaylee" like he cared about her opinion of him even more so than what others thought. I think he was ultimately hurt that his image might have been damaged in HER eyes and refused to admit he has a crush on his girlfriend's friend.
"she calls me abusive and controlling even though she dates exclusively assholes" obvious deflection. not only did he bring up something unrelated, he also never denied the fact that he's abusive. hugeee red flag
I'm definitely tearing up over the best buds to couple arc with the trans woman - not only the story itself, but their reactions to it. Obviously I knew Smosh was trans friendly, but it’s just plain lovely to see it treated so normally.
Shayne having to pause during the second story's update at the pregnancy reveal and the immediate simultaneous "NOOOO!" from Anthony and Courtney sent me
"I'm in love with my best friend of 24 years" has probably got me the most excited for an update out of every smosh reddit video/post I've seen, I started audibly yelling 😂😂
I was basically cheering it on like it was sport. In fact if my team don't get into Europe the fact that their love has blossomed will keep me going until next season
it always pisses me off when cheaters say "I never meant to hurt you" because if they GENUINELY didn't mean to hurt you, they would've never gone behind their partner's back and betray their trust in an extremely vile way
My theory, after personal experience dealing with them, is that most truly don’t “mean to hurt” their significant other - they’re just too selfish or immature to think about what their partner would experience. They don’t have the capacity for that empathy, or they delude themselves into an alternate reality where they’ll never be found out or their partner secretly wants an open relationship etc. Some don’t even think about the consequences, and some just “ostrich” and hope the consequences never come. I’m sure there are some malicious cheaters out there, but the ones I’ve dealt with primarily seem to be centered in their own needs, wants, and reality.
@@isetmfriendsofire ah, that makes more sense now! I have autism so I have a really hard time understanding sarcasm or anything said not genuinely so I always though people who said that were being serious
She was trying to get to her car in order to leave, I believe. But yes, absolutely if she was already in her car and just drove around him. Massive restraint.
If he would have made it impossible for her to leave the property she could call the police. It is illegal to prevent someone from leaving any property
They said how they prefer to keep it that way so neither of them get lost to the relationship and are just referred to as a couple. They very much still want their individual selves to be them on screen.
@@Fanthomas1742Nothing, which is why they told everyone already. That doesn’t mean they aren’t also each other’s best friend. That’s literally how their relationship started.

"I'm in love with my best friend of 24 years" had me crying the entire time. I'm trans and for some reason that hit so much harder then I thought it would. Tears of joy/content/pride to be clear
there are actually more updates to that post, and all are in a master post by the original op (so idk why there's a best of reddit updates post that doesn't contain all the updates). Op's username is u/TheForeverThrowaway if you want to read the entire thing, but to sum things up: they had an amazing date, their parents were super happy for them (they weren't surprised it happened), and they've been getting a bunch of "when's the wedding" jokes from their families. They went on another date, and the last update just stated that we were going to love what happened; but we never actually found out what it was as there weren't any more updates. I've decided to interpret the silence as them being too busy being happily in love to give us an update.
the guy who was called abusive and controlling pulling out an ultimatum to his girlfriend when she was crying about a very stressful situation is really something
@@violetpinkpandawould still say the same thing if a man was marrying a woman he thinks she’s incredibly fugly? Would you still think she has to stay with someone that thinks she’s fugly because he’s “seeing past the flaws”?
@@MrDoverfield the flaw in question is being bad in bed, and presumably when getting married they have decided to only ever have sex with someone who is bad at it because they love them so much. I don’t think looks were mentioned in the story at all
That last one, I already got a strong sense from the way it was written that he was leaving out huge details and was, in fact, a controlling AH causing problems. The friend responding honestly confirmed what I was suspecting. Glad the GF is out, I hope she can heal and find better relationships, because it sounds like she struggles with this. Also poor BFF, that girl's been through the ringer.
The falling in love with my best friend story made me cry. The way OP talks about her is so so beautiful, it really shows both the magic of trans joy and the different kinds of love that two people can experience
For the ice-throwing dude, I may have watched too many rom-coms, but it felt to me like he was trying to make her jealous. He may have liked her as more than a friend, but didn’t want to make the first move until he knew how she felt, so he concocted all these situations to force a reaction out of her. He didn’t contact her after she flew all the way to his city ‘cause he wanted HER to contact him first. And when she finally did, he roped another girl into his scheme to make her jealous that his attention wasn’t on her. Then I think he kept prolonging the situation ‘cause he wasn’t getting the response from her that he wanted. And when she went home without any further interactions, he was probably too embarrassed to admit that he got “rejected” by her, so he just decided to cut her off completely.
When you put it that way it almost makes sense except he's a 33 y/o dude with the emotional intelligence and resilience of an 8 y/o, and/or a literal psychopath who simply doesn't give a shit about humiliating his former friend...
The guy is probably an "Alpha" and a Tate fan if he ignored her for that long, made up weird mating ritual bs, then flirted with another woman to try to make her see he was a "real man" and a good catch. The dismissal after the rejection fits too. Glad she got away
The two of them getting so excited and squealing and gasping on the couch when Shayne said there’s an update is absolutely hilarious😂 What a great combo of listeners today
the guy who called off his engagement and uprooted his entire life is WILD because the way he described what kylie told him, it wasn't even that she was actively complaining about their sex life. it sounded like, like the guy, the friends were wheedling for her to say anything bad about him, like "come on, he's GOT to have some kind of flaw" and she settled for "well i guess he's not the best at sex but we ball because i love him for everything" like ??? be serious
It seems like the whole time she never said it as a serious complaint and she was always joking. I mean I guess it could've been one of those not-really-a-joke jokes, but damn, to leave after a pretty small mistake your partner made? I can't imagine
And Jesus sex is not the entirety of a relationship! Guys...real talk...at some point in her life, your girl, has had better and/or bigger than you. It might have a motor and a nickname and live in her nightstand, but the same way she's not always gonna tug it just right, sometimes y'all aren't focused on the right things. THAT'S FINE. Totally normal! But dropping a nuke on your life and running away to another state because, perhaps, you're too focused on you getting off vs both of you feeling satisfied, is not what a sane person does! I was expecting Kylie to be after him the way he was so focused on her. To say, "Tell me something so I can change! I swear I won't get upset!" and harass them about it until they say something minor (that is fixable btw), and then immediately get so bent out of shape that not only do you destroy your relationship, but also check out of the whole state, is like an 8 yr old kicking over the sandcastle and running home crying because he's not "winning."
Did I once have the best lasagna of my life, with a taste that sent my taste buds straight to heaven? Yes! Do I now expect every lasagna to be that good for the rest of my life? No. Can I only marry a husband that cooks a lasagna as good as that one? No! I don't see an issue with what the fiancé told to her friends, it's just girl talk. But well yeah, the friend really shouldn't have told him
the third story is so adorable what 😭😭😭 it doesn't sound like he's fetishing her at all, he's genuinely in love with her for being her TRUE SELF and is attracted to her bc she's happy and confident in herself... my heart 💜
yeah, it baffles me that we've had this series for more than a year now, maybe two, but Smosh still hasn't provided merch relating to the show. even Let's Do This had merch before it concluded.
Imagine destorying your engagement, your friendship, other people's friendship, your family relationship, and your job, just because someone said you're not that great at sex. This guy is insane.
Yea he’s definitely WAY to insecure. At first I was like "that’s kinda mean" talking about the wife, but that is so normal for girlfriends (women who are friends) to talk about their bf and husband’s performance. The guy is insanely insecure and needs help. Also that is something you can fix and should definitely talk about as partners, if your not satisfied then talk about it
Okay yes but if you’ve been having sex for 5 years and never told your partner about it, and you hear it from one of her friends who just so happens to be one of his best friends, I can see why he got upset. That is private and there should’ve been a conversation about it, but not canceling the engagement altogether
It sounds like he has feelings for his fiancé’s friend. He was looking for a reason to leave Amy. And he’s more embarrassed about it because his fiancé Amy told Haylee (the girl he actually wants to be with) about their sex lives.
@@Felix_hobi I don't like the whole "it's normal to talk about your partners performance" thing. There may be some couples okay with that but it's conversation first, not a given expectation that that'll just happen. It's invasive and embarrassing. Not enough to call off the wedding but still okay to be initially upset
For the story about the guy with the ice-cubes: I think that with the rise in awareness of gaslighting (which is, of course, a good thing to be aware of) we have forgotten it's grandaddy, the og (on the internet at least) toxic "get anyone you want to fall for you" sleezy move: negging. For anyone needing a refresher, negging is a "strategy" that was mainly popularized by "pick-up artists" in the mid~late 2000s to early 2010s, and consisted of basically mixing gaslighting with as much physical harassment as you could manage to get away with. It's a truly disgusting practice that has so many weird and absolutely gross methods for men to use on people they are...interested in, be that complete strangers or those they know, and I think that's exactly what that guy was doing. Having his friend visit but then inviting this other girl and only paying attention to her and not his friend who traveled for him, but still buying her drinks and giving minimal acknowledgement whenever she seemed fed up with his treatment, and then escalating to throwing stuff at her every so often to see how much sh!t she would tolerate....yeah, that sounds EXACTLY like negging to me. What an absolute POS that guy.
Had a senior (I was a sophomore at the time) constantly harassing me when we would see one another (we were both in marching band and had some of the same friends). I finally had enough one day at lunch and went off on him. "What the hell is your problem? What have I ever done to you?" I learned later he liked me. I laugh at how mature I thought I was back then (I'm 43 now) but I said something to our mutual friends about how we aren't elementary school kids. If he liked me, he should have just told me. The stupidest thing? The year before I had a major crush on him. But then he acted like such a jerk to me, it was almost instant dislike.
@@amandabriscoe6578I feel like men heard so much about how they should be rude to their crushes so that they will at least acknowledge them that they just think that it’s normal for some reason. Also some guys think that women like awful men like that too.
That's not what negging or gaslighting are. Negging is making negative comments or backhanded compliments to attack the self esteem of someone. Gaslighting is when you try to make someone doubt their own reasoning or memory by misrepresenting past events.
@@broobit7540Yeah.. Negging is tearing someone down and make them doubt themselves while also attempting to make them desperate for your attention. Like dudes being like "Wow you'd be hot if you lost a couple pounds" or "You're prettier when you don't try so hard" etc those aren't even good examples but once you see it you'll never unsee it lol
That last story was super upsetting for me because one of the number one signs of abuse that I've seen with my friends is when their partner tries to isolate them from the people who care about them and will step in if they see abuse happening.
exactly! right after Shayne read the story my immediate thought was that op was a controlling and manipulative partner. the update from the friend was fs helpful and clarifying. but the signs were all there in the original post. trying to make the best friend out to be the villain so he can play the hero that his girlfriend always comes running to. so gross
Can I just say how cute it is that Shayne kind of shyly smiled when Courtney mentioned them being in a Corpse Bride couples costume?? They're too cute!
I think because Courtney was the one who had to deal with stalkers that he's letting them do all the talking about the relationship. He's probably glad that she feels safe enough to talk about it
with the sexually insecure dude, she likely didn't communicate because when she finally did, he blew up, broke the engagement and is moving to a different state. there is no doubt that he had overblown reactions to any discussion or criticism she would have had in the past, so she probably just gave up on trying to communicate with him.
@@syafiq271thats the whole deal. their relationship wasnt stable enough to have open conversations about their sex life. that means they probably also hadnt had any conversations setting boundaries about what is appropriate to share with friends. so when she found herself frustrated and didnt feel comfortable going to her partner (probably because she knew he would have an adverse reaction and wanted to avoid that) she resorted to talking to her friends as a way to vent because she had no one else to go to. they were obviously lacking in communication if he was constantly feeling the need to get info from her friends rather than from his partner directly.
@@nicoledlugopolski4621 and that's the folly of it all. i would rather speak to my wife risking a fight with a hope of sorting it out than airing my laundry to other people where nothing will change. the point is people tend to shit on the guy when the fault is equally on her part too.
Kinda feels like a chicken or the egg thing. Was he reacting poorly because of her lack of communication towards him, but then finding out she was talking about it with friends. Or did she keep it secret from him because he's been like this before. I don't think it's fair to jump to deep into either assumption. But either way, it's weird that it's noteworthy enough to mention to friends, but not your partner. But also that with the mix of trust and communication issues, that these people were even engaged, let alone together.

Dont get me wrong, the guys insecurity makes me sad, but I'd be a lying-ass mf if I said there wasn't a fraction of me that thinks "wow, you see me as enough of a man to be a gay mans side piece?!" As I tuck my hair behind my ear and blush. Its kind of gender euphoric.
I'm a trans guy and ever since I transitioned, everyone including friends feel like I have gained so much more happiness and confidence, back when I was a "woman" I struggled so much with friendships and romance, meeting people and such. Now people can sense the difference, my skin isn't as soft (I have so much acne and scars from HRT), my body isn't as feminine (I built muscle and had surgery) and I seem to be drawing so much positive attention from strangers and old friends. Even though I wasn't the young skinny feminine girl anymore, people love me for me now.
The post about the guy falling for his friend gave me the most uncontrollable involuntary reactions of joy. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so much happiness for people I don’t know.

i feel like it didn't really matter if she was obviously going for pumpkin to steal the spotlight/BF. also she didn't deny it and said it was "just a joke" or like "just a group costume" after literally just lying about it. soooo yeah it was fked up regardless of how it looked. wild update though.

I bet he's a sucker for romcoms. Honestly I think he made this special story more awesome for lots of people!
Was the guy in that 5th story attempting the "Mystery Method"? Like that old pickup artist from the like early 00s??? I had a brief phase where I wanted to understand why so many guys become incels in middle school and fell down the rabbit hole to those guys and literally the method works almost exactly the same 1. Have a "lesser value" woman to constantly flirt with you in front of your "target" 2. lower the targets self-esteem by ignoring them and literally treating them like trash (I believe in his book he actually brings up throwing things at "the target") 3. give the "target" things to anchor her to you even as you treat her like shit, Like giving her your hat to hold onto or buying her drinks before she can politely leave 4.take "target" to a secondary location alone (This is where his method really confuses me though like, why take her to the fuck buddies house?) 5. When her self-esteem is low enough you get the sex (I hope it goes without saying that this is a load of horse shit) I don't blame people for not catching this but I just wanted to see if I was the only one to think this was a little familiar
HOLY FUCK boosting this bc i think you might be right. That would explain him just running away when she mentioned having a date with someone else in the city, that part wasn't in his handbook and he didn't know what to do.
I saw someone else mention this, but with your rundown, it seems even more accurate. With the current rise in "alpha male" content, it's far from unlikely that he learned to do this on some podcast.
My theory on the weird visit story: dude was interested when the visit/flight/etc was arranged. In between, the romantic possibility with this other woman opened up, and he wanted to pursue that too. But he also didn’t want to just own up to the OP about what had happened because he was maybe thinking they could still hook up if he finessed things right - or maybe if things didn’t work out with local girl. So he tried to bluff it out without telling either of the women, and in doing so, royally screwed up his relationship with OP and probably freaked out local girl as well, which is why he called OP weird and blocked her. Local Girl was probably watching over his shoulder.
Honestly, this makes the most sense of any comment I've seen so far. My best guess was also that he had initially been interested in having OP visit but then changed his mind and was being distant as a result of that. I just couldn't figure out why!
My thought is that he was high as a kite. They both were, I bet. The giggling with each other and throwing things screams “high” to me. Would also kinda fit with your theory too. Maybe he got high because he was anxious about everything, overdid it, and thus made an idiot of himself.
I just don’t understand why he invited the local girl at all because she obviously lives there so he could see her any other weekend/day. If he wasn’t sure about things that still doesn’t make sense to me. Maybe his brain is just messed up! Lmao

I accepted out of curiosity. it always pisses me off when cheaters say "I never meant to hurt you" because if they GENUINELY didn't mean to hurt you, they would've never gone behind their partner's back and betray their trust in an extremely vile way
My theory, after personal experience dealing with them, is that most truly don’t “mean to hurt” their significant other - they’re just too selfish or immature to think about what their partner would experience.

Literally the cutest shit ever 🥹🏳️⚧️❤️❤️❤️

Although I'm biased, I've been dating my best friend for 7 years lol so that whole "trope" is my favorite
the guy who called off his engagement and uprooted his entire life is WILD because the way he described what kylie told him, it wasn't even that she was actively complaining about their sex life. it sounded like, like the guy, the friends were wheedling for her to say anything bad about him, like "come on, he's GOT to have some kind of flaw" and she settled for "well i guess he's not the best at sex but we ball because i love him for everything" like ??? be serious
It seems like the whole time she never said it as a serious complaint and she was always joking. I mean I guess it could've been one of those not-really-a-joke jokes, but damn, to leave after a pretty small mistake your partner made? I can't imagine
The guy who blew up his engagement seemed more concerned about Kylie thinking he’s bad in bed than he did about his partner being unsatisfied.
For me, it seriously seemed like a joke, like "Well, it's not the BEST sex I've ever had" type of thing
But well yeah, the friend really shouldn't have told him
the third story is so adorable what 😭😭😭 it doesn't sound like he's fetishing her at all, he's genuinely in love with her for being her TRUE SELF and is attracted to her bc she's happy and confident in herself... my heart 💜

Imagine destorying your engagement, your friendship, other people's friendship, your family relationship, and your job, just because someone said you're not that great at sex. This guy is insane.
I can't believe they made it to 6 years
Yea he’s definitely WAY to insecure.
For the story about the guy with the ice-cubes:
I think that with the rise in awareness of gaslighting (which is, of course, a good thing to be aware of) we have forgotten it's grandaddy, the og (on the internet at least) toxic "get anyone you want to fall for you" sleezy move: negging.
What have I ever done to you?"
I learned later he liked me.
I’ve never heard of that, but that is definitely what was happening.
@@broobit7540Yeah.. Negging is tearing someone down and make them doubt themselves while also attempting to make them desperate for your attention. Sometimes it juat feels like that ;-;
Okay imagining those to girls arguing in pumpkin costumes had me ON THE FLOOR that was so funny 😭
That last story was super upsetting for me because one of the number one signs of abuse that I've seen with my friends is when their partner tries to isolate them from the people who care about them and will step in if they see abuse happening.
exactly! right after Shayne read the story my immediate thought was that op was a controlling and manipulative partner. the update from the friend was fs helpful and clarifying. but the signs were all there in the original post. trying to make the best friend out to be the villain so he can play the hero that his girlfriend always comes running to. so gross
Video idea: smosh pit theater but acting out ridiculous court transcripts
Bumping because this is a great idea
Comment for the comment gods. That's an amazing idea.
BUMP
That would be gold
YES
Can I just say how cute it is that Shayne kind of shyly smiled when Courtney mentioned them being in a Corpse Bride couples costume?? They're too cute!
I think because Courtney was the one who had to deal with stalkers that he's letting them do all the talking about the relationship. He's probably glad that she feels safe enough to talk about it
@KingofCurses-Sukunai didn't notice any shy smile but the corpse bride example is at 15:13
Can we talk about how Shayne’s shirt perfectly matches the background behind him 👏👏 10/10 color coordination 👌🤣
with the sexually insecure dude, she likely didn't communicate because when she finally did, he blew up, broke the engagement and is moving to a different state. there is no doubt that he had overblown reactions to any discussion or criticism she would have had in the past, so she probably just gave up on trying to communicate with him.
here's the bigger question, why even talked about your sex life to other people in the first place especially when it's a negative?
I thought the same thing!!!!
Since the theme is friendship I was fully expecting Ian to come in and kick Courtney off the couch.
Or just more and more cast to come onto the couch and no one acknowledge it lmao
Fr im sad Ian wasn’t here 😭
@@KingOfGaymes While I adore him, I'm glad Anthony is in more videos without him so he feels like a genuine part of the team again, not just Ians plus one.
This made me think Smosh should do a newly wed style game where it’s Shayne and Courtney vs. Ian and Anthony
@@GaryOPostleYES PLEASE!
OP saying "marriage is built on honesty" right after blatantly lying that it wouldn't hurt him is WILD
feelings changed doesn't necessarily means it's a lie
I think he thought he could handle it
Guys he had JUST SAID he felt stung for a whole day after her friend told him she said it. He knew how he would feel
the first story about the mac book is why you always keep a paper trail. the more evidence you have in paper form the more likely youll win a lawsuit against you or against a company you are suing.
i’m a trans guy and the one about the guy in love with his trans friend legitimately made me cry. this show, despite all the sillies and jokes, is so important. thank you courtney’s wife shayne
😂😂😂😂
Same here!!
Could be wrong, but that sounds like the most gender-affirming thing ever: your straight best friend falling in love with you
@@J.Blazer honestly it is, I'm a transguy too. If a gay man or straight woman tells me they're attracted to me I'd feel honored. My bestfriend is gay and in a relationship with another man, the man has stated hes afraid my friend will cheat on him with me.
Yea this was actually some soulmate shit
Story 1 update: “Im gonna leave physical evidence of me calling the person I’m suing a bitch and be a jackass to the judge the whole time”
*After Trial*
“WTF DO YOU MEAN I LOST?!”
Omg I know right?! I can believe how delusional that girl was.
38:55 courtney's giggle at shayne, his big smile :,))))
Anthony’s really wearing that stache well
he reminds me of the officer in orange is the new black unfortunately
@@KittyKate975he reminds me of Mario from 1993 super Mario bros movie.
@@xbeccalynn24 Would that be Mario Mario?
CORRECT
i really feel like it makes him look like his dad and can’t place whyyy
Story two about the pumpkin costume is the ONLY TIME IN MY LIFE I've ever actually felt like I needed to ask the question "Well what was she wearing" to figure out if she did something wrong or not.
Holy crap did I think this story was gonna go a different direction, *PHEW*!
Definitely made me have another trust issue to think about. Lmao
i feel like it didn't really matter if she was obviously going for pumpkin to steal the spotlight/BF. also she didn't deny it and said it was "just a joke" or like "just a group costume" after literally just lying about it. soooo yeah it was fked up regardless of how it looked. wild update though.
@@GeekProdigyGuy Bonkers story, right!? I was also blown away.
Good point about her lying about it, makes me remember her whole "I'm just gonna be a sexy cat"comment, and then came as a completely different outfit. How awful and passive aggressive.
Anthony has completed his final evolution, Charlie Swan
That's who I was reminded of this whole episode?! ty haha
Living for Anthony and Courtney’s in sync reactions 😭❤️
This “I’m in love with my best friend” story needs to be in the top 10. This is beautiful and I’m in tears it’s so precious.
19:37 - Anthony and Courtney simultaneously looking and each other and screaming "NOOOOOOO!" was perfection
Actually both of Shayne's guests are more than just friends. One is his boss. The other is Anthony.
😂
😂
Heyohhh!
😂
Exactly, that's why he's now known as Courtney's wife
Anthony's wholesome reactions to the guy in love with his best friend story is my all time favorite moment from reddit stories... he was wholly invested in the most supportive and hopeful way possible. I bet he's a sucker for romcoms. Honestly I think he made this special story more awesome for lots of people!
Agree❤
The pumpkin eater second boss phase was nuts
OP really rolled and scrolled her way out and managed to dodge the *seed* jesus christ lmfao
@@crunchevo8974 thank you for this dodge the seed is the best string of words I’ve seen today and I will be inflicting it on my friends immediately
Courtney's reactions during the "in love with my best friend" story were so precious and genuine and exactly how I felt the whole time. Love this cast
Anthony's cosplaying Ian, how cute
Hahahaha. They really been rubbing off on each other. That's why besties do tho
for real, seeing his facial hair just reminds me of ian lol
He actually almost is, that's really funny
Fr his style has been all Ian lately and I love that.
That best friend story with the fella falling in love with his childhood friend is absolutely so precious, my heart 💕💕💕
Was the guy in that 5th story attempting the "Mystery Method"? Like that old pickup artist from the like early 00s??? I had a brief phase where I wanted to understand why so many guys become incels in middle school and fell down the rabbit hole to those guys and literally the method works almost exactly the same
1. Have a "lesser value" woman to constantly flirt with you in front of your "target"
2. lower the targets self-esteem by ignoring them and literally treating them like trash (I believe in his book he actually brings up throwing things at "the target")
3. give the "target" things to anchor her to you even as you treat her like shit, Like giving her your hat to hold onto or buying her drinks before she can politely leave
4.take "target" to a secondary location alone (This is where his method really confuses me though like, why take her to the fuck buddies house?)
5. When her self-esteem is low enough you get the sex (I hope it goes without saying that this is a load of horse shit)
I don't blame people for not catching this but I just wanted to see if I was the only one to think this was a little familiar
HOLY FUCK boosting this bc i think you might be right. That would explain him just running away when she mentioned having a date with someone else in the city, that part wasn't in his handbook and he didn't know what to do.
@@localqueer-here That was why I even thought of this tbh, the running away was what really got me
@@littlemissfangirl7986 I think you fuckinng cracked the code gg dude
I saw someone else mention this, but with your rundown, it seems even more accurate. With the current rise in "alpha male" content, it's far from unlikely that he learned to do this on some podcast.
I think you hit the nail on the head. This is just too insane to not be a way to 'pick up' girls.
That last story was freaking wild. I have seen stories where the OP gets called out, but never to this degree, good lord.
Lmao
Ooooh... that could track!
I actually thought it was a bizarre and shitty loyalty test the other girl forced the guy to do.
the friends to lovers story legit has me kicking my feet like i’m so happy!! LOVE IS AWESOME
