Hi there. Great review! I am planning a trip to Hanoi/Vietnam in October with my elderly parents for the first time. I am currently torn between La Seista Hang Be, Solaria in Old Quarter, and Lotte Hotel. Which would you recommend???

In terms of the hotels mentioned, probably La Siesta Hang Be (we did a review before) or Solaria Old Quarter (never stayed before)! Both are better at exploring Hanoi's food & culture. Lotte Hotel is a bit far off, will have to take a taxi to explore the main parts. Alternatively, you can consider La Sinfonia Del Rey, price ranges similar to La Siesta Hang Be, and we have stayed & done a review of it, and the service was probably the best we had in our many visits to Hanoi. Just take note the roads along the main lake (Hoan Kiem Lake), will close on Friday Nights & Weekends so taxis to & fro these 3 hotels might be a problem. Also, the temperature in Hanoi in October is great (according to my Hanoian wife), but may rain too. lol. Hope this helps! Feel free to ask anything else :D

I prefer Intercon Landmark 72 but this Lotte hotel is one i will check out next time
