Agree. Even Fly High was more of a pop rock to me but this is a more kpop centered one but I really really like it.

One thing about dreamcatcher for me is that they've never disappointed. They've never had a release that I've just totally not vibed with at all. Even their "worst" releases have been great songs for me. Bon Voyage feels like a celebration of their old j-rock inspired sound with a healthy dose of their new sound while also bringing something a bit fresh. I don't know, maybe I'm just a biased fanboy right now but Bon Voyage feels special.
I think from what I've heard this is a pretty widely held opinion, one I share too!
i must admit some of the title songs arent myfav but id always find some great B sides within the albums so that makes up for it
there is no explanation for dreamcatcher at this point man they just get better and better and they make it look and sound so effortless, but we all know how hard they work in every single song. ugh i love them so so much

제가 이노래를 듣고 놀란 점은. 가현의 노래실력만큼 파트도 많아졌다는것이고, 안무와 곡의 멜로디 등 모든것이 너무 좋습니다. 그리고 모든 앨범중 거의 유일하게 “i love you" 라는 문장을 사용했다는 점이 가장 놀랍습니다🥹🥹🥹

The point of Dreamcatcher was always to do something unique within k-pop, and this really feels like the culmination of those 7 long years. They never once strayed from the path, and never stopped rising.
On point. And Dreamcatcher are masters in it - in music, voices, live performances, video, look, expression, impression, clothes... and a lot of fun and crazyness.
the best part of this song is that it is released on my bday...
for me, this song is the victory song of Apocalypse era, where the world regrows again with plants and animals after Maison and Vision show no sign of new life around, but the lyrics got more intimate with the joy of meeting, falling in love and hesitation because of the past mistakes, so in hopes to find the courage to embrace the new feeling, a self-discovery direction is needed to find warmth and coziness hence the drawing red circles implies, but the positive feeling is getting stronger during the journey which makes every cell in the body attracted to each other, like a longing heart for the loved ones. in a simple way, bon voyage brings you to embrace your renewed self after a safe, good trip.
their best release in every category so far!!! the mv quality is insane, the whole album just screams rock, absolutely jaw dropping.

Everything they come out with is great. How does anyone pick a favorite song with them? Their music feels full and nothing is missing.
That meal analogy is so true! Even down to the food coma afterwards, just in this case it's just us knocked flat on the floor from the sheer power of the song.
And pairing Jiu and her sparkly gentle voice in the pre-chorus with the intensity of that chorus is a perfect contrast moment

Bonvoyage really sounds like straight out of an anime but made so beautiful. One of the best title tracks from them for me. Dreamcatcher is really one of a kind ❤ I love them so much!
one word to describe this? HOPEFUL. literally. Hope for the world, hope for humanity, hope for love, hope for life. I guess it's the nostalgic vibes from it? idk but it sounds very hopeful. I still don't know how it connects to Maison and Vision, but this is a super nice ending to the Apocalypse.

I mean, with the fireworks and apocalyptic CGI and the last scene with Gahyeon, it feels like it's really the end. But the lyrics, their smiles, the fluffy thing (SuA said it was a cell, but it's more like a new plant like in Wall-E movie), and the overall vibe kinda gives hope and another chance? idk, I guess I'll let Bookish Theories do their thing 😆😆

"Bon Voyage" is the 3rd and final part of the Apocalypse trilogy. The members have mentioned that it is about giving nature a break, just like it can be good in a relationship to not be together all the time. Any encounter between human beings always has separation attached to it, just as death is a part of life. SuA also said that the fluffy floating thing that Dami summons from her painting is a seed.
That leads my dark mind to believe that they are saying "Have a good trip" to humanity, since we are well on the way of wiping ourselves out. I could of course be wrong. Once humanity is gone, nature gets the break it needs and the circle will begin again.
I can also imagine they are building an ark to take plants and animals to another planet. It would make sense with quite a few of the scenes in the MV.
As you can see, my theory is not yet perfect. I also do not know why all three titles are in French. 😉
Musically I can already say this is one of their best songs for me. The chorus slaps hard, and the verses are just beautiful. We lost Leez as a producer, but the team around Ollounder did a fantastic job!

To be honest, I get bored as a whole lot of reactors just simplified DeuKae's music as an opening or ending anime soundtrack...
But with Bon Voyage, I do agree with you that the vibe and the arrangement are closed to that, very close that I can visualised some anime scenes in my head accompany the beat as the song progress...

I mean for sure, I don't think it's wrong to simplify DC's music as in the ballpark of being suitable for anime OP's and ED's but there's WAAAAAY more to it than that and it's like just a neat little "oh yeah, this could totally fit an anime!" type vibe. But for sure with BONVOYAGE there are some animes I can totally see going along with this and also the emotion is so strong and the vibes are so uplifting that even if you're unfamiliar with anime or whatever then you could totally just enjoy the hell out of this song!
