When people say what the twist was, they say “it turns out they weren’t actually in the 1950s.” But I never once thought they were actually supposed to be in the 50s. I thought we as the audience were supposed to think it was a voluntary Village situation. There wasn’t really a twist, it was more like a revelation.
Those incorrect year brackets for Harry Potter and Superman movies may indicate the production timeline for those projects. "It's been 13 years since superman" = 2026? harry potter 15 years = 2026?
Black Adam has been like the anti-Aquaman. Aquaman had a mediocre opening weekend but got some crazy momentum and it's domestic box office ended up making like 5 times its opening which is a massive outlier in the last 20+ years. Wonder Woman also did very well in this regard, where most DC movies make between 2 and 3 times their opening. So while it might make another 25M domestically, internationally it'll struggle to pull in the 364M that Shazam made despite costing over twice as much. Don't get my wrong, I enjoyed the movie, but centering the future of DC movies around Black Adam would be a huge mistake.
@@thedarkemissary studios only get 1/4 of the money from China compared to 1/2 in most other districts. So unless it goes crazy in China I doubt it’ll make up compared to the low domestic box office
The Wesrworld inside a Westworld reminds me of a Ted talk and other material which discussed the nature of authenticity and how theme parks are authentic theme parks with authentic experiences for theme parks but are inauthentic in lots of other ways.
Not enough people are talking about how fun Nick Kroll is in Don’t Worry Darling. He was the best part to me. I agree a lot of it is a bit weird. Gemma Chan felt like she was being set up as a real villain until it had to be reeled back to keep the incel narrative cohesive.
I actually agree with the Russo thing about movie lengths. Well, not that the two hour movie is dead, but I absolutely agree with what he's saying about sonnets and how movies have a very predictable structure and length and construction.

I agree, the biggest issue with the show is that there is no new episode for the other 6 days of the week. If you do chuck the current theme song, instead of replacing it with a new one and inevitably upsetting all your day one fans (fans that have followed since day one AND fans that are now on day one of following) my suggestion is: just have no theme song.... There's nothing wrong with jumping straight into the show. The majority of us day one fans (the first day oners) are currently skipping the theme song anyway as we've heard it a thousand times and are already skipping through the adds. I personally think its a shame to lose the current theme even though I've been skipping past it for years now but I can see a lot of fans, (day one or not), getting silly and upset about it, especially those from America, what the hell is wrong with those ones? Just look at what they did on January 6th over a realty TV star??? I know this isn't quite a H8 with an 8 in it kind of comment but it's pretty close and I can image this causing some in-fighting with the day oners and the day one of day oners too, so I think this can count for the next time, if you need another one of these
