    • @DriftomaniacsRC
      @DriftomaniacsRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jutamayo it should go in without any mods, you do however have to lift the rear of the motor to get it to 'pop' over one lug sticking up from the chassis, when it's over that lug it should slide in on the mount. It's to withing a mm of that front suspension upright. Make sure both top and bottom of the slider mount bracket are just engaged with the matching bit on the car then lift the rear of the can whilst pushing in. It will fit, it's one of those jobs if I was there I could do it for you in a second. It becomes a lot easier the more you do it. That 1800kv motor will fit though as that's the same motor as on my 8s one. So just engage the front edges of the motor bracket with the slider mount, keep pressure on that end then lift the rear at the same time as pushing it in (Still keeping pressure on the front where the mount is). I should say once it 'pops' over that lug it then sits perfectly flat in the car, it shouldn't rest on that chassis lug or be tilted upwards permanently. Let me know how you get on

    • @DriftomaniacsRC
      @DriftomaniacsRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes it'll plug straight in although if you've a 3 channel receiver might be handy to get a Y cable. I used a bit of heatshrink to 'tape' the wires up. Slip it over the two wires. apply some heat and end result easier and less messy than tape

    Do the JST connectors fit right onto the ports in the receiver? A guy on the Arrma forum is arguing that you need to buy a "Y" splitter and plug the JST connectors into the splitter and then plug into the ESC.....yet another Powerhobby video shows a guy plugging the fan wires directly into the receiver. But supposedly the JST connectors only have 2 openings and the receiver port has 3 prongs for each port so you plug the JST connectors only onto 2 of the prongs instead of all 3? Is that correct?

    • @DriftomaniacsRC
      @DriftomaniacsRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Joe you can do it any of those ways (to add to the confusion) and I've done all 3 over time as well! If I can I just push the JST onto the 2 relevant prongs on either the RX or the esc power lead extender (not all esc's have these but the latest spektrum ones seem to).

    For efficiency with shallow heatsink fins you want the fans to be pulling heat away from the heatsink.

    • @DriftomaniacsRC
      @DriftomaniacsRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would disagree, you want them pushing the cool air in. The fans simply won't pull enough heat away on their own, and in pulling air away you'd only be cooling one specific area, forcing cold air in means that the air forces it's way out through the gaps throughout the heatsinks. Bit curious though as if you think differently WHY on earth are you watching a video on heatsink fans?

    • @Shenanigans3D
      @Shenanigans3D 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DriftomaniacsRC I would be willing to agree with pushing air in if the fins are deep. But they are shallow. It's simple physics. But we each have our own way.
