It took Ireland 107 years to beat New Zealand in New Zealand, and then we beat them again a week later!
And just to show that's not against a bad side, New Zealand beat South Africa away last Saturday, no easy feat. South Africa won the last World cup in 2019;
The game doesn't end on the 80 minute mark it continues until the ball is kicked in to touch (not from a penalty) or when the ball is knocked on (thumbled) if a team is under 7 points behind they can play on until a mistake is made and potentially win it.

When a forward (one of the big guys) gets the ball in open play he will often put his head down and run into a bunch of players instead of passing. That usually ties up a number of big defenders competing for the ball in a ruck, ultimately leaving more space for the smaller faster backs to run the ball, or pass it out to the wings. So running headlong into a crowd isn't as futile as might seem. However in the modern game, forwards are getting faster and more skilled at passing and backs are getting bigger and stronger. It used to be a straight mix of fatties and fasties, but now not so much.

Oof haha. Sucks that my guys lost that. All Blacks are New Zealand, that was played in our capital city so lost at home. I never did learn all the offiside and penalty rules so I'm not much help on that. The kicks by Ireland and the misses by the ABs certainly hurt a lot.
Win or lose rugby is a a thug's game played by gentlemen. When the final whistle goes it's all back to brotherly respect between the teams.

I can assure you that many rugby fans ARE lukewarm about NFL (if not completely disparaging) - at least round my way.
I'm also aware that "it's a completely different game!" - I have actually noticed a few subtle differences between the two.

If you thought this was a good game you should definitely check out the unbelievable matches between The All Blacks (New Zealand) and South Africa in the last 5 years or so. Plus New Zealand are in South Africa now and had the first game on Saturday 6th of August 2022. New Zealand have always sent the benchmark for amazing Rugby and have such a rich history and aura about them (they have always been the team to beat) But with other international teams especially in the Northern hemisphere (The British, French and the Irish) the gap is definitely closing (Ireland results being an example of that) In my mind the top two teams in the world right now are South Africa and France, not including Zealand in that is a big game changer in my opinion. I am English and think we have a chance but my money for the upcoming World Cup is on those two exceptional teams. P.S never wrote-off the "Mighty All Blacks" they will score from absolutely anywhere at any time and that is why they are so dangerous and so respected in the Rugby world.
