I am a 74 yr old faux finisher, artist, etc.. learn still from others still. It was interesting to learn from your videos that acrylic paint can be mixed with your epoxy
Hi Rhonda, I absolutely love watching your amazing work, I came across your site purely by chance while I was researching using epoxy pours for use on my woodwork projects - I think now woodwork will compliment epoxy work rather than the other way around. There are so many sites on epoxy / resin work, in my opinion you are streets ahead of the rest some of who spend 3/4 of the time just talking. Thanks again for sharing and opening up exiting new challenges for me - no retirement for me. Kind Regards from South Africa
Another terrific video , Rhonda. Thanks so much. Always informative and interesting plus very helpful to all of us just starting out with epoxy. Cheers Marie’downunder’ 😀💕😀
Thank you for the advice Rhonda! I really love everything that I’ve watched you do but this one was especially beautiful for me!! Thanks again. I’ll get in touch when I find the courage! 😂
Love watching your video's. The first time I used copper I found it a little too orange for my liking. It worked very well in your dirty pour. I was a little surprised you did not use spray paint, thanks for sharing :)
Cooler can be a little orange for sure. Bronze or brown maybe a better option for you. On this pour I did t want a lot of the effects spray paint gives. I wanted it to just be a soft melding of colors. Thanks for watching!! 😊
Love love love I tape off almost all of my pours so the design doesn't run off edge. I am confused about the way you taped off this piece though... Your tape is at the bottom of table edge... How did that help stop it from running it off?
The epoxy will hit the tape and "pool" there. This way it's not running off the edge and pulling the pattern off the top and streaching out whatever design you have there. I've found that I can let the tape remain until the epoxy is start to set up a bit. Then I pull the tape and brush the dges just enough to make sure it's all got some epoxy on it. The epoxy will then slowly creep down the edge and pull only a little of the design with it.
That’s the best one I’ve seen you do. I would like to do that on my dining room table!! That same pour but it will take two gallons or more!! I’ve used resin but would that be doable for one person to do. The table is in three sections
I would do it in sections for sure because of the size. If you taped off each section and poured them separately it would be much easier to handle by yourself. You’ll just need to sand the edges of your leafs once they dry to assure they fit back together correctly. 😊
What do you think about taping your countertop edges up that way? Have you ever done that? I’ve seen it done on multi level counters to keep it from dripping but what about in other situations?
I’ve actually started doing that more and more and for the most part I really like it. There are certain finishes were I don’t because I want the color to run off more organically. 😊
Great work. Question- I never know when I watch your videos or Stone Coat countertop videos if after you do your Color and then the alcohol if you need to put a final clear coat on it, but your just not showing that. If you do, would that be another 1:1 ratio of products A&B?
Hey Lisa. Yes. It’s the same material as I use in my first color coat. The only difference is I don’t put in any color additives so that the integrity of the epoxy isn’t compromised. This coat goes on crystal clear and gives added protection. I wait at least 24 hour’s before I floodcoat. 😊

Hey there!!! Thanks for watching. I too love to watch others and learn. Lots of fun. 😊

Would be nice to see the product finished after set up.
So pretty
Thank you!
Rhonda, i am assuming you paint the bottom after you pull the tape off and it dries?
Beautiful work as always!
Thank you!! 😊😊

Love it
Thank you!!
Do the cells from the 91% Isopropyl alcohol remain once the piece is dry? I can't see them in the end result part of the video. Thank you
Love love love

That is gorgeous ❣
How long into the pour did you use the alcohol?
I try to wait at least 30 minutes 👍🏼
Very cool
Thank you!! I think they turned out pretty neat. 😊
I did my tops, but it stains easy after I took it down to a Matt finish, what product can I use to add a protective layer
SCC has a fabulous new matte topcoat coming out (I’ll be carrying it also). Won’t scratch or stain! Super durable!
Hi Rhonda, another gorgeous one! One question, I can't find 91% isopropyl alcohol anywhere. Can I use Denatured Alcohol instead? Thank you
Same problem and question.
Have you checked Sally beauty supply store?
That is gorgeous❣
Same Question? I couldn’t find the answer so I purchased 99% and will try to dilute the other 8% myself 🤷♀️
