Is Phuket worth visiting in rainy season?

After 6 months in Thailand I arrive in Phuket
I avoided this place as many people said it was bad
I was blown away by some of the views - and I stayed in Old town Phuket which is cheaper and more Localised
I ended up at a festival and a huge sunday market called Lad Yai Sunday Market - it was one of the biggest markets I’ve ever seen
