Big shout out to Vampire Survivors and the dev team behind it btw. They have given support for Holocure and are some of the best at taking in feedback from the community. They made a 4$ game that is better quality than a lot of triple a games with dozens of hours of replayability then released non stop updates. Even when they added secondary character skins and new updates, price never went up, they never charged money. The DLC for the game Essentially doubles the content and is also very cheap. It's the type of dev team that gives me faith in gaming. Seeing indie devs and double A studios thriving has been the rare positive in gaming over the last year or two.

Ironically, Holocure is the superior version of Vampire Killer. Just cause of the house and fishing. Also helps the fact that you can aim the characters' weapons.

I was interested in this game when Pekora was first streaming it on her channel. At the time, I had fatigue from Vampire Survivors and all of its clones. So just about last month, I decided to start playing it, but by sheer coincidence, that was the same day that Asmongold uploaded his first video on it. It's kind of strange, that all of a sudden, the game is blowing up on my TH-cam feed and I couldn't be happier for it.
I felt down in the rabbit hole by watching some Okayu and Watame clips....god damn I am glad I did fall into that hole and I dont want to escape it! Good video btw!

When getting statupgrades, aim for hp + damage + speed. I fell the rabbit hole exactly because of this game and i resonated strongly with this video, hololive is GREAT content for my worklife and just going through the days, and on my days off, i can just doze off spending hours into holocure. The more i learn about hololive the more i respect the art of vtubing and i respect even more the passionate people behind it, may it be amelia doing an entire 3d studio during a pandemic to make sure her friends have 3d debut events, a-chan saving suisei or just Kay yu making this BANGER of a game while not CREDITING HIMSELF IN HIS OWN GAME, because he wants this to be a pure passion project, I'm very happy to have lowered my walls and have explored this community.
Holocure is certainly a love letter to the fans. Those at the bottom of the rabbit hole extract the extra enjoyment from knowing most of the insider jokes and memes. The fact its wrapped around a stupidly fun game just makes it sublime.
I hate these survivor type games but this one, this one I adore for the soul reason of just how many characters their are each with there own play style which apparently defences the character themselves! I like that you can aim in a direction, while running in a diff direction :D IMO it's better than VampireSurvivors.... V.S. does have it's own pros though, i like the in-stage powerups which allow you to get "more than max" items/weapons if done right.

That ending is great, it makes me think of Pikamee, who just applied to work with Gyari-san out of curiosity, not being a big watcher of streamers or V-tubers, becuase that's who she was (is), someone who tries things on a whim, who shoots her shot, who stumbles, dusts off and gets back up.

Ah yes... The VTuber rabbithole... I walked in without really realizing what it was. But if I knew, my old self will surely ask the same thing: "Why the heck I will watch this?". After all, I'm a type of guy who will feel itchy when I watch something that has too much estrogen like Love Live lol. But once I experienced this group of comedians, I just can't really stop. I even stopped watching animes and just use my free time to watch VTubers clips now lol
A fellow Hololive enjoyer, I see. Great video. HoloCure is literally that game that the industry needs to take a page or two from. It still needs some more polishing, especially in the optimization department, but the game is too good you could put all that behind you.

Amazing video! Love the editing, down to the subtle things like Pekora's quite laugh as you said "rabbithole". If I may make one criticism, the full blur screens. A second wouldn't be so bad, but 2+ sec is hard to look at. Maybe fading just before something else comes into the foreground? I feel bad even mentioning it because you did such a great job! Even your voice is well suited for this.
Great vid. I only recently started playing holo cure even though I've been here a while. This vid explains exactly what hololive is. Although personally, i think it would be great if the game added some sort of library so new fans can easily learn the in jokes; even i dont know them all (but of course you can always Google 😅)

IMO it's better than VampireSurvivors.... V.S. does have it's own pros though, i like the in-stage powerups which allow you to get "more than max" items/weapons if done right.

The term „rabbit hole“ sounds so badly connoted. I‘m in this „rabbit hole“ and proud and happy. It provides and gives me joy. And I guess, that is one thing in my entire life that won‘t change.

If you liked Senchou's Touhou playthrough stream I really recommend all HoloMems' Undertale/Deltarune, The Henry Stickmin Collection, and Superliminal streams, and their Minecraft streams too ofc, but I'd imagine those would be way harder to miss since that's probably their most played game on average.

Hey YO! I just stumbled upon this and this was an amazingly fun video to summarize HoloCure. Indeed, it's gone far from being just a fan game. It's a game that people can enjoy whether they're playing as their oshis, or coming in as new fans, or playing just to try something fun.

That ending is great, it makes me think of Pikamee, who just applied to work with Gyari-san out of curiosity, not being a big watcher of streamers or V-tubers, becuase that's who she was (is), someone who tries things on a whim, who shoots her shot, who stumbles, dusts off and gets back up.
Sometimes I miss that Electric Kettle.
Luckily I found a Kettle that claims to have 999 IQ that's just as good.
@@mrmxypltk I like that kettle too! Sadly nothing will give me the warm and fuzzy feeling of an "otsu pika". Don't know if you've watched the lovely Otoufu-san animation of the last otsu pika, highly recommend it.

Ah yes... The VTuber rabbithole... I walked in without really realizing what it was. But if I knew, my old self will surely ask the same thing: "Why the heck I will watch this?". After all, I'm a type of guy who will feel itchy when I watch something that has too much estrogen like Love Live lol. But once I experienced this group of comedians, I just can't really stop. I even stopped watching animes and just use my free time to watch VTubers clips now lol

A fellow Hololive enjoyer, I see. Great video. HoloCure is literally that game that the industry needs to take a page or two from. It still needs some more polishing, especially in the optimization department, but the game is too good you could put all that behind you.
I’m happy this game is growing live the black hole that is the rabbit hole, i just hope it can be playable for Mac soon (ish i get small team) so that poor souls like me can finally playyyy

If I may make one criticism, the full blur screens. A second wouldn't be so bad, but 2+ sec is hard to look at.
Maybe fading just before something else comes into the foreground?

Great vid. I only recently started playing holo cure even though I've been here a while. This vid explains exactly what hololive is. Although personally, i think it would be great if the game added some sort of library so new fans can easily learn the in jokes; even i dont know them all (but of course you can always Google 😅)
Fun fact, Kay Yu is a big animator but originally graduated with a degree in game design so he set himself up to be able to do stuff like this
