    I like your calmness and light clothing at -31C.. I would look like an inuit or esquimo at those temps....jaja.

      With the modern oils and good fuel/engine management most new motors are pretty good in the extreme cold!

      I have a 2023 and cold started exact same temp -31 today and sounded exactly like that plugged in for 6 hours. Seems like its normal had me wondering lol

    I agree 15 minutes will allow the clutch fluid (hydraulic fluid) to warm up and the clutch feels much better.

      Thanks for watching and yes, a few minutes to warm things up will greatly improve their performance!

    Guess the automatic wins for this reason. It has a heater.

    Use the clutch cancel switch and you don’t need to use the clutch to start. I’ve blown slave cylinders in Colorado at -25.

    I wonder if you shift more often it’ll keep the fluid warmer

    Hello there, could I use a part of your video for my cold-starting compilation? of course I put a link to your original video in the description, increasing the original’s popularity too. Thank you for answer in advance :)

    on days like these do you leave the clutch in when you start? How long should you leave it in before lifting your food off? A few seconds or so?

    • @corradettimotorsports360
      @corradettimotorsports360  ปีที่แล้ว

      sorry for the late reply, there is a clutch cut out switch on the dashboard, I would recommend using that and not using the clutch at all on really cold days, if you do use it, I would leave your foot pressed down for about 10 seconds and the slowly lift it off.

    I'm moving from Cali to north dakota for school and driving my 6spd 3rd gen taco, do I need to change any of the fluids for cold weather or does the recommened fluids for example oil from toyota still work in these cold temps?

    • @corradettimotorsports360
      @corradettimotorsports360  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the late reply Presley, welcome to the north!! I would stick to the manufactures specs when it comes to fluids, most modern oils have advanced and from California to North Dakota won't be much of a difference to change viscosities, unless of course Toyota recommends it, I would first consult the owner's manual for cold weather operation first, then a dealer!

    What kind of block heater do you have and who installed it? Thank you!

    • @corradettimotorsports360
      @corradettimotorsports360  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This Truck was equipped with a factory block heater that came with its own custom cord and built-in plug-in the bumper!
