I think it is a tragedy that Camila was crowned queen.
People who knows her, or have met her. Say she's actually a very lovely, very kind person.
How he got away with this is unfathomable. She was brazen and immoral in so many ways as was he. That should not have been rewarded especially when historically her new position has always been forbidden to the point that when the last king tried it he had to abdicate and move to a different country to marry.
I agree that she shouldn’t have been crowned Queen. Queen EII told Prince Charles that Camilla could be queen consort like her husband Philip (his father) was prince consort but she shouldn’t be Queen. She didn’t deserve the title! Charles threw her last wishes in the trash, shame on him!

My son used to go fishing opposite her house, he could have been told to 'Go away' but never was. A small thing, granted, but she seems to be a witty, kind woman. She and Charles should have been allowed to marry rather than poor Diana. Diana was used really as a 'Brood mare'.
Charles NEVER Stopped seeing Camilla!! Gladys & Fred had a wonderful time meeting up at charmed county retreats while Diana was very hurt & alone. Everyone has flaws but if you've ever been a young inexperienced girl married to a Narscissist doing this to you then being emotionally abusive when you try to tell them how hurt you are. Camilla, also a Narcissist wasn't bothered by the pain she was causing.

As the wife of the reigning monarch she, like Elizabeth the wife of George VI and Mary the wife of George V were also Queen Consorts, indicating their RANK. Their titles, however, was that of Queen. This is also the true of Camilla, and will be true of Catherine as well. We do NOT KNOW what the Queen's private thoughts were at all.

The late Queen gave her approval for Camilla to be Queen Consort because Camilla has proven herself overtime that she's willing to work hard and take her responsibilities seriously. She is also a good companion for Charles. If not, the late QE would insist that Camilla be referred to as Duchess of Cornwall. Also, all King's wife always be referred to as Queen Consort. The title Queen Regnant (i.e. QEII) reserved only for women who ascended to throne by way of succession line. But either way, they are all called Queen in day-to-day life for simplicity.

Marrying a divorced woman was a good excuse to force the King's hand, knowing that he wouldn't let Wallis go. The real reason was a little darker. The appropriate agencies had found out that the King was a Nazi sympathiser and used the "marriage" as a convenient excuse to get rid of him. Have you seen the photos of him in Nazi Germany performing the Nazi salute? He was giving information to the Germans and he had to go. The world wasn't to know of this (all information in the Marburg Files), so they used Wallis as an excuse. Hitler had promised the King that if the Germans won the war, they would overthrow King George VI and install Edward as a "puppet king". That's how Charles married a divorcee, not to mention that after Princess Margaret's divorce and those that followed, the RF had to reluctantly drag themselves into the 20th century.

I can’t quite agree with that. Diana did everything she could to humiliate them. She was out to get him and the queen and she planned this from when she was very young that she wanted to marry him and be the queen. The Queen wanting her breakfast cereal kept in Tupperware boxes keeps it crisp. Britain has so much rain so the level of humidity must be terrible and if that humidity is allowed to get at the cereal then it would have been soggy and that affects the taste and the crunch. She wasn’t having a formal breakfast why couldn’t she enjoy crunchy cereal. I think many of those people were just busy bodies.

It is wrong to speak about her in such degrading fashion especially as she has kids who are still alive. Being in the public light probably made it difficult for her to stay in long relationships because the guys probably couldn’t cope with the media attention. Just look at how Harry is being treated today for example yet the King has done nothing to shield his son or be a father to his son.

Camilla was as big a schemer as Markle. In her first marriage she gave herself 7 years to get Andrew Parker Bowles, a constant womaniser and she going along with it. She is quite something. She is far and away below her great grandmother though. Both husbands knew and it was a very common practice in those far off days when a woman desperately needed a husband to give her support and respectability. Camilla didn't need a husband financially. She had a perfect life, freedom and friends along with all those horses. She's just another competative narcissist, as is Charles, never giving a thought that her long ago boyfriend already had a wife and two children. Even having the nerve to attend the wedding when she knew Diana knew what she was and how she'd been duped from the beginning. No morals there. She could still have seen Charlie on the quiet, having no conscience or scruples. So convenient that one day there was no Diana, making everything so much easier for this very ordinary woman. I'd be damned if I would curtsy to her as I believe she and Markle are two of a kind. She got back into his head when he and Diana were actually settling down two years after the wedding and his feelings towards her had changed much towards her to her delight. Then the old tortoise somehow weasels her way back in and all was lost. Charles himself looks like an old tortoise now I think of it. As an expat Brit the whole thing has been a tragedy and a grim chapter in the Windsor history book. The Queen was everything and I remember Charles and Anne being born. He makes me look at least 20 years younger than he. Perhaps Karma does exist. I doubt I'll see William and Catherine but they do give me some hope after this farce of a reign. 🇬🇧🏴

I am living on the continent and since nearly 30 years we hear and see only good things about the job of both of them, about their interests and what they are doing. Recently they visited my in my country and did a very good job again. Very friendly people. Queen Camilla visited a kindergarden, talked about literature and talked
warm hearted to kids, who liked her. I like her warm voice and her reserved-deliberately manner. Not at all intrusive, relaxed. King Charles visited a farm and a company he was interested in and had expertice. Everything was fine. The Commonwealth has got two fabulous representatives. You should be proud that they are doing this job. But some people always have to bully and complain 🙄.

This was a fascinating revisit to history. So much has changed. Camilla did indeed become queen. It’s also interesting to hear some of these interviews now after all that has happened with Harry. It’s also interesting to hear that Charles really was not well liked and was portrayed like a spoiled overgrown child.
Both Charles & Diana had very dysfunctional families. There was a 12+ year age difference. Him in his 30s & her a teenager. Diana needed a Mother -ing person in her life before she married anyone.
