Exploring multi-species fishing in January in the Northeast, especially the Pennsylvania and New Jersey regions, sounds like an exciting and challenging adventure! The winter months often present unique conditions that anglers must navigate, making the experience even more rewarding. Open water fishing in January requires a combination of skill, knowledge and a deep understanding of local waters. It's interesting to think about the variety of fish species you might encounter, each with their own behavior and preferences during the colder months. Whether it's panfish, bass, trout or other cold-water species, this variety adds an element of unpredictability to the fishing experience. The serene winter landscapes and the excitement of the catch create a unique atmosphere unlike any other season. Thanks for sharing this insight into the world of multispecies fishing in the Northeast in January. 🎣❄🐟Greetings from Belgium. I'm subscribed to your channel, waiting on my channel! Thanks so much!! It’s definitely nice to be able to catch some fish this time of year for sure. Hope things settle down for you and are able to get out on the water!!
Thanks Henry! It did melt fast. Back at it though. Snowing now again and also Tuesday. Been single digits this week at night and 20’s during day. Won’t be hitting the pond anytime soon. Looks like trout fishing is on the menu for a while. Appreciate you watching brother!!!
Yeah man a bobbers help out a lot. I just get this little trout magnet ones. You could slip them on and off without having to cut your line or twist your line up. All right just getting started Let's watch the rest 👊
Such a beautiful day out on the lakes. Great mix of species were caught. Love all the wonderful views of the surrounding area. Have a nice week my friend. 🎣🐟🐟
Nice job out there Chris. I got to get back to it after the crazy holidays. 2024 started off hopping for us. It’s good to see someone fishing and catching. 👍
I was happy they were a bit bigger then last outing. I’ll take them anytime 😉 No kisses 😆 I can barely hold those slippery snot rockets! Appreciate you watching Ron 🙏🏻👊
Nice job out there Chris. Lots of action and it was cool seeing the hover stroll working with a bobber. Driving in that white stuff looked a little sketchy. Keep the good stuff coming.
Hard core Chris, going there in a snow storm. But knowing you , you would have caught them anyway. I have only ever landed little ones out of that lower pond. Did have something big blow up once but he missed. Now I m going to have to go out for a couple hours next week, gonna be in the 40's it will feel tropical.
Greatjob landing a few in January, never easy when it gets cold. So now a question, why the bobber when using a soft plastic? Seen a few people doing that lately, but haven't heard what the advantage of this technique. Thanks in advance and great job Chris!
Thanks so much Larry. It’s a new technique to me recently as well with the bobber. I’m using it to try and find the Crappie in the correct water column. It’s a slower presentation as well to hopefully get that cold water bite. Thanks for the question!
Crappie start to the video if you ask me. 😂 That 2" Blue Ice Bobby Garland was getting it done. I thought it was a Baby Z Too at first. Great mix of fish. Our waters are FINALLY freezing over so hopefully I can get out there in the next couple of days.
😂👍 Yup….they froze up this week here to after this outing. I just received some Crappie Jigs from Joe too and was excited to get out with them. Appreciate you watching and the comment brother🙏🏻👊.
Thanks so much my friend!!! Ponds froze over after this. Looks like 👍 lol be back to trout fishing next time out. Appreciate you watching and the comment my friend!
Awesome stuff Chris! Great seeing you still catching stuff! What a great multi species day for January 👊 blizzard here we come ! Hahaha we got pounded by 10in of snow where I'm at.
Thanks Jared!!! Ponds froze back up after this and a snow storm. Another one tomorrow 😢. I’ll definitely take what I can get this time of year. Thanks for watching brother. Also, hit me up of what shirt you want, color n size too👍
The bobby Garland blue ice is my favorite. Not to many fish pass it up. Those pickerel are so cool looking. Hard to count on a pond this time of year with them freezing up so quickly. The one thing about crappie is finding the right depth. I find them extremely picky with that. If your like me not catching fish out of that pond becomes a challenge. 🤣 No under water releases but the flying pickerel releases were cool. Winter fishing is tough great job Chris.
I’m excited to get more fishing in with the Bobby garland 😉. Yup…ponds back frozen over after this outing. Flying pickerels 😂. They definitely don’t like to be handled. It’s tough finding that depth with the crappie. Appreciate it Stacee 🙏🏻👊
Those BG lures are some of my favorites. I really like the Stroll R Shad. I just picked up a new UL combo to try out. I am a little too far south for crappie, but I may get on some good bream. Looks a little chilly up there bro. Stay warm!
I’ll have to look the stroll R Shad up 👍 I really enjoyed when you did the ultralight video from the canal Joe! It’s definitely cold up here now. Ponds froze over after this video 🥶☹️. Appreciate you watching and the comment 🙏🏻👊
Crappie, Pickerel, Bass… Oh My! That Bobby Garland plastic was doing the trick. Beautiful snow at the end. We are having a bit here ourselves. Cold as all get out! Great episode, Chris!
With Joe's jigs if you miss one. Just blame it on him. I think he dull's the hooks before he sends them. Please don't tell him I told you that though🤫🤐
Great job Chris! They were loving those little plastic minnows. Be careful out there my friend. Looking forward to seeing you catch more trout! Take care my friend!
You are already a pro at the jig and bobber Chris! When using this method last summer for crappie I was thinking about modifying it a little bit and using a fluke or larger plastic/jig for striper/largemouth/bigger fish. I think it might work great in the ocean at a pier too for Spanish and bluefish. Gorgeous pickerel and solid largemouth. Sure would be nice to get some of that snowfall down here in Greensboro, we have been so close to getting some. Can't wait for the next video.
Sounds like a good idea Dave!!! I’ve definitely been having some fun with this. Unfortunately it will be on hold for a while. Ponds froze over after this. If I get out it will probably be for some trout. Appreciate you watching and the comment my friend 🙏🏻👊

Thanks! Hope you got your power back and was able to get out on some fish!
Good time for winter 🌠🐟🐟🐟🐟😎👍
Thank you my friend!!
Love to see the Winter action. Nothing wrong with pickerel when they get rid of the skunk. No kisses 😂. Good Bass! Love the Winter dedication 🎣🥇
