- I will be uploading the test drive video of this car today as well so be sure to check this one out and the test drive video once it's uploaded! In this video I give a full in depth tour of a 2001 Honda Accord V6. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.
This car is so beautiful. Perfect size. Everything about it is so perfect.
It's also a rock. Literally one of the most reliable cars of all time. It won't die.

Had an '02 Accord that didn't even hit 140k and was rear-ended which ended up totaling it. Such a shame.

Corey Coffey This car was such a good car, it had a good ammount of tech features at the time, it had frontal and side torso airbags, it also had enough room for 4 adults or 2 adults and one child in the back. I had so many memories in my dad's 2001 Honda Accord exv6 in white. The v6 engine gave us decent fuel economy and unlike our 2012 pilot, this car with the v6 had quick acceleration on the freeway and the city.
We only sold the car in 2014 because it was so old and because my dad was working further away so he needed a more fuel efficent car. So, he got a 2014 Honda Accord hybrid which has been super reliable and comftorable to ride in. Our family has been more than happy with the new model, with its great fuel efficiency, saftey features, and technology features like Bluetooth and sirus xm radio.
His old car was also a car my uncles had too. They had a 2002 Accord exv6. This car I gotta say was pretty safe back in the day and, it does an ok job protecting you in a frontal collision. My cousin Taylor in 2013 totaled my uncle Eric's 2002 Honda Accord when he rear ended a car on the freeway when there was traffic at 40 miles per hour. He was able to walk away from the serious crash without any injuries.

Don't know why but i'm obsessed with the 1998-2002 Honda Accord, almost everyone i know has this generation. They are built like tanks
my grandma has had one of these for 18 years and this just reminds me of the good old days of riding in that car :)

@@sebafer2719 lmao. My transmission died around 75k in my old 2001 accord. I’m guessing it suffered a bit since it sit around not being driven for a few years before I inherited it. I guess I got a Mazda 3 now 🤷♂️

I'm a college kid. I drive an 02 Accord. I pay about 60$ in gas for a full tank every 2 weeks.
A Honda Accord or a Honda Civic are extremely reliable and great on gas. Some might consider the Honda Civic to be more of a people's car than the Volkswagen Beetle; which is rather ironic considering that "Volkswagen" means "People's car" when translated from German to English.

I have a V6 01 and the color I have is Firepepper Red Pearl! My dad bought it brand new in 2001 and gave it to me in 2010 during my senior year of high school. I still have the car today and I’m about to hit 191,000 miles! I actually have it in the shop right now I’m getting an oil change, rotate and balance with the tires, changing out the timing/serpentine belts, changing out the pulleys/belt tensioner, getting a valve adjustment, changing out the water pump and gasket, rear main seal, crankshaft seal and cam shaft seal. I also plan to flush the fluids also and I actually changed out the transmission to a remanufactured one in 2017.
I still driving my 2002 acoord v6, 200hp and pretty good torque, drive fantastic, only have 100,000 miles and drive strong, I love it so much, my daughter want once she get her license but I believe I just going to buy another one and keep this to myself until it die. All original, cero issues whatsoever. Will buy it again and again. Love from Virginia ❤️. It's for lover after all. Haha

+Steve Roknic I have it in nighthawk black pearl and the paint is oxidized and I never had a spoiler on it. Just got the car and I'm planning on repainting the car red, getting the OEM spoiler, painting the side skirt black, and installing a front bumper lip.

I have this Accord version 2000, got It with 40k miles on It. Had to change some stuff, gas tank, motor support etc. But the motor and the interior Is mint! Old grandpa barely drove It for 20 years...

Malik Mitchell Little touch ups are easy man! If it's just a rock chip, get some duplicolor from autozone. It's matched to the paint code on the car, and it comes in a little bottle so it's really easy to apply it. Or, save up for a little air compressor and a paint gun. Easy enough to paint yourself if you have the time.
If the paint is peeling off in huge chunks, then you would probably not want to try to fix it yourself though. My paint cost me 180 dollars per quart, so a little mistake costs you a lot of money and about a day's worth of work!
+***Classified*** To be honest the paint I can live with because I'm leaving for Navy boot camp in August and I can't have a car for a year where ever I'm going to be stationed my Dad will probably fix it while I'm gone
Malik Mitchell As long as it doesn't rust, paint problems are just cosmetic. Rust sucks though, and pretty much ruins cars.

I have a 2004 Honda Odyssey. And I like how the 1998-2002 Accords and the 1999-2004 Odysseys have a. similar looking dashboard and interior. They kinda complement each other.

Honda's are known for its reliability. These can go from 4000-6000 dollars according to kelly blue book. Of course it all depends on how many miles it has, whether it is in excellent, good, average, or poor condition. My dad has friend's at work who own hondas with over 300,000 miles!
I have a 2000 model which looks better than the 01 IMHO. Very comfortable and fun ride, no need for many mods. I only got SRI and summer tires on mine for extra fun. Over 200k miles and still pushing it hard!
This car is about the same size as my 2016 Civic. Compact is the new mid-size these days.

I have the low end model of this car with the cloth interior. Just put in a new stereo and dual 12 inch MTX subs in the back. Now I've just gotta give it a new paint job and it'll be awesome! Still runs like the day my dad bought it.

My aunt and uncle had an '00 EX-L Sedan with a V6, bought it new in 2000, and put almost 200k on it. It was Shoreline Mist in color, but they traded it for a 2009 Mazda MAZDA6 i Touring last year. Nice car!

Mid 90's and early 2000's Honda Accords especially the v6 models are BULLETPROOF these cars are tough. I don't care where you are or the season when you turn that key it will always have your back.

The transmissions suck on 1998-2004 models with the V6.
What's so great about a Honda Accord and Honda Civic as well as the Toyota Camry and Toyota Corolla from the mid 1990's and early 2000's is that they can stay on the road and rack up hundreds of thousands of miles on the odometer. Nothing can kill them aside from an auto accident or a natural disaster.
You have got to love your fully loaded Honda Accord, and the stereo isn't bad either.

The newer 01-02 accords taillights will simply bolt right in, you may have to switch the connectors since the turn signals are on the bottom for the newer ones compared to tops for the older ones. If you want the fogs from the 01-02 you need to replace the bumper to the newer one, should bolt right on.

I just got a 2000 Accord 4 cylinder. I've read a lot that the V6's are prone to transmission problems. That's the main problem with the 6th gens.

What is the pull out compartment under the sunroof button? I have a Honda Accord 2000 and it has that. I never knew what it’s used for
So from what I hear it is originally intended as an ash tray. Or if u don't smoke, a change/whatever holder. I use that pull out tray to hold change and an emergency $10-$20. People argue against the change holder theory because the center console actually has vertical coin slot holders than can hold about 10 each of quarters dimes and nickels. So if you don't smoke. You can use it for anything. Mostly garage door opener storage.
They get about 25-28 mpg (not bad for a 4 door with a v6), and it has a 17 gallon fuel tank. Let's say that gas is $4 a gallon where you live, and you fill up whenever you get down to a quarter of a tank. You would be paying about $50 every time you fill up, which really is pretty decent nowadays.
These are one of the most reliable cars ever made. For how many miles do they last?
