the sounds of the PUTRA LRT (KJ Line) really freaked me out when I was a little child, especially at the underground section

I bumped into this on purpose, as I was soo curious how the 1st lrt/metro sytem in KL was run (1996), and 22 years later (2018)...Indo (Palembang) had just started its 1st LRT edition ever. If only there wasn't any corruptions back then in Indo, we might have had this too. We actually only need one brave man who dare to risk it all. Thanks to Jokowi for showing up in 2013 as a new Jkt governor and eventually made a leap for being elected as a new president in 2015. If it wasn't him, I dunno who else could make this all happen today, massive underway MRT/LRT completion in Jakarta and other big cities. Better late than never. Salam dr Indonesia utk Malaysia.

If you look at the propaganda add the Train screen says Plaza Rakyat, indicating a significance of that project, funny how now we all can see how much it lacks foresight and how it turned out to be an utter failure but yet the name of the station still stands

Tak ingat tahun 1996/1997 masa sekolah setiap kali dtg kl, turun pudu.. dan kkk akn ambil pastu naik STAR LRT ni ke Bandaraya. Masa tu kemain jakun 😂 org kg laa katakan hehe bila habis kolej duk kl tak heran dah 😅 but still ini pengangkutan wajib pi kerja dan jenjalan ❤️

The LRT tracks just looked like train rail.
Some tracks even converted from former KTM lines, mainly the Ampang branchline.
