Nice Sami! I like at the end where you thank your wife. As like my build time, money, sweat and did I mention time! Its worth every minute though. Nice build.
Your Samurai is very cool. I'm half jealous I'm not in your shoes yet. Busy finding nice one. Want to do mods immediately when I get it. Standard Axles? Wheel Spacers? Width of wheels? How does Rocky Road kit handle on tar for everyday driving especially higher speeds and hard breaking? What size wheels? Sorry so many questions. Just trying to make best all round everyday Zook that kicks ass on weekends (and sometimes in the week). Thanks for any input you give a Samurai noob.
@DavutCyprus actually the small 1.3 liter engines do extremely well off road. They get good gas mileage and are also very light which enables them to float over many offroad obstacles. Its more about the gearing than the power. 60 hp in a samurai is enough to get you almost anywhere with the correct gears in 4 low
@Gerold1981 They have never stopped making them. They are still available in India, renamed tho... Maruti Gypsy is an LWB version of a samurai... At least someone understands the use of such a vehicle...
i can see thats like an army green. do you know what color it is? i just painted my zuk army green rustoleum and it looks nasty. im gonna have to redo it.
@bluebaja40 I've been looking to sell my toyota tacoma, and buy a samurai and build one up. I'm still researching and wondering what a good lift and such is.
@theEyeineye Im not sure. I sold this over a year ago, I did see it on Inland Empire craigslist a couple months back the guy I sold it too was selling it then.
@Gerold1981 They haven´t they are now called Suzuki Jimny and are sold in South America, Europe and Australia. Suzuki should bring the Jimny/Samurai back to the US and Mexico!
@lilmonstertruck I actually bought a 98 TJ, actually selling my 98 TJ to buy my tacoma back lol..... I'll end up buying a samurai and trailering it with the tacoma (:
There´s something that no 4x4 driver ever figured out. There´s this stuff called dirt bikes. And you can ride them through those places you drive 4x4 cars. But instead of going at 0.5 mph, you´re going at 60 mph. It may take serious skills to ride a dirt bike though...

hey how hard was it to do that spring over axle conversion?
WHAT TIRE SIZE IT THAT??? and are you running spacers?
Stock 3.73s or re geared?
ya cause i only got a 1inch shackle lift in the front and all around ranchos. but a spoa conversion will be my next improvement
What are you running? Stock axles and leafs with a 3" lift?
what kind of kit does it have on ?
@Gerold1981 very nice i love it
everyone seems to love the sami (as do i) but why do you guys sell them?
Your right but it go's both way's. 4x4's or dirtbikes its all good fun thats why we do it.
i can see thats like an army green. do you know what color it is? i just painted my zuk army green rustoleum and it looks nasty. im gonna have to redo it.
@chadocoonfoop Thanks man! I sure do miss this rig, I will remember this zuk forever...
@markey808 The Samurai is still made, sometimes they're called the Jimny.
did you have the axles flipped
@taylorritter Thanks for the good comments.
What spec do you have to do to get that flex? I know nothing lol
they should have never stopped making these cars
Very good grip and very strong tires/sidewalls they would stay on the wheel at 3PSI. Not too good for sand dunes.
Which engine? Tnx.
what do u have for an exhaust? sounds good
32 11.50 they fit good on this 6" lift but I did have to pound the inner fender to keep it from cutting the tire while flexing.
what tire size you have? i lift my samurai 5" CALMINI dont know wich size to go with?
@bluebaja40 I've been looking to sell my toyota tacoma, and buy a samurai and build one up. I'm still researching and wondering what a good lift and such is.
good car, good driver
Pretty easy if you can weld, the hardest part for me was getting the pinion angle right.
I guess not. And the new generation comes with coil springs on solid axles a la Land Rover Defender style.
What kind of lift is that?
@theEyeineye Im not sure. I sold this over a year ago, I did see it on Inland Empire craigslist a couple months back the guy I sold it too was selling it then.
@kauaiboy89 I had 8" wheels with 2 1/2" of back spacing it worked out great. With that 12.50 would be too wide.
It move very well!!! What's your settings or kits (I don't know how the f**k I can call it)
thanks alot
Thanks, Its a calmini header/muffler...
I've got one on YJs and missing links and it's unstoppable. Vids coming soon.
Good flippen run
cool
pretty close! 6" spoa, 32" sx's spool in the rear
nice ride...i need to put up some more vids...
@nandoanalog om yes sir i do i have been riding since i was about 8 and im 17 now trust me
Thanks, rocky road 6" spoa.

In Belgium it's ilegal to go spoa. To bad for us.

Your an idiot
Stupid words, nice video
@911turb0 i sold my 98taco and got a sammy. lot of new place i can get to that a taco can't
theres no way a dirt bike can go places that jeeps and zuks go
Of course not, the US wants mall crawlers instead of real offroaders these days.
