    This feels so real, not having much background music until the end. Such great techniques display.

      Right? Unfortunately there are not a lot of fight scenes out there choreographed like this. A lot of movies prefer flashy techniques and quick cuts over plain, simple effective technique. But that's what movies are for, spectacle

    The front flip axe kick was sweet. Best of luck with the shaving thing. I've always had a beard and one time the depth guide on the trimmers broke so I had to shave. The wife just stared at me and told me she didn't like my face.

    In reference to that rear naked choke if you have it properly singed in the hand that goes behind the head is locking down you're choking hand making you more able to use less arm muscle to do the choke and you got to take your hand away so that they can't get to it like he got to it there

    • @BurridgeMartialArts604
      @BurridgeMartialArts604  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah absolutely if you can sink it in with both hands that is ideal but it can also be done with the one hand if you need to. I like to do it one handed and use the other hand to trap their's, especially if they are being difficult and fighting your choking hand really hard.

    I think the other thing was that when he pulls the arm down, if he'd defended the choke before the other guy could sink it in, he could pull the other arm down and trap it with his legs. Strange that he didn't tuck the chin to defend against the RNC. With the level of skill these guys demonstrate I'd have thought that would be second nature. Tuck the chin, breathe through the nose, he can't hit the choke so he either has to disengage or go for a face crank. If he chooses the face crank and you are defending the choke that moment where they change position from choke to crank can give you enough space to break out.
    It is some really well choreographed technique. I don't think his entry into the armbar was fancy, so much as unexpected. Unexpected entries and techniques win fights.

  • @dtyodeller

    One of my biggest pet peeves is when people say that certain techniques wouldn’t work in real life. If they wouldn’t work,then those techniques wouldn’t be taught in the style.

    • @BurridgeMartialArts604
      @BurridgeMartialArts604  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are a lot of techniques that get taught that don't work. Just because someone taught it doesn't make it work. The sad truth is martial arts has been diluted and there are a lot of ineffective things being taught out there

    • @dtyodeller
      @dtyodeller 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BurridgeMartialArts604 Not trying to be belligerent but I’ve seen videos that show that they can work. I suggest watching a Tae Kwon Do demonstration team. They break stuff with flashy kicks.
