For anyone that get stuck try this. I have done this procedure before a year ago but for some reason it would not work for me on my V3 when i tried recently. My fix was to 1st remove the camera from my wyze app and set it up again as a new camera in the wyze app. Once that was done i put the SD card with the RTSP firmware back in the camera and followed the instructions in the video. worked with a 32 GB card as well. Dont know why but it did the trick.
got rtsp firmware update working with a cam pan v1. key was to format my 128gb microsd card with fat32. Exfat did not work. button hold was around 30 seconds before blue flashing then solid blue
followed all instrunctions exactly on my v2 and camera. it would go from orange to blue, release the button then it remains on blinking organge light, even after 15 minutes. did not work for me...
@OMNITEK I have been trying. And apparently it does not work anymore. I used a container called "docker-wyze-bridge" easy to setup on my NAS and now I can just add it to my Survilliance station!! Works like a charm :)
The card must be formatted in FAT32 and the files put directly on the root of the card...it should work...i mean i don't have any 512mb card to try but i would say should work
@@LightHouseReveals i think there is a way, i have been thinking of that too for trail cam with a battery bank...but once i get it working i will make a video on it for sure...these cams would be great for that
@@OMNITEK yeah I’ve seen people on forums mentioning certain custom firmwares which allow it but I can’t seem to find them anywhere. If you do find out I would love to see a video on it. I appreciate any work you do towards this subject. Hope you are having a good day, Or not, it’s up to you. (An old saying from one of my sergeants) 🫡
@@LightHouseReveals definitely will look into it because i need to make some for myself too, had quite a few deer leave their lil gifts for me and take stuff from my garden lol...oh you served?...if so, thank your for your service.
Wyze are not good quality. They are a terrible product. Their own firmware update bricks the cameras and then they are useless. Updating firmware doesn't work. Just a rubbish product.

So if I flash a pan camera to this firmware will I be able to use it offline say as a backup camera for my camper when I do not have internet?

This doesn't work for the Pan v3.
Can anyone confirm this?
