  • The Mumbai Monorail is a rapid transit system in Mumbai, India. It is operated by the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and is currently the only monorail system in India.
    Some key facts:
    The system has a single line that runs from Chembur to Jacob Circle, with 17 stations in between.
    The total length of the line is 19.5 kilometers (12.1 miles).
    -The project cost of the Mumbai Monorail was approximately ₹3,000 crores (around $400 million USD). However, the final cost escalated to around ₹5,500 crores (around $733 million USD)
    The fare ranges from ₹10 to ₹40
    The monorail has a daily ridership of around 100,000 passengers.
    The system uses Bombardier monorail trains, each consisting of 4 coaches.
    The Mumbai Monorail has been a significant addition to the city's public transportation network, providing a convenient and efficient way to travel across the city.
