Yes soaps should address bullying in schools, but it annoys me that they ALWAYS play into typical bully stereotypes. This is NOT what most bullying looks like in schools anymore - it's a lot more subtle, less physical and more verbal eg. pretending to be nice to the quiet kid whilst poking fun at them. The whole slamming people against lockers and stealing their lunch stereotype is outdated imo.
I didn't see any slamming against lockers or stealing lunch. It's true there is more subtlety in real schools now, but physical bullying in various forms has never gone away. There might be less beating up of victims (or maybe it's just done in private places like changing rooms or quiet corridors where not everyone sees it), but making the victim get on his knees to beg for his phone back is realistic.

Mason's a deeply troubled soul. I'm not defending him by any means. There's no place for bullying in this life, but still goes on 😢 I'm going to be utterly candid. I have been on the receiving end of bullying, I have also been a bully myself, believe you me it's nothing to be proud of, I have to live with how I treated this person and I have atoned for my injustice. This person was absent from school alot. I took out the crap I was going through out on them, when they did turn up. Many years later I found why this person attendance was so poor. They were kept at home to look after a physically and mentally disabled relation.❤ Mason is an intimidating character. Bullying in schools is a very serious problem and although they have written a good story line, it should have been complete by now. The producers of Coronation Street are dragging this one out. Resolve the story line. It is uncomfortable for viewers that have been down those cobblestones in the past.
The first boy is really 17 but his baby face makes him look 12 the 2nd boy mason lol would not last 2 minutes around here and poor Liam is stuck in the middle but guys in real life off screen there best mates so keep the comments non hateful and remember there just actors and kids
