    Ingredients:
    -Graham cracker crust
    -8 oz cream cheese
    -14 oz sweet condensed milk
    -1/3 cup lemon juice
    -1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    -1 can cherry pie filling

    I use 2 8oz packages and it makes it thinker and I think better. I have made this for my dad it’s his favorite and I have made it for the last 40 yrs

    This recipe has been around for more than 50 years. My grandmother made it when I was a little girl. I’m now 73. It was my favorite pie back in the 50’s, and still is today.

    Looks good but I think I’d wait for a few hours and get it firmer BEFORE adding the cherries to it. Cn’t wait to try it. Tomorrow’s dessert, yum.

    I don't know what everyone else does but I always bake my g.c. crust, let it cool, then use it. I like the way it tastes better

      I brush my crust lightly with butter and bake it at 350 degrees for 5 minutes. Makes it taste more homemade.

    I love your recipe. I did it twice. I changed it a little bit. Instead of condensed milk I used 1/4 cup of coconut milk and 1/4 from almond milk with some substitute sugar, and 2 packs. of cream cheese. Also I put some blueberries sauce (A half can) on top. Was delicious!! Thanks...

    I make these pies every Thanksgiving and Christmas, my family will eat them up quickly so I have to hide some in the refrigerator for guest who arrive late. Sadly, due to the pandemic I only made one for my household but I’m making another right now because I got one slice. I think that I forgot how good these pies were.

      Same thing happened to me very watery. I added one egg and I cooked it for 30 mins at 325...came out very nice and creamy

      If you make it like this it will be runny. I have to add more cream cheese. I use 1 and 3/4 stick. Still very good but not runny.

      Add a half of another cream cheese

      I add two tablespoons of soft butter and whip it with the cream cheese until light and fluffy, then slowly drizzle in the milk and whip until the mixture gets thick. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, but I do mine overnight. This stopped the pie from being loose.

    First of May 2022, that can of pie filling is $4.17 at Walmart. Cream cheese over two dollars a package. Probably going to go up more.

    Would it not be better to let the cream cheese mixture set in the fridge first before putting the cherry pie filling on it? That prevents the cherries from falling down to the bottom..

    Another easy one. I graham cracker crust. One 8oz cream cheese, one 8oz sour cream, one 8-10oz cool whip & 1/2 cup of sugar. Thaw cream cheese & cool whip to room temperature. Combine all ingredients until smooth. Pour the mixture in the graham cracker crust. Chill for 2-4 hours.

    I have an easier one. 1 8oz cream cheese, 2 TBLS sugar, & I 8oz cool whip. I make a well in the middle & add refrigerated pie filling to the middle. Refrigerate & Walla 🎉

    I made this recipe exactly as it Shone I let it sit in the refrigerator overnight and it did not set up it was still running so I had to freeze it...

      I've had that happen before. Usually it was something wrong with the lemon juice. The acid in lemon juice works with the cream cheese and the condensed milk and some kind of enzyme action..

    Somethings not right .
    I made this two times and it came out runny . (IN fact , I think it ran faster than I can ), will not setup, the only way was to FREEZE IT .
    So I ended up with cherry cheese cake ice cream.😢

    Made the pie but disappointed, it didn’t slice out good, and by the time I put cream cheese, condensed sweet milk, the 2/3 cups lemon and tsp of vanilla it made too much liquid , so it didn’t set up good , too much liquid got the 🥧 pie , you’re looks thin like mine bet it didn’t set up, you didn’t show if it set up I could not slice it.

    NOT GOOD: tried this. It was one of the worst desserts I’ve ever made……way, way over the top sweet and super messy to serve.
    It does not cut well and the presentation wasn’t pleasing at all - I would never serve this to guests.
    The entire pie will probably go in the trash - it’s a diabetic’s nightmare.
    If I had to do it again, I’d use less than half of the cream filling (and significantly reduce the amount of canned milk) and add more of the cherries instead. Plus, I’d use an actual baked pie crust, not a graham cracker crust!
